Hang Suisui turned her head and looked in the direction where Yin Huaizhu was walking slowly towards her from the side.
She smiled and put down her teacup, introducing him to the nervous Qingsong beside her: "He is the owner of this garden, a very nice person, you don't need to be nervous."
When Hang Suisui saw Qingsong's frightened appearance, she assumed he was afraid of being seen.
Yin Huaizhu walked slowly forward and sat down next to Hang Suisui.
Hang Suisui picked up the teapot, poured a cup of tea, and handed it to Yin Huaizhu: "He is a pine tree spirit. I met him by chance. At the time, he was being chased by some bad guys, so I brought him here to hide."
After Yin Huaizhu reached out and took the teacup, Hang Suisui spoke again.
"Don't be afraid, he won't hurt anyone."
With a spirit in the house, she was worried that Yin Huaizhu might feel awkward around strangers.
However, to Hang Suisui's surprise, Yin Huaizhu did not show much surprise, nor did she seem awkward or afraid.
Yin Huaizhu's focus left Hang Suisui somewhat puzzled.
Yin Huaizhu calmly sipped her tea, glanced indifferently at Qingsong, who stood beside her looking nervous and at a loss for words.
"Being chased by a few bad guys?"
Sitting on the stool watching Yin Huaizhu, Hang Suisui didn't notice that Qingsong, standing to the side, was shaking his head so hard he didn't dare to breathe.
Upon hearing Yin Huaizhu's question, Hang Suisui immediately put down her teacup and began to passionately describe the situation to Yin Huaizhu.
"Of course! You have no idea how wicked they are! I heard they're some kind of department, and they catch anything that's become a spirit! They've scared all the sentient spirits in the mountains so much that they're afraid to leave! And their so-called department head, I've met him, he's obviously no good!"
As Qingsong listened to Hang Suisui's description, his face turned ashen as he gripped his teacup, not daring to look at Yin Huaizhu's expression.
He stared at Hang Suisui, speechless, and waved his hand, "That, that one isn't either..."
But before Qingsong could finish speaking, Yin Huaizhu's gentle voice rang out.
He smiled as he looked at Hang Suisui, who was excitedly describing her work: "Have you met their Chief?"
Yin Huaizhu gently stroked the rim of the teacup with her fingertips, a fleeting smile in her eyes.
Hang Suisui picked up the teapot and poured herself a cup of tea: "Of course I've seen it!"
She picked up the teacup and drank it all in one gulp.
"Let me tell you, we were hiding in that big tree, and they searched for us under the tree but couldn't find us!"
At this point, Hang Suisui showed a hint of smugness, raised the corner of her eye, and continued speaking.
"I parted the leaves on the tree and looked down!"
"Guess what?"
Yin Huaizhu slowly raised the corners of her lips and picked up the teacup to her lips.
He readily followed up, asking, "What's wrong?"
Hang Suisui slapped the table, smiled, and tilted her head to look at Yin Huaizhu.
"I saw their chief clerk!"
Yin Huaizhu gazed intently at Hang Suisui with deep eyes, and spoke slowly and softly, "Oh? You saw it clearly?"
Hang Sui Sui nodded firmly.
"Look closely! He's quite tall, wearing all black, and looks to have a good figure!"
Yin Huaizhu, holding her teacup, continued to ask, "That's it?"
Hang Suisui looked at Yin Huaizhu and said, "Ah, is that all?"
The big tree behind him made it impossible to see his face clearly from above.
I can see it, and it's clear, but I can't see the whole thing.
Yin Huaizhu brought the teacup to her lips, concealing the corners of her lips that were turned up, and smiled silently.
Hang Suisui thought for a moment and then continued, "His voice was deep and cold, and his aura... how should I put it?"
She looked Yin Huaizhu up and down, pondered for a moment, and said, "He's the complete opposite of you. He looks cold and aloof, not like a good person."
Qingsong, standing to the side, was completely heartbroken.
He hadn't expected this demon to be so audacious, nor had he expected that she wouldn't know the identity of the person sitting next to her.
When Qingsong's gaze swept over Yin Huaizhu, he trembled and almost knelt down.
At that moment, he had only one thought in his mind.
Oh no, my life, which I barely escaped with, is in danger again.
Qingsong's neck tightened, and he cautiously looked at Yin Huaizhu, praying that he wouldn't suddenly fly into a rage.
Yin Huaizhu looked down at the teacup in her hand and blinked.
Is he really that unlike a good person?
After a moment's hesitation, Yin Huaizhu changed the subject and asked with a smile, "So how did you manage to evade them?"
Hiding in the tree.
The tracking devices in their hands all malfunctioned.
This is definitely not a coincidence.
Hang Suisui smiled: "Those tracking devices they have are useless against me."
Yin Huaizhu reached out and picked up the teapot, adding another cup of tea to Hang Suisui's cup.
Noticing the water stains on Hang Suisui's fingertips, she reached out and took out the handkerchief she always carried with her.
He took Hang Suisui's wrist and bent down to carefully wipe the water stains off her fingers.
She replied casually, "Sui Sui is so amazing."
Hang Suisui looked down at her fingertips, which were being held in Yin Huaizhu's hand.
"Of course."
Watching Yin Huaizhu slowly and methodically wipe her fingers, Hang Suisui didn't feel anything was wrong for a moment.
Throughout her time here, Yin Huaizhu has been taking care of her in this way.
"So, could we let him hide here for a while? After some time, that Si thing will probably stop watching him."
The pine tree, which had been standing to the side half-dead, suddenly came to its senses.
She quickly waved her hand at Hang Suisui: "Ah? No no no no..."
