Chapter 25 I'm a baby pampered by the mother tree~ "Eri~..."

"Yi Lei~" That day, Sang Zhi Tao grabbed Yi Lei, whom she hadn't seen for several days, and tugged at her clothes, acting coquettishly.

“No, Sylph.” Irene pulled her into her arms, held her little hand, gently shook it, and refused.

"Well... I can't stay this big forever, can I?" Sang Zhitao pouted, a little dissatisfied.

Irene patted her head before saying helplessly, "Well... there's nothing I can do. The wind elf's records don't mention anything like your condition."

Sang Zhitao looked at her for a long while before saying, "Then won't my method work?"

Irene shook her head, silently refusing.

Sang Zhitao sighed, leaning against the other person's chest, her face full of frustration.

Looking at her expression, Yi Lei felt somewhat helpless.

In the past, Sang Zhitao's height would change slightly every two or three days. Although the changes were not significant each time, they could still be seen in the data. However, her height has stopped at around 55 centimeters since twenty days ago.

At first, she was relatively calm, but as she stayed in the elf world for longer and her height remained unchanged, she became genuinely worried that she would never be able to return to Earth.

Her anxiety these past few days has caught everyone's attention. Although many people don't understand why she's so eager to grow taller, they've tried many methods for her, but unfortunately, none of them have worked.

It wasn't until yesterday, when she was gnawing on the spirit stone as usual, that she suddenly remembered that her height came from her absorption of energy, and that her current energy sources were the mother tree and the spirit stone.

The mother tree is now rootless, and given its existing damage, it's naturally difficult to find it.

She then thought of eating more spirit stones to absorb energy.

Therefore, she had been eating the spirit stone non-stop since yesterday afternoon, and almost exploded from energy. Fortunately, Kro discovered her in time, and Irene and Tina saved her life. That's why Irene resolutely refused when she asked to use the spirit stone to speed up her growth today.

"Fine, fine." Sang Zhitao pleaded with Yi Lei for a long time, but when she saw that Yi Lei was not swayed at all, she gave up in frustration.

When Yi Lei saw that although she had given up on the surface, a sly glint flashed in her eyes, she immediately understood her wicked plan.

“Kro.” Irene shook her head helplessly before beckoning Kro over. “You follow Sylph closely and give her one spirit stone every day at the same time. Don’t be soft-hearted, understand?”

Kro was initially somewhat softened by Sang Zhitao's plea, but yesterday's accident had terrified her. Now, she nodded repeatedly, patting her chest and making a solemn promise to Yi Lei: "Your Majesty, please rest assured, I will definitely protect Your Highness well!"

Hearing their conversation, Sang Zhitao opened her mouth but didn't say anything, only letting out a deep sigh.

Upon seeing this, Irene's eyes flickered, and she suddenly seemed to realize something. A smile appeared on her face, and she called out, "Monaark."

Monaco's figure quickly appeared in the room.

Irene raised an eyebrow and carried Sang Zhitao from her arms to Chloe's arms before saying to Monark, "Search all the spirit stones in the room."

"Huh?" The one with the strongest reaction was naturally Sang Zhitao. She never expected that Yi Lei was so sensitive that she even knew that she had hidden the spirit stone in the room.

Yi Lei raised an eyebrow at her, pointed at her with her finger, and said nothing.

Sang Zhitao puffed out her cheeks and watched with displeasure as Montalclysso took away all the elven stones she had hidden.

"You're really good at hiding them!" Irene exclaimed in amazement as she looked at the twenty or thirty elf stones in Monark's arms.

"None! Not a single one left! Even the landlord's family has no surplus grain!" Sang Zhitao looked angrily at the elf stones that had been taken away by Meng'erke.

Yi Lei didn't understand the last part of her sentence, but she understood the first part. She couldn't help but smile and pat her head, saying, "I'm doing this for your own good. Be good, be patient, and don't take any risks."

"Hmph ╭(╯^╰)╮." Sang Zhitao snorted lightly, then waved her hands repeatedly, "Hurry up and go, it hurts so much!"

