Chapter 24 Thank you for your special invitation
Zong Fang's expression faded a little, he raised his eyelids and asked, "Do you want to go?"
"This way you won't have to go to the military and suffer so much trouble."
Zongfang's expression eased a little, but he still didn't want her to have direct contact with Luka, so he didn't respond.

He hugged her and watched Sui Sui playing with his silver hair and snuggling in his arms, so obedient and lovable, and an unreal sense of happiness rose in his heart.
"Qiao Qiao." He looked down at her with a serious expression: "Will you let me be your spouse?"
She was startled by the tenderness in Zongfang's eyes, and then she thought that he was a very possessive and controlling person, and he would definitely not accept sharing his mate with other males, so she said: "Zongfang, I want you to be my only mate."
Zong Fang's eyes were red, and he immediately lowered them to hide his feelings, but his slightly trembling hands betrayed his current mood. He held her tightly in his arms, as if wanting Qiao Sui Sui to merge into his bones and blood, become one with him.
"Okay. I will never betray you, Qiao Qiao."
Qiao Suisui rested her chin on his broad shoulders, her face cold and silent, and then she said in a sweet voice, "Yeah, me too."

Luka's face was reflected in the palace-style floor-length mirror. He was wearing a slim-cut top with a prominent waist design that accentuated his already superior proportions. With long legs, a narrow waist and broad shoulders, he looked like a walking clothes rack.
Ans was also shocked when he came in. Military uniforms are always straight and tough, which matches the colonel's handsome temperament very well, but he didn't expect that he could be so dashing in such a gorgeous and exaggerated court dress.
"Is it arranged?"
Hearing Luka's question, Ans came back to his senses and said seriously: "Yes, everyone is in place. As soon as Zongfang appears, we will capture him."
Luka nodded and adjusted his cuffs. His profile reflected in the mirror had sharp lines and a stern expression.
"Remember, whether Sui Sui appears or not, the ceremony cannot proceed."
"Yes. Colonel, do I need to inform His Highness Libery?"
On the day he requested the ceremony be moved up, he had Ans begin preparations, firstly to retrieve Sui Sui, and secondly to bring people to ruin his own marriage ceremony. Luka looked down at the garden. Many nobles had already gathered in the venue. Liberi, dressed in a white, stand-up-collared suit, was smiling and toasting to the occasion.
"No need. He must have made some plans, but he won't tell me."
Luka was well aware that Liberi was using him. He was willing to be used just for Su Su, but that didn't mean he would obediently marry the princess, giving Liberi the chance to have Su Su all to himself.
Something was quietly changing between these two former friends.
Qiao Suisui was unaware of these arrangements; she didn't even know how she got here. She opened her eyes to find herself in a richly decorated palace. Seeing the needle marks on her arm, she understood. Although she'd coaxed him into bringing her yesterday, Zongfang's suspicion was ingrained in him. He probably gave her a sleeping potion, fearing she'd remember the way and run away.
But he didn't expect that Qiao Sui Sui had no intention of escaping. As long as she entered the imperial court, she could use Liberi to suppress Zong Fang. No matter how good he was at fighting, a strong dragon could not defeat a local snake.
Sure enough, Libery arrived soon.
"Sui Sui!"
"Ash, how did you find me?"
"Evan's beast form is a bat, and his gift is echolocation, but it's limited in range, which is why I asked you to come to the Imperial Court. I asked Evan to hold off Munakata, and the flying ship is waiting outside. Let's go."
Liberi took her hand and was about to leave, but found that Qiao Susu did not respond.
"Sui Sui, what's wrong?"
"Leave? Where to?"
Liberi squatted in front of her, his eyes smiling, and said, "I plan to give up everything in the royal family and go with you to a place where no one can find us. Don't worry, I have arranged everything. When you give birth to the child, we will raise it together."
She looked into Liberi's hopeful eyes and frowned slightly. "Mongakata won't let me go, and running away isn't an option. Since this is the Imperial Court, you can just capture him."
Libery's smile froze, and he looked into her inky black eyes and said, "Although I am a member of the royal family, I don't have any real power, so I can't mobilize people at will." After he finished speaking, he saw that her expression turned cold, and his hands unconsciously clenched into fists.
"Sui Sui, don't you want to come with me?"
She nodded, not hiding the disappointment in her eyes.
Seeing her reaction, Libery felt as if an invisible hand was strangling his throat. He licked his lips and said with difficulty, "Is it because of Scorsese?"
"no."
Her answer was quick and firm, giving Libery another glimmer of hope.
“That’s why.”
"What I want is a stable and safe life. Ash, thank you so much, but I don't want to live a life of hiding from others, and I shouldn't have to live that kind of life."
Her tone was calm and her voice was soft, but Libery felt as if her words had a thousand-pound force, brushing him away.
She meant that he wasn't strong enough to protect her.
He didn't know that a great change had taken place in Sui Sui's heart. Because she was locked up by Zong Fang, everything needed his approval, and she lived a life of dependence on others. She felt like she was back in the suffocating family she used to be in, carefully trying to please her family and living under someone else's roof.
She was fed up with this kind of life.
Since everything is in the game, why can't she take control of her own life?
She didn't want to be the weak one who always needed to be rescued.
After saying this, Qiao Sui Sui stood up and passed by Liberi.
Liberi, who had been squatting there with his head lowered, now had his eyes wide open, his handsome face twisted, and a strong sense of unwillingness made him tremble all over.
After leaving the room, Qiao Susu came to the garden with her belly in her arms. Applause and cheers came from not far ahead, suggesting a ceremony was probably taking place.
She sighed and made a decision.
She didn't want to ruin Luka's happiness, but the path to Liberi was blocked, and Luka was her only option. She hoped that he would help her deal with Zongfang for the sake of the cubs.
Just as she walked into the venue, she heard a loud "boom" and the entire earth shook with the huge explosion.
Qiao Suisui lost her balance and fell heavily to the ground. Suddenly, she felt a "whoosh" and her lower body loosened.
Oops, my water broke.
