Chapter 325 Earth Reunion (End of Main Text) ...
“You guys…” Sang Zhitao looked at the group and couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. “Why do I feel like your attitude towards that base commander is strange?”
Sang Ruoruo glanced at Lin Jing before saying softly, "This is a long story, and this person's background isn't exactly clean."
Sang Zhitao looked at her blankly before realizing what she meant.
"What? How can someone like this be allowed here?" Sang Zhitao frowned and looked at Lin Jing beside her.
Lin Jing chuckled and patted Sang Ruoruo's shoulder. After Sang Ruoruo moved aside, she chuckled and said, "Don't worry, I took a lot of things with me. I left some less important ones, just for fishing."
Sang Ruoruo also explained, "Those countries are still not giving up and want to find out the secrets of the base. That's how the first base director after Grandpa Li stepped down was bribed."
Sang Ruoruo sighed as she spoke: "At that time, everyone suddenly realized that, given that it was impossible to guard against everything, fishing in this way was not impossible."
Sang Zhitao looked into her eyes, where a complex mix of emotions lay hidden, and then at the hint of regret that flashed across Lin Jing's face. She nodded thoughtfully.
She didn't need to ask for details; she could tell from their attitudes that the discovery of the new base chief's treason must have had a significant impact on the base.
Lin Jing seemed to have thought of something before she explained softly, "It's not that we're disregarding you or using your secret as bait, it's just that you're not here, so we can't take your teleportation point away for the time being."
Sang Zhitao waved her hand dismissively.
Before leaving this time, she had already approached the complete form of world consciousness, and left no obvious trace in the base.
She was not afraid of the other party's probing and information gathering.
Seeing her like this, Lin Jing's lips curled up into a familiar smile: "I told you you wouldn't care."
Sang Zhitao chuckled twice before asking about the other people.
It was from the other party that she learned that most of the old professors had either gone to more secret bases or had their restrictions lifted and returned to the research laboratory.
Although Li Mingguo and others have stepped down from their positions due to health reasons, they are in good health.
As they spoke, they arrived at the large, single-level room that Sang Zhitao had left at the lunar base.
"Tao Tao!" Before they could even stand up straight, Sang Lezhi threw herself into her sister's arms. "Why were you gone for so long? I was so worried!"
Sang Leping looked at the two of them with a smile, took his wife's hand with one hand, and slowly walked forward: "It's good that you're back, it's good that you're back."
Li Mingguo stood not far away, watching them with a smile.
"Uncle Li." Sang Zhitao quickly stepped forward to greet him before looking at the person next to her.
"Elder, Professor Zeng, Professor Ling, Team Leader Sheng An..." When former colleagues appeared before her again, even Sang Zhitao, who had already become a god, couldn't help but feel her eyes well up with tears.
"You've become a god, why are you still shedding little pearls?" The elder couldn't help but tease her when he saw her eyes were a little wet.
Sang Zhitao quickly wiped away her tears before turning to look at Ruoyin, who had an air of otherworldly grace.
"haven't seen you for a long time."
Ruoyin chuckled and hugged her, saying, "Long time no see."
After exchanging greetings, the group finally gathered at the sofa.
The eldest elder, along with Li Mingguo, Professor Zeng, and others, as the oldest members of the group, sat on the largest sofa and exchanged work-related information.
Ling Ping, Lang Yue, Sheng An, and other former middle-aged and young generation members, having not seen each other for many years, gathered at the tea table behind the sofa, brewing tea and reminiscing.
He Lei, Lin Jing, Sang Leping, Sang Lezhi, Zhang Su, and other peers from back then gathered on the carpet in the middle of the living room and sat down to chat about their recent situations.
Sang Ruoruo, her younger sister Sang Momo, and her older sister's children Wang Ying and Wang Tian, as the youngest children, were responsible for serving tea and water and snacks to the elders, and were also frequently questioned about their work and studies.
"The professor just asked me an agricultural question, and I'm completely stumped..." Wang Ying shuddered and whispered to Sang Ruoruo.
Seeing the lingering fear in her eyes, Sang Ruoruo couldn't help but roll her eyes: "Sister, your grades are so good, you've been in top journals seven times this year, what are you afraid of?"
Wang Ying pushed up her glasses, staring intently at her with dead fish eyes: "Aren't you afraid of running into your boss who might suddenly ask you a question?"
Sang Ruoruo's mind flashed with Li Mingguo's face, and she couldn't help but tremble.
Although Li Mingguo is no longer in charge of base affairs, he is the training officer for all subsequent base personnel. It can be said that every base director and secretary after him sees him as if he were their former headmaster.
"Why are you scaring the child?" The elder glanced at the child out of the corner of his eye and couldn't help but give Professor Zeng a sidelong look.
Professor Zeng chuckled: "These kids have become lax ever since they left school. We need to keep them on their toes."
"I'd be more inclined to believe you if you just said you were just teasing the kids," Li Mingguo couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Professor Zeng raised an eyebrow, but instead of explaining that he didn't mean it that way, a hint of mockery flashed in his eyes.
Although the adults were chatting amongst themselves, they were all paying attention to other things, and they couldn't help but chuckle at the children's actions.
"Speaking of which, is your current appearance your final true form?" Sang Lezhi looked at his sister's dark green hair and heterochromatic eyes and couldn't help but ask.
Sang Zhitao hugged her long, floor-length hair to her chest, nodded slightly, and then shook her head.
The group looked at her blankly.
Sang Zhitao chuckled and explained, "My true form does look like this, but this is my human form, not my real true form."
"I still can't see your true form?" Sang Lezhi said with some regret.