Seeing how genuinely distressed she was, Irene had no choice but to leave with Monaark.

As she watched her leave, Sang Zhitao's eyes flickered with a hint of smugness.

Irene stopped at the door and suddenly said, "Ah! Monark, have the elves in the air register all the elf stones on the spaceship, and check carefully everywhere to see if any are missing, including those from West Asia."

After giving her instructions, Irene left, and all that reached Sang Zhitao's ears was Meng Arke's reply: "Yes."

"Your Highness? Your Highness?" Kro looked at Sang Zhitao, who was frozen in his arms, and couldn't help but feel worried, calling out several times.

"I want to go home..." Sang Zhitao said softly, her whole body as if it had lost its color, as she collapsed into Ke Luo's arms.

Upon hearing her words, Chloe was momentarily lost in thought before continuing, "Chloe misses home too. My treehouse was so beautiful; it took me a year to finish it, it's such a pity..."

Sang Zhitao opened her mouth but didn't say that the home she was referring to was Earth. Looking at the dejected look on Chloe's face, she thought for a long time before saying, "Never mind, I want to read a novel."

Kro snapped out of his daze, put aside his sadness, and carefully placed her on a branch of the fairy tree. This branch was specially carved out by the mother tree for Sang Zhitao, a groove that was perfect for her to lie on and play in.

The recess had already been lined with soft furs by Peg and Crowe, along with fluffy little pillows and pretty little blankets.

After putting Sang Zhitao away, she turned on her personal computer, intending to search for the largest online novel platform in the Star Alliance for her.

She paused for a moment before reminding him, "Your Highness, it's time for class."

Upon hearing her words, Sang Zhitao gasped in shock. She immediately recalled the lessons Yi Lei had arranged for her these past few days, and the profound content that seemed like children's lessons but was actually completely incomprehensible. Her head began to ache.

"No! I don't want to go to class! I want to read novels! I need entertainment to heal my wounded heart!" Sang Zhitao looked at her with her arms crossed, her little mouth pouting, her face full of resistance.

Kro opened his mouth, looked at the light brain in his hand, thought for a moment, then sighed and helplessly opened the novel website for her. He then skillfully set the age limit before pushing the split screen with the set size in front of Sang Zhitao.

Sang Zhitao raised an eyebrow, happily took the split screen, and habitually hugged it to her chest. She looked at the split screen, thought for a moment, then looked at Kro who had reluctantly given in to her request, and cautiously asked, "How about an elf stone?"

Kro looked at her and gave a helpless smile: "I would also like to give it to Your Highness, but I really don't have any."

Seeing her say that, Sang Zhitao had no choice but to turn her attention to the split screen. Looking at the various novels on the screen, she felt satisfied and completely let go of her unhappiness.

If there's anything about the interstellar world that satisfies her, it's the highly developed entertainment content, especially novels, movies, and TV series, which are incredibly diverse, vibrant, and full of different styles and imaginative ideas, making it dazzling.

These are also some of the reasons why Sang Zhitao is so content in interstellar space. If it weren't for such advanced entertainment content, she would probably be bored to death long ago.

Seeing that she was no longer angry, Kro stopped trying to persuade her. He packed a few of Sang Zhitao's favorite snacks and placed them on a branch that was sticking out of her hand. The branch was twisted into a small table, which was just right to become a bedside table.

This was also specially grown by the Fairy Mother Tree for the Mulberry Peach.

"Ah!" Sang Zhitao laughed so hard at the moment that she rolled around on the tree branch and almost fell off.

Kro was peeling fruit for her and didn't react for a moment. He dropped the knife and flew over.

A tree branch ran faster than her, directly catching Sang Zhitao and carefully placing her in the groove. Then, it used several tree branches to carefully surround the groove, forming a beautiful nest.

Seeing this, Chloe breathed a sigh of relief, picked up the knife, and continued peeling fruit for her.

Before long, only the flickering light of the quantum computer and a series of steady breaths remained on the tree branch.

