Chapter 114 Drunken Dream

In spring, the bamboo grove is full of life, with bamboo leaves of varying shades.

The sunset glow filtered through the dense bamboo leaves, casting dappled red and yellow light.

Emerald green, deep green and tender green intertwine, swaying gently in the breeze and making a rustling sound.

Hang Suisui carefully walked into the bamboo forest, where new bamboo shoots were growing everywhere, close to the bamboo.

The only sound underfoot was the crunching of bamboo leaves.

Looking around, I didn't find anything unusual.

After glancing behind her to make sure no one was there, Hang Suisui quickly flipped her hands to form a hand seal, creating the "Wind Stops in the Forest" seal.

The bamboo grove seemed frozen in place, remaining silent for a moment before trembling slightly. Then, the gentle breeze returned to normal.

Hang Suisui looked at the small bamboo grove that seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see.

No.

There's not a soul living here, not even a ghost in sight.

The little squirrel couldn't possibly lie to her.

Bamboo and other shady things can conceal ghostly energy and evil spirits.

Perhaps something with a yin energy lived here before.

Hang Suisui walked out of the bamboo forest and turned her head to see a peach tree with lush branches and leaves not far away.

Upon closer inspection.

The layout of this garden is surprisingly sophisticated.

In Feng Shui, bamboo is believed to both ward off evil spirits and attract ghosts, depending on how it is used.

Bamboo shade and peach blossoms in the sun, a perfect balance.

There are not many bamboo trees, but one peach tree.

Hang Suisui pondered this carefully in her heart, and her brows furrowed.

This seems to be a situation where ghosts are raised but not harmed.

What is Yin Huaizhu raising ghosts for?

This layout easily appears to be just a normal arrangement of yin and yang in harmony, done unintentionally.

If the little squirrel hadn't told her those things, Hang Suisui would have just thought it was a normal feng shui arrangement.

They don't even think about it deeply.

Hang Suisui squatted under the peach tree, looked around but did not find anything else unusual.

She looked up and saw the side balcony of the house. Through Yin Huaizhu's open window, she could see several figures talking inside.

Hang Suisui patted the thick trunk of the peach tree and sat down.

The lawn under the peach trees is well-maintained, looking like a green velvet carpet, giving people a comfortable and pleasant feeling.

As Hang Suisui leaned back against the tree, she was greeted by a faint scent of fresh grass.

This made her feel as if she were still a ginseng plant, nestled in the embrace of nature.

The fresh scent mingled with the fragrance of peach blossoms instantly lifted Hang Suisui's spirits.

The sunset glow on the horizon illuminates the earth at dusk.

Her snow-white cheeks were tinged with a warm yellow hue.

As dusk approaches, a sense of drowsiness inevitably sets in.

Just as he was about to leave, a soft sigh stopped him in his tracks.

"The road of life is narrow, but the wine cup is wide; fellow Daoist, please wait a moment."

The sound came from around the peach tree.

Hang Suisui stopped and turned to gaze at the peach tree, its branches swaying in the wind as if beckoning to her.

"Since we are fellow cultivators, why do you call for help but not show yourself?"

Hang Suisui had just finished speaking.

In an instant, a refreshing floral fragrance wafted over on the breeze.

A man in blue robes slowly emerged from behind the peach tree.

The man had a handsome face, a composed demeanor, and eyes like stars.

If this were ancient times, he would be considered a handsome young man.

The man smiled and walked towards Hang Suisui, cupping his hands in greeting, "I am Jin Chen, greetings to this fellow Daoist."

Hang Suisui returned the greeting calmly: "Nice to meet you."

Jin Chen nodded, smiled at Hang Suisui, gestured for her to enter, and then a long-lost look flashed in his eyes.

"please."

Hang Suisui looked in the direction Jin Chen had placed his hand, puzzled.

The once orderly garden was now completely empty.

There was only a rectangular solid wood table on the ground, with two cups and a pot of wine on it.

Hang Suisui sat down with Jinchen.

When she reached for the glass, her fingers were white and slender, and she noticed them as she picked it up.

It miraculously reverted to its original form without anyone noticing.

Jin Chen smiled and said, "I have invited you here without prior notice, so please don't take offense."

He raised his glass to clink with Hang Suisui's, gestured for her to drink, and then downed it in one gulp.

The wine in the glass was fragrant, with a sweet floral scent.

After the wine glass was emptied, Hang Suisui realized that the wine tasted exactly the same as the peach blossom wine that Yin Huaizhu had asked her to dig out from under the peach tree.

The smell of alcohol was just stronger.

After seeing Hang Suisui finish her drink, Jin Chen smiled and asked, "What were you looking for when you were forming hand seals in the bamboo forest just now?"

What are you looking for?

Hang Suisui thought for a moment and said, "Was anyone living in this bamboo forest before?"

Jin Chen smiled upon hearing this and filled both of their glasses with wine.

The two men clinked their glasses together, and the glasses were emptied again.

Hang Sui Sui looked at the empty cup.

This wine is really delicious; it seems the person who brewed it has some skill.

Jin Chen smiled and filled his glass, but did not answer Hang Suisui's question about whether it was true or not, only saying one sentence.

"Fellow Daoist, there is no need to worry."

The two drank back and forth, one glass after another, seemingly oblivious to the fact that they were drunk.

Jin Chen seemed to understand Hang Sui Sui's concerns: "The layout of this courtyard was arranged by Mr. Yin himself. The intricacies of it are beyond my comprehension."

Hang Suisui was somewhat surprised; she suddenly remembered something.

"Yin Huaizhu?"

A blush rose on her face, spreading rapidly like a tide from her cheeks all the way to her ears.