Sang Zhitao nodded: "Yes, for humans, looking directly at a god is a very dangerous thing."
Upon hearing her say this, Sang Lezhi, who had long anticipated seeing her complete true form, looked regretful.
Seeing his younger sister display an unusually lively demeanor, Sang Leping couldn't help but chuckle and tap her forehead.
Sang Lezhi touched the tip of his nose, looked at Sang Zhitao and asked, "You just said this is your true human form, do you also have a non-human form?"
Sang Zhitao nodded.
The people chatting around them couldn't help but look over with curiosity.
Sang Zhitao thought for a moment, suppressed the divine power within her body, and a green light appeared on her body.
Before the light faded, everyone's expectations were at their peak.
When the light faded, a light pink octopus the size of a soccer ball appeared on the carpet.
"This is your real form?!" Sang Lezhi exclaimed in surprise as he carefully picked her up.
Sang Zhitao's tentacles gently grasped her sister's arm: "Yes, I can only control this size for now. If it gets too big, I won't be able to suppress the divine power, and that will cause trouble."
Sang Lezhi paid no attention to her words, only nodding reflexively, her eyes fixed on her: "So cute..."
"Pink! It's so cute!" Lin Jing and the others also came over.
"It's so soft!" Wang Tian quietly reached out her finger, carefully poked it, and exclaimed in surprise.
"It looks pretty much the same as a regular octopus, except for the color." Ling Ping and Lang Yue, both biology experts, were looking at Sang Zhitao with great interest.
Sang Zhitao trembled involuntarily under their gazes and instinctively shrank into her sister's arms.
"Don't scare the children," Team Leader Sheng An couldn't help but say as he walked behind Ling Ping and Lang Yue.
The two of them immediately rubbed their noses awkwardly, nodded, and moved aside a little.
Each person held Sang Zhitao in their arms for a while before handing her over to the next person.
By the time Sang Zhitao returned after making her rounds, three hours had passed.
She stared blankly into the void, looking utterly pathetic and devoid of any will to live.
Sang Lezhi couldn't help but laugh, so he hugged her and kissed her before putting her back on the carpet.
Sang Zhitao quickly transformed into human form and breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
Seeing her like this, everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter.
The laughter lingered in the room for a long time before finally dissipating.
The sky suddenly darkened for a moment, and the room lights turned on automatically.
The natural warm light was replaced by the white light from the electric lamp, which made Sang Zhitao suddenly feel uncomfortable.
She frowned slightly as she looked out the floor-to-ceiling window, where a huge shadow slowly flew across the moon.
"What's going on? What is that?" Sang Zhitao asked, stunned.
In order to prevent the collapse of the Earth, she can only suppress her divine power as much as possible, to the point that she is not even as powerful as she was before she went to the God Realm.
Everyone looked out the window, then at Sang Zhitao, before realizing, "We forgot, this was a decision you made before you came back."
"Today is Stargazing Day," Lin Jing said softly, glancing at the time.
"What is 'Qianxing Ri'?" Sang Zhitao was even more confused.
He Lei explained, "Since our technology has become more and more advanced, Earth has been independently protected as a protected area, and those countries living on Earth have been forcibly relocated off Earth by region."
Before Sang Zhitao could speak, he continued, "We have found several planets that are very similar to Earth. Most of them are occupied by our Eastern Kingdom. They form a star cluster based on a main star and ten companion stars."
"Countries X and A were thrown onto the other planets."
“However…” He couldn’t help but frown, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes.
Lin Jing continued, "Especially countries X, P, and Y, they're nothing but troublemakers and cesspools."
"After more than a dozen adjustments, a vote has now been passed to relocate them to the same planet and remove them from the main star cluster."
Sang Zhitao nodded knowingly: "Where do you plan to move that planet?"
"Let's relocate them to the outskirts first. We can't really exile them to the frontier; that would just give people something to talk about," Lin Jing sighed.
"You have no idea what these countries have done in the last two years, it's terrifying," Sang Lezhi said with disdain.
Sang Zhitao looked around and found that everyone, from the Grand Elder to Wang Tian, had eyes full of disdain and disgust.
Seeing this, Sang Zhitao stopped talking and instead asked other questions: "Now that all the countries have moved out, is Earth completely uninhabited by humans?"
"Hmm," the elder said from the side, "After a public vote, Earth was preserved as a human relic and is now named Human Museum Star, inhabited only by a small number of archaeologists and conservationists."
Sang Zhitao paused for a moment before nodding: "You can handle the human affairs."
"Speaking of Tao Tao, will you time travel again?" Sang Leping couldn't help but ask.
Sang Zhitao shook her head: "No, everything has been resolved."
"So what will you do after that?" he continued. "How about staying here forever? We haven't had a proper time together in so many years."
Sang Zhitao chuckled and nodded: "Now that humans no longer need my help, it's not impossible for me to take a break for a while."
"Wow!" Sang Lezhi's eyes lit up, and she couldn't help but tug at her sleeve and ask eagerly, "Shall we go on a trip? Come to think of it, even though we live on Earth, we've never actually traveled together before."
"Travel, huh..." Sang Zhitao glanced around, her eyes darting around, and chuckled lightly, "I wonder if you'd be interested in a trip to another world?"
-----------------------
Author's Note: The main story is finished. There will be a side story about traveling to another world, mainly to meet friends. I think I've reached the end of the story about Earth's development. The former enemies have been suppressed to the bottom. I can't think of anything more sci-fi than this. My imagination is lacking. I'll probably add some stories about ordinary people in other countries. I'll see if I have enough words for the next ranking. I hope to finish the story in the next ranking period.
