When I opened my eyes, it was pitch black.
The damp, narrow surroundings, the strange yet somewhat familiar feeling, made Hang Suisui's mind race.
She moved her body and touched the cold porcelain wall.
The tender white roots, which had been groping around at the bottom of the bottle, suddenly froze.
It's been so long!
For a fleeting moment, Hang Suisui felt a sense of disorientation, wondering if 001 had returned. But her mind cleared, and it was clear that it wasn't.
Hang Suisui tried her best to move her body. Having been human for so long, she had almost forgotten how a demon could transform into human form.
After trying for a long time, I only managed to transfer my five senses to the flowers and leaves.
The flowers and leaves trembled, and suddenly the scene became bright, revealing the lotus lanterns, incense, and offerings on the altar right before my eyes.
This was the first time she had ever looked down from this perspective; she was right at the feet of the statue.
Hang Suisui struggled to pull herself out of the ceramic flowerpot, and something rustled as if it was about to fall from the flowers above her head.
Hang Suisui rolled onto the ground with a thud and transformed into human form.
Before she could even get up, she was startled into stillness by a series of cries.
"Waaaaah~ Waaaaah~~"
"Awaaaaaahh ...
"Waaaaah hum um wah————"
"Eeya~ Hahaha, Waa ...
…………
...
The flowers on their heads bore seeds that fell to the ground and transformed into naked babies, who lay on the ground waving their arms and legs and wailing loudly.
This is a spectacular transformation.
Hang Suisui was dumbfounded.
Yin Huaizhu, who had just stepped across the threshold, was dumbfounded.
Hang Suisui sat on the ground and hurriedly picked up one of the children next to her, while the crying continued. She then picked up another child and placed it on her lap.
"No, don't cry, please don't cry."
Another one crawled toward her, and she quickly hugged it to her arms.
Looking up, I saw eight more lying on the ground; I couldn't possibly carry them all.
Hang Suisui, with a bitter face, had no time to think about the yield of ginseng seeds.
"Sui Sui?" Yin Huaizhu strode in and picked up a naked baby who was standing near her feet. "What's going on? Where did all these children come from?"
Hang Suisui, holding three children, looked up in a flustered manner, her face contorted with distress: "If you ask me, I gave birth to them... would you believe me?"
Yin Huaizhu stared wide-eyed in disbelief.
Thinking he'd misheard: "What?"
A fair-skinned little child crawled to his feet and babbled.
Hang Suisui closed her eyes and took a deep breath: "I gave birth to her."
Yin Huaizhu was stunned, and blurted out, "Whose, whose?"
Hang Suisui hissed, "What was mine is now yours."
A moment of silence.
The wailing inside the main hall sounded like hundreds of ducks quacking at the same time, sending chills down one's spine.
The two of them hurriedly rummaged around and carried all eleven children into the room.
Seeing that there wasn't enough room for all the children on the bed, and that each person was holding two more, Hang Suisui's face scrunched up in a frown.
"What should we do?"
They hadn't planned to have children, but they were caught off guard by a bunch of kids. Yin Huaizhu didn't want Hang Suisui to be involved in any risks, not even childbirth.
Yin Huaizhu had never heard of ginseng seeds transforming into human form upon landing.
"Let me ask."
Yin Huaizhu flipped his palm, and a golden light flashed: "Jinqian".
The next instant, a figure appeared in the room.
As soon as Jinqian appeared, she was startled by the appearance of the two people and the child on the bed.
"Wow, it's only been a short time since we last met, and you two have already had so many kids???"
Hang Suisui gave an embarrassed smile and said, "I just gave birth a little while ago."
Yunqian glanced around and sensed the scent of plants filling the room. She pointed to the child in their arms and said, "You've laid seeds."
This analogy of giving birth made Hang Suisui's cheeks twitch, but she had no words to refute it.
Yin Huaizhu turned his head to avoid the child's small hand that was about to be stuffed into his mouth: "Do you know what's going on?"
Hang Suisui pressed on, "How come I ended up back inside the ginseng on the altar when I woke up from my nap?"
As an incarnation of the Purple Bamboo, it has lived for a very long time and naturally knows more about spirits and monsters.
"On the offering table?" After thinking for a moment, Jinzhen asked, "You put the ginseng next to the statue?"
Hang Sui Sui nodded.
This thousand-year-old ginseng is such a treasure; it's the most valuable thing in her Taoist temple, so of course it deserves to be placed in a good spot.
After a moment's thought, Yunqian understood the reason: "This ginseng was not supposed to take human form, but you took it by mistake and it became tainted by your human energy. You then placed it next to the statue of a deity, where it was worshipped every day and also received incense from the Three Pure Ones."
"My spiritual power has greatly increased. I have become familiar with your aura and recognized you. I have then merged you with the ginseng. If nothing unexpected happens, you are now both a human and a ginseng."
Hang Suisui and Yin Huaizhu exchanged a glance, both looking surprised.
Is he a person or a ginseng?
That truly lives up to its name as ginseng...
Looking at the group of children, Yunqian said, "Another thing is that when the ginseng seeds mature, you let them flower and bear fruit, and they will unconsciously look for you."
"They will take human form at birth because you have ginseng and possess the characteristics of both ginseng and you as a human."
Yunqian paused, then looked at Yin Huaizhu, who was patting the child's back: "Yours too."
Yin Huaizhu looked up in surprise: "Mine?"
“Yes.” Yunqian nodded: “You ate her ginseng roots before, and later she gave you her spiritual power and demonic power. Your body is already half human and half demon now.”
Yin Qian silently thought that this was probably the longest-serving person in the future of the Zhenling Division. Even though he was over thirty, his appearance had not changed at all and he looked the same as when he was in his twenties.
