Chapter 15 The Feeling of Being Human

To ensure that the Lin family's situation never happens again, we must ensure that Lin Yu never experiences a repeat of what happened to the Lin family.

So.

The first thing to address is Lin Yu's extremely Yin constitution, so that he can live like a normal person.

This is a constitution he was born with, and it's impossible to completely resolve it.

Unless you defy fate!

A person's destiny is predetermined at birth.

A person's fate is like a fixed framework; you can modify it within it, but you can't go beyond the outside of this framework.

Just as you can't make a beggar an emperor, you can only find out why he was homeless and prevent him from becoming homeless again.

With her by Lin Yu's side, ghosts naturally dare not approach, but if she were not there, Lin Yu would be in trouble.

An extremely yin body that easily attracts ghosts and spirits...

Hang Suisui looked down at her short, chubby little hands.

In the past, she could have easily dealt with it; she could have just given him a talisman to carry with him, and the ghosts would have been too afraid to approach.

She looked up again at the distant, layered mountains outside the window, one mountain after another...

Where could she find talisman paper?

Can a talisman be drawn remotely and then injected into Lin Yu's body?

That's one way, but I don't know how long the talisman she's drawing will last.

Given Lin Yu's physique, if the talisman were inside him, it would be consumed faster as he grew older.

No, it needs a vessel to sustain the talisman for longer.

We must maintain this until Lin Yu grows up!

"Hey girl, Lin Yu, come out for dinner!"

Old Chen's kind and loud voice came from outside the curtain, accompanied by the soft clinking of bowls and chopsticks.

Hang Suisui jumped off the bed and quickly pulled Lin Yu, who had also just gotten off the bed, out of the room.

As soon as the curtain was lifted, the aroma of farm-style cooking filled the air.

She hasn't eaten since that unreliable system buried her in the mountains!

It is important to know that humans are only human because they eat grains!

The long-awaited aroma of food brought a smile to Hang Suisui's face!

Suddenly I felt like I was human again!

She came back to life!

Lin Yu lowered his head, his gaze falling on their clasped hands. The other person's hands were smaller than his, with chubby, pink and white fingers.

Even in the sweltering summer heat, his body temperature was a bit low. The soft touch and warm temperature of his palm made him feel slightly dazed.

It's been so long since I've felt this temperature.

Lin Yu was caught off guard and pulled by Hang Suisui to the table, whereupon they let go of each other's hands.

He pursed his lips and unconsciously clenched his hands, which still retained some warmth.

For Hang Suisui now, a solid wood dining table and bench are considered quite luxurious.

The stool was at neck height.

She can't climb up!

He placed his hands on the bench and looked up at the dining table.

...Wow, that's so high.

Looking at Lin Yu next to her, who was a bit taller than her, she saw that Lin Yu had already climbed up silently. Although it was a bit difficult for him, he managed to sit down.

Hang Suisui: [I was completely outmatched by a kid.]

001 comforted her: "You're injured, it's normal that you can't climb up."

She glanced at her arm wrapped in white gauze; she no longer felt any pain.

Chen Xinyi, who had just finished setting out the dishes, saw Hang Suisui with her hands on the stool, looking conflicted, and burst out laughing.

This little girl is so cute.

She went over and lifted Hang Suisui onto the stool.

As soon as they sat down at the table, Old Chen placed the freshly served rice in front of Hang Suisui and Lin Yu.

"Haha, are you hungry, little girl? Come on, eat."

After seeing Old Chen take his first bite, Hang Suisui began to shovel rice into her mouth!

All three dishes are seasonal vegetables grown in the village.

As Hang Suisui chewed on the vegetable leaf in her mouth, she discovered that since she had turned into ginseng, she had become extremely sensitive to the scent of plants.

This dish is sweet and delicious, with a rich vegetable aroma, and is absolutely all-natural with no additives!

No technology or ruthless skills!

Lin Yu silently finished his meal. After checking his throat and lungs and confirming that there was nothing seriously wrong, Old Chen told him to drink more water to relieve his throat discomfort.

Lin Yu simply nodded with his eyes downcast, still remaining silent.

Old Chen could only lament to his daughter about the unpredictability of life.

However, they couldn't keep Lin Yu indefinitely. They could only wait for the village chief and village director to come over in the afternoon to discuss how to settle Lin Yu's situation.

The cicadas chirped incessantly in the summer, and the afternoon air was somewhat muggy, though an occasional gentle breeze brought a touch of coolness.

Hang Suisui sat on the threshold under the eaves, her hands supporting her cheeks, her big eyes darting around.

Suddenly, she stood up, quickly stepped over the threshold, and ran to Chen Xinyi, who was lying on a chair next to the medicine cabinet: "Auntie, I'm going out to pick peaches."

Old Chen was taking a nap, and Hang Suisui was speaking very softly.

Chen Xinyi leaned back in her chair, feeling a little drowsy, and said in a soft voice, "It's hot outside, let's go when it's cooler."

She was worried that the little girl would run out and get sunburned. Looking at her fair and tender skin, she could tell that she had never been exposed to the sun, unlike the children in the village who could run all over the village under the scorching sun.

Hang Suisui knew that Chen Xinyi was worried about her, so she chuckled and said that she wouldn't run around: "Don't worry, Auntie, I'll come back as soon as I pick the peaches, they won't be in the sun."

When the child wanted to go out to play, Chen Xinyi didn't stop him anymore, only telling him to stay in the shade and not to run too far.

As soon as Hang Suisui lifted the curtain, she saw Lin Yu sitting on the bed with his head hanging down, lost in thought.

She stepped forward and grabbed Lin Yu's wrist: "Come with me."

Hearing that soft voice, Lin Yu raised his eyelids, glanced at Hang Suisui, and then lowered his eyelids again, letting Hang Suisui pull his wrist off the bed.
