Chapter 97: So Embarrassed
Chu Ran almost choked on the water. After coughing violently a few times, he hesitated for a moment, put down the teacup, and walked over to open the door.
Li Fu stood at the door, holding a quilt between his legs.
Chu Ran thought that because the weather had turned cold recently, Li Fu cared about him and came to give him a new quilt. He was touched and readily accepted it, "Thank you."
Li Fu watched Chu Ran happily take the quilt over and hesitated whether he should tell Chu Ran the truth, but in the end he decided to go into the house first.
Chu Ran went to put the quilt on the bed. After Li Fu entered the room, he casually turned on the light. When the room was bright, Li Fu turned around and looked at Chu Ran who was making the bed. Chu Ran was still muttering, "Isn't it too hot to cover two beds? Forget it, let's take out the quilt when it's cooler."
When saying this, Chu Ran had forgotten that he might not have the chance to take it out and cover it again in the future.
He was planning to fold the quilt and put it in the closet. Just as he walked to the closet and was about to open it to put the quilt on the top layer, Li Fu came over and stopped him.
"This is for me." Li Fu took the quilt again, walked to the bedside and put the quilt on it.
Chu Ran turned around and looked at him with a slightly embarrassed look on his face. It turned out that it was not for him.
etc.
Chu Ran then realized a question belatedly: Why did Li Fu take his quilt over?
Li Fu moved Chu Ran's quilt to the back, and then put his own quilt next to it. After spreading it out and staring at it for a while, Li Fu finally realized something, "I forgot to bring a pillow. It seems I have to go back again."
"I have another pillow here."
Chu Ran turned around, opened the closet, took out the pillow, and handed it to Li Fu, "It's new, I haven't used it before."
Li Fu took it and placed it on the quilt.
Chu Ran lowered his head, "Are you going to sleep here tonight?"
"Yeah." Li Fu responded as a matter of course and sat on the bed.
Chu Ran blurted out, "But the bed is very small, it will be very crowded for two people to sleep on it."
"It's okay." Li Fu said, "I don't mind."
"And I...my sleeping posture is not good either. I might disturb your sleep at night."
"Really? My sleeping position is worse. That's perfect. We shouldn't blame each other."
Chu Ran looked at Li Fu, hesitant to speak for a long time, then asked tentatively: "Is it only tonight?"
Li Fu: "That's not necessarily true."
Chu Ran spoke the truth: "But I don't think this is a good idea."
"It's not bad at all."
"You've grown up, shouldn't you sleep on your own? And your bed is so big, it must be more comfortable than here. I don't know why you want to sleep here."
"That's true." Li Fu said, "Since you think this bed is too small, why don't we change places and sleep in my place?"
"That's not what I meant." Chu Ran frowned, feeling that Li Fu had deliberately misinterpreted his meaning. "I remember telling you before that there should be more distance between us."
"You need to keep a distance from outsiders." Li Fu said seriously, "You don't need to do that in private. This is what you agreed to."
"I didn't..."
Chu Ran wanted to refute immediately, saying that it was not him who said this, but Li Fu himself. But soon, Li Fu said, "Chu Ran, I'm going back to Yunzhou soon. I want to stay with you for a while longer. Is that not possible?"
Chu Ran was stunned.
It turned out that Li Fu also knew that he would be returning to Yunzhou soon.
Almost instantly, Chu Ran softened his heart. They might only have a few days left to be together.
"I'll lie down first."
Li Fu seemed to treat himself as his own home. Although this was indeed his own territory, the way he took off his clothes was too smooth.
Li Fu placed his fingers on the straps of his snow-white blouse, and seemed ready to untie them. Chu Ran quickly turned her head away, blushing unconsciously, "Wear it to sleep?"
Some people just like to take off all their clothes before going to bed. Li Fu sometimes did this when he was a child.
Li Fu looked up at Chu Ran and caught a glimpse of his red ears. Li Fu raised his eyebrows and said reluctantly, "Okay."
He didn't really intend to take off all his clothes, he just wanted to tease Chu Ran, and every time he teased Chu Ran, it seemed like he would succeed.
Li Fu had already covered himself with the quilt and lay down on the bed. He looked at Chu Ran who was still standing there like a pole, turned over, and closed his eyes as if nothing had happened.
Chu Ran stared at Li Fu's back, motionless and quiet. Chu Ran breathed a sigh of relief, guessing that he should be asleep, so he blew out the candles and climbed onto the bed quietly.
He pulled the quilt and crawled into the quilt with a small movement. In the middle, he glanced at Li Fu, who had his eyes closed and was breathing evenly. Chu Ran breathed a sigh of relief. He had just laid down next to the bed when he heard a noise. Chu Ran was startled and looked to the side. It was just that Li Fu had turned over again.
Chu Ran breathed a sigh of relief and slowly lay down.
It was bright outside. Chu Ran sat up with half-closed eyes and stretched as he did in the past. But the next moment, he realized something was wrong. He carefully lifted the quilt and just had time to take a look inside when the slightly closed door suddenly opened and Li Fu walked in with his head down and sleeves rolled up.
Li Fu had just done a set of boxing exercises in the yard, and now his whole body was emitting heat, looking energetic and refreshed.
"Awake?" Li Fu said with a smile, "Since you are awake, get up. The kitchen has already prepared breakfast."
Chu Ran's face flushed, and he responded with "hmm", but his body slowly slid into the quilt. After a while, Chu Ran lay back in the quilt like a corpse.
Li Fu took a sip of water and looked at Chu Ran again, only to find that he had actually laid down again. Chu Ran had pulled the quilt to cover half of his face, leaving only two bright eyes. He muffled his voice and said, "I... I want to sleep for a while longer, so I won't eat."
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Li Fu walked to the bedside and looked at Chu Ran with his eyes downcast. But Chu Ran was worried that Li Fu would notice something strange, so he immediately pulled the quilt to cover his face. His head was buzzing, and he made excuses randomly, "Recently... I haven't slept well recently... I want to... I want to make up for my sleep... Don't bother me..."
Li Fu listened to his voice and it didn't sound like there was any problem, so he said, "You go to sleep first, I'll go out to eat."
The door made a closing sound and the footsteps gradually faded away. Only when the footsteps disappeared completely did Chu Ran throw back the quilt in despair, jump off the bed, and start to clean up in a hurry.
He said that people have grown up and can no longer sleep with others! Fortunately, Li Fu didn't see such an embarrassing scene, otherwise he would not be able to face people!
It took a long time to clean up, and Chu Ran finally sat down on the ground, grabbing a handful of his hair in annoyance.
It would be better for Li Fu to explain it clearly and let him sleep alone!
