Chapter 6: Taoist Priest's Grace? (1/2)

Chapter 6: Taoist Priest Shows Grace?

Hey, grandma, this reaction isn't right!

"Grandma, what's wrong with you?"

"My dearest baby! Taoist Priest, did he say anything else to you?"

Grandma spoke cautiously, her face looking a little nervous and scared.

"Yes! The Taoist priest said that my family had done him a favor in my past life. He knew that my family was in trouble, so he not only helped me open my spiritual intelligence, but also gave me a space to grow and store things!"

In order to increase the credibility of his words, Nuanbao took out the wine jug that he had put away in the space.

Looking at the wine jug that appeared out of nowhere in her granddaughter's arms, the grandmother quickly covered her mouth, her eyes filled with shock.

"Nuanbao, tell grandma, do you feel uncomfortable using this space?"

Nuanbao was afraid that his grandmother would feel uncomfortable if she knew that he had consumed too much mental energy, and would then stop him from using the space, so he could only tilt his head pretending to be confused.

"Well, Nuanbao is not feeling uncomfortable, he's just hungry!"

"Oh, look at grandma's brains! It's already noon, aren't you hungry? Nuanbao, play in the yard for a while. I'll boil eggs and make noodles for you!"

After saying that, grandma didn't care about being surprised anymore, and immediately opened the door with the warm bottle in her arms.

“Plop!”

"Ah! Third brother, you're pressing down on my legs, hurry up, get out of the way!"

"Oh, oh, I'll get up right away, right away, how about it, is it late?"

The eavesdropping duo scrambled to their feet, brushed the dirt off each other, and pretended not to notice the angry look in their grandmother's eyes.

"You two are already so old, why are you still so unruly? Whatever you just heard, keep it to yourself. If he dares to tell anyone about it, I'll break his legs. Okay, it's noon now, and it will be time to go to work soon. After lunch, both of you come to work with me this afternoon!"

At first, the couple both shook their heads, saying they didn't hear anything. In fact, they really didn't hear what was said. When they heard that they were asked to go to school, they both showed reluctance.

"Oh! Mom, I went to school this morning. I want to go to the mountains this afternoon."

What Nuanba hates most is going to school, so he quickly uses his usual tricks.

Grandma looked at her skinny little granddaughter in her arms and rubbed the big bump on her forehead with heartache.

"Nuanbao has suffered a lot this time, it's really time for him to have some nourishment! Then Xiaoqin, come with me to school this afternoon!"

Nuan's father was delighted to hear this, but when he turned around and saw his wife's envious and jealous eyes, he quickly put away his smug expression to avoid being vented on others' anger.

"Don't be afraid, wife. I'll come back and help you once I get the meat!"

Nuan's mother rolled her eyes at Nuan's father, took Nuan Bao from grandma's arms, and rubbed Nuan Bao's little nose affectionately with her own nose.

"Our little lucky star is hungry, right?"

As he spoke, he held Nuanbao in one hand and placed the other hand in front of Nuanbao with a clenched fist. Under Nuanbao's suspicious gaze, he smiled and spread out his palm.

Three round peanuts lay on the palm of his hand.

"Wife, you're really good! Even with our uncle watching so closely, you were still able to succeed. You're amazing, really amazing!"

Nuanba came over and started blowing his fair share of compliments. His idiotic look made Grandma speechless. She went up to Nuanba and slapped him on the back of the head.

"Are you stupid? What kind of glorious thing is this? You're shouting so loudly because you're afraid others won't know what happened when Xiaoqin took the peanut seeds while she was planting them?"

Even after being scolded, Nuan's father was not angry and smiled playfully at grandma.
