62. Chapter 62 The Setting Sun

Chapter 62 The Setting Sun

Zong Fang carried the person who had collapsed in his arms into the bathtub, washed her clean and dried her hair. Qiao Susu fell into a deep sleep during the whole process. She must have been exhausted.

One cannot feel the flow of time in the space. So Zongfang placed a series of her favorite furniture and ornaments, including carpets, curtains, dressing tables, sofas, etc. in the originally empty room, turning it into a real warm home.

When Qiao Susu opened her eyes again, she saw the European-style gauze curtains above the bed and thought she had moved to another place.

"What time is it?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.

"It's time to eat." Zongfang carried her to the dining table, and Sui Sui sat on his lap like a doll.

He watched her eat more than half of the food on her plate before picking up the cutlery and quickly cleaning up her leftovers.

After dinner, the two of them left the house and took a walk along the river. The sky, which was usually clear and sunny, was now bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun.

The entire sky turned into a blend of pink, purple and warm orange. The sunset glow and the setting sun were scattered on the earth, and the river water was shining with sunlight.

Qiao Suisui was a little stunned, looking up at the sky, the entire sky reflected in her black pupils. Zong Fang just looked at her, thinking that this was the most beautiful scenery.

He held her hand and walked slowly along the river bank. The two of them seemed like real partners, digesting their food after a meal, leisurely and free of worries.

"Munakata, come out with me."

The man who had been smiling all the time frowned coldly after hearing her words. Zong Fang lowered his eyes and said nothing, interlocking his fingers with hers.

Qiao Sui Sui withdrew her gaze from the setting sun and looked at the person beside her. She pursed her lips nervously, because the next words she decided to say were what she had finally mustered up the courage to say.

"I know we had some rough times before, but that's all in the past. Do you want to come back to reality with me?"

This sentence is actually asking, do you want to live with me?

Zong Fang looked into her eyes, the sincerity and earnestness in them were exactly the same as every time she lied to him before. He felt his heart tighten, thinking that she was trying to get rid of him again.

"Do you want to go back because of Libery or Scorsese? Or both?"

Qiao Suisui didn't expect him to respond like that. She was a little disappointed, but she still expressed her thoughts sincerely: "Neither. Because the sun never sets here."

Zongfang didn't understand what was wrong with this. She loved watching the sunset, and he could freeze it here forever, letting her see it every day. This space was the safest place, where he could give her everything she wanted. Most importantly, there was no one else here, not those damned males, just them. Sui Sui belonged only to him.

"You want the sun to set, I can do that"

"No."

Qiao Suisui lowered her head, unsure how to make him understand that what she wanted was to create her own life, not live in the illusions and greenhouse created by others. The two had actually mentioned this topic before, but it was clear they couldn't reach an agreement. Zong Fang's love was too overbearing, like a net. She couldn't deny that she was indeed moved by his ardent love, but the temperature of this love could easily burn her.

She was timid and cautious, her upbringing conditioned her to read people's expressions and always try to please them. Coming into this world, she initially struggled to adapt, but gradually came to terms with it. Perhaps, in this absurd world, where no one understood her, she could live for herself? Perhaps she could create her own life.

Luka is gentle and reliable, someone she doesn't want to let down; Liberi is considerate but also sharp-minded, someone she doesn't want to make an enemy of; Lan Ze, the only one she feels comfortable with, is now missing; looking back at the males around her, Qiao Sui Sui feels that she doesn't want to rely on any of them, except Zong Fang, who always makes her afraid and worried, but she also has a contradictory feeling of wanting to rely on him. It's just that he is too uncontrollable.

She didn't know when he would go crazy and kill someone, or when she didn't obey him, she might get hurt.

Thinking of this, Qiao Susu's newly mustered courage became a little uneasy, but she still pinched the edge of her skirt, took a deep breath, and tried to find a balance between the two of them.

"Mongfang, can you please not lock me up in the future? Even if something makes you unhappy, can you try to communicate with me and solve it? I will listen to your ideas carefully."

The man frowned as he listened to this, focusing on the 'unhappy things'.

The only things that could make him unhappy were those two annoying males. Did she mean to live in harmony with them? Haha.

Munakata raised an eyebrow, took a deep breath, and suppressed his anger. The thought of sharing her with someone else, of someone else taking away her attention, made his blood boil. When he saw the nine cubs on the flying ship, he wanted to strangle them to death, but thinking of how hard her pregnancy had been, and how half of these cubs' blood came from her, he ultimately couldn't bring himself to do it.

He is powerful enough to have a spouse on his own, and the rules of the Federation are nothing to him.

Qiao Suisui waited anxiously for his answer, but saw the man pressed his brows, suppressing his emotions so as not to scare her, then took her hand and walked back. "It's getting dark, let's go home."

Qiao Susu felt her heart sink at his evasive attitude, and she immediately lost the desire to communicate, so she let him hold her hand without saying a word.

Outside of space.

The atmosphere in the two-story building was tense.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Luka pushed Libery hard. "Did I tell you that Zongfang was cunning? Did I tell you not to leave her? Ash Libery, where's your brain?"

Liberi lowered his head, clenched his fists, and stood stiff. His guards saw Luka's disrespect and drew their swords against him.

Sang Yan and the other two were also in the living room, their faces solemn. Sang Yan had been in the room at the time, but he hadn't noticed the male's mental power at all. He blamed himself for this, thinking that if he had gone out to check, he might have been able to prevent her from being taken away.

Gai Meilun didn't want to waste time here. He was about to go out to find Qiao Suisui, but was stopped by Ayao. The two of them whispered.

"What are you doing? I need to help."

"The little female suddenly disappeared from the room. You didn't even know where to look for her or how to look for her. What were you doing there?"

"Then, then don't worry about it?" Gai Meilun pulled Sang Yan and said, "Brother Yan, what should we do? Think of a plan."

Sang Yan's dark pupils were remarkably calm; only his slightly trembling fingertips betrayed his anxiety and worry. He looked calmly at A Yao and Gai Meilun and whispered, "Do you still remember that orc on the desolate planet whose talent was to break through?"

Gai Meilun suddenly realized, "You mean the one who was seriously injured and fell on the roadside?"
