Chapter 128 Added Ingredients to the Water (shuhaige.net)

Yin Huaizhu gazed out the window at the distant fireworks.

His slender fingertips slowly traced the carved wooden plaque hanging on his chest.

The pale fingers contrasted sharply with the black wooden plaque.

The upturned corners of his lips on his pale, paper-white face revealed a subtle, enigmatic meaning.

The slightly upward curve seemed to be trying to suppress some surging emotion.

Like a sharp blade, it ruthlessly pierced through the facade of calm, exposing the pain and helplessness hidden deep within.

Hang Suisui took a small cup and filled it with water.

She stared at the crystal-clear pure water in the glass in front of her.

The surface of the water was as calm as a mirror, without a single ripple.

Hang Suisui's fingertips glowed with a faint green light as she gently placed them into the water.

The moment the fingertip touched the water, as the green light dissipated, the finger transformed into a ginseng root, with wispy ginseng whiskers swaying inside the cup.

Hang Suisui rested her chin on one hand, wiggling her fingertips as she felt the cool touch of the water.

When ginseng, imbued with spiritual energy, is steeped in water, its medicinal effects should not be too strong all at once.

Gently pushed open the window, turned around and went into the room.

The room was dimly lit, with only the small wall lamps on.

"Take it back and keep it safe. If you lose it again, you'll end up looking for apartments like them."

Yin Qian reached out and took the map from Yin Huaizhu with both hands.

I quickly glanced at it and saw a few large characters written on it.

The methods of Gu practitioners.

If this technique, which has long been extinct in the world, were to be spread by someone with ulterior motives, the three sects and five religions outside who practice Gu poison and other magical arts would be thrown into chaos.

The sects were at odds, and out of fear, they wanted to destroy it, while unorthodox practitioners wanted to seize and exploit it.

This wasn't the first time the Miao witches had infiltrated the building, hoping to obtain it.

Their building contains many secret and forbidden techniques that have been passed down to the public.

Yinqian put away the map and said with a smile.

"Hehehe, this was an accident. You've already punished the gatekeepers. You can't punish me, can you? We still have some relationship, right? Hahahaha."

Seeing Yin Huaizhu look up at him, Yunqian quickly changed the subject.

His gaze swept over Yin Huaizhu as she put the precious carved wooden plaque back around her neck.

He glanced at Yin Huaizhu and asked with a smile.

"You've changed your mind? Aren't you afraid of upsetting her?"

Yin Huaizhu gently held the wooden plaque in her hand and put it back inside her clothes, thus shielding herself from the slightly mocking gaze that Jin Qian was giving her.

Feeling the slightly cool touch of the wooden plaque reattached to his chest, he spoke softly.

"If being sad can make her remember me, if it can leave a trace in her hundreds or thousands of years..."

As Yin Qian listened, he frowned. He turned his head and saw the bloodstained handkerchief that Yin Huaizhu had casually discarded on the floor.

He turned around abruptly and stared at Yin Huaizhu.

"Why do you have to torture yourself like this?! Humans and ghosts are different, and humans and demons are even more different. What do you want? I really don't understand you anymore!"

He had been torturing himself for years, even at the cost of shortening his lifespan, saying he just wanted to see her one more time.

When he saw her again, he couldn't let go and said he wanted to stay with her for a while.

But now that she has seen him and he is by her side, Jinqian doesn't understand why Yin Huaizhu is starting to torment her again.

He wanted to leave some kind of mark on her heart.

Yinqian took a deep breath.

What a tragedy...

The little girl saved Yin Huaizhu from the fire, but then caused Yin Huaizhu to fall into another abyss from which she could not escape.

Yin Huaizhu looked at the somewhat exasperated Jin Qian.

"You don't understand...you don't understand human desires...they spread, they proliferate, they become uncontrollable...cough cough cough...cough..."

Hearing Yin Huaizhu cough, Yunqian dared not speak harshly anymore. He frowned, angrily turning his head away and refusing to look at Yin Huaizhu again.

A soft knocking sounded at the door.

Immediately afterwards, Liang Gui's voice came in.

"Fifth Master, I've brought some documents over."

Yin Huaizhu put down the silk handkerchief and glanced at Yuqian, who was standing in the middle of the room.

Jinqian turned around and disappeared into the house.

Yin Huaizhu then spoke calmly, "Come in."

As soon as Liang Gui pushed open the door and entered the house, just as he was about to close it, a small, light green figure carrying a water glass suddenly appeared at the doorway and squeezed in as well.

Liang Gui looked down and smiled, "Miss, you've come too."

Upon hearing this, Yin Huaizhu immediately looked towards the door and saw Hang Suisui carrying a cup of water, walking towards him with her short legs.

His gaze swept over the bloodstained silk handkerchief he had casually tossed onto the floor earlier.

Feeling a little anxious, he called out to Liang Gui.

"Liang Gui!"

Upon hearing Yin Huaizhu's call, Liang Gui quickly passed Hang Suisui and handed the document to Yin Huaizhu, who was sitting at the desk.

Fifth Master.

Is this document important? Is the group facing a life-or-death decision?

Seeing Liang Gui standing next to the desk, perfectly blocking the view of the silk handkerchief, Yin Huaizhu slowly reached out and took the document.

After placing the documents on the table, he looked in Hang Suisui's direction.

However, Yin Huaizhu hadn't anticipated that the perspective of someone less than 1.5 meters tall is completely different from that of someone 1.9 meters tall.

Halfway there, Hang Suisui saw a bright red, dazzling silk handkerchief on the floor in front of her.

She paused slightly, gripping the cup in her hand tighter.

He pondered to himself.

It seems this handwashing water won't work.

I never imagined that Yin Huaizhu's illness was so serious.