Kro put down the knife in his hand, carefully placed the chopped fruit into a small plate the size of his palm, and then walked to the tree branch.

Only then did she realize that Sang Zhitao had fallen asleep.

Carefully turning off the personal terminal and putting away the fruit plate, just as he was about to cover Sang Zhitao with the small blanket, Chloe was pushed away by a tree branch.

She stepped back a few paces to make room, carefully dragging the small blanket over Sang Zhitao with the branches. She then moved a few more branches over to block out the light before gently shaking the branch on which Sang Zhitao was lying, like a mother rocking a child's cradle.

Kro was already used to this, so he took two steps back to prepare for other things.

Seeing her leave with the things, the mother tree paused its swaying branches, then carefully moved a branch wrapped with something from the other end and gently stuffed it into Sang Zhitao's arms.

In her sleep, Sang Zhitao habitually took the things and hugged them to her chest.

After arranging her affairs, Yi Lei habitually came to visit Sang Zhitao.

Seeing that she was sleeping soundly, I couldn't bear to wake her up. I just reached out a finger and gently touched her little face.

Sang Zhitao turned over, and the small blanket slipped to one side. Yi Lei picked up the small blanket to cover her, but found that she was actually holding a spirit stone with energy that was equivalent to ten spirit stones in her arms. Yi Lei's mouth twitched involuntarily.

There was no need to ask her; she knew that this spirit stone must be the mother tree's private treasure, and an extremely precious one at that.

She took two steps back and looked at the Elf Mother Tree.

The swaying leaves of the mother tree seemed to be frozen in place by a magic spell that stopped time.

The mother tree leaned back slightly, looking guilty.

Yi Lei rubbed her aching temples, glanced at the mother tree, then at the sleeping Sang Zhi Tao, gritted her teeth, and warned in a low voice, "You did this yourself, so you have to bear the consequences. If she uses yesterday's method again, she'll be either dead or seriously injured. You can't spoil the child like this!"

The mother tree tilted its body slightly to the side, covering the branch where the mulberry peach was located, before extending another branch and swaying it.

Although Irene didn't understand what she meant, she understood her thoughts: "I don't care! I won't confiscate it! Just keep it by my side for the next few days! You're not allowed to see it!"

The mother tree paused, its branches swaying repeatedly, and soon another branch reached out and carefully flicked Yi Lei's back.

Irene looked at her incredulously: "You!"

She quickly lowered her voice, then said angrily, "Don't you think you're being too soft-hearted? I know she's a cub! Even cubs shouldn't be spoiled!"

The mother tree shifted its body again, completely hiding the mulberry peach behind it.

Yi Lei's chest heaved as she took several deep breaths before saying helplessly, "No! No! You keep an eye on her! Don't let anything happen again!"

The mother tree shifted its body slightly before extending a branch to tap it. Then, before Yi Lei could speak, it used the branch to push her forcefully until she was pushed away. Only then did it return to its original position and carefully shake the sleeping branch of Sang Zhi Tao.

Irene was pushed out the door, panting heavily. She was so angry that she almost lost her regal composure. She looked at Kro approaching and gritted her teeth, whispering, "I'll have Peg come over these next few days. If you need anything, tell Peg to do it. Keep a close eye on them inside!"

Kro nodded in agreement, looking puzzled.

Yi Lei was so angry that she forgot to tell her what to keep an eye on, and stomped away on the floor.

Seeing her unusually angry expression, Chloe was even more puzzled. She scratched her head before carrying the various snacks she had prepared into the room.

Not long after, Peg and her men set up a temporary kitchen in the room, then connected the room with the adjacent room and added two more beds.

"Just tell me if you need anything." Peg yawned as she lay down on the bed and fell asleep soon after.

These past few days, they've been incredibly busy catching rebels and dealing with the preparations to send some of their people back to their home planet. Now that they finally have an easier task, they can finally relax and get a good night's sleep.

Kro knew what the guards and troops had been busy with lately, so he didn't say much. He carefully covered her with a blanket and went to the small kitchen to prepare dinner.
