Chapter 14: The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind
"Luka?"
"Luka, wake up."
Her hands trembled as she gently stroked the lion's back. The fur was a little stiff, but it had a glossy luster. Her voice was filled with obvious anxiety as she kept calling Luka's name.
At this moment, everyone gathered around. Evan immediately called Liberi, and the Federation urgently summoned the medical team on the airship. They hurried straight to Qiao Suisui, each face filled with tension and worry.
Qiao Suisui's eyes were filled with urgency. She clung to the doctor's shirt tightly, her voice choked with sobs as she emphasized that she was fine and just hoped they could quickly rescue the unresponsive Luka. Her fingers were clenched so tightly that her nails almost dug into her palms, as if only this could release the anxiety in her heart.
The doctors quickly began working, their movements swift and professional, but Qiao Suisui's eyes never left Luka. Her heart was pounding like thunder, as if she could hear every pulse beat, and every second of waiting seemed so long.
On the flying ship, a man stood in front of the French window, quietly watching the chaotic scene below. From the moment the flying ship landed, his eyes had been glued to Qiao Suisui, his eyes full of crazy obsession.
The man was tall and slender, his muscles radiating strength. His doctor's uniform was a bit suggestive. Behind his thin-rimmed silver glasses, he had a pair of almond-shaped eyes, making his features indistinguishable from male and female. Add to that his silver hair, casually tied up low, and the simplest word to describe him was: alluring. Yet, his every move was devoid of any femininity; instead, he was remarkably decisive and swift.
"Bring me the special sleeping potion I prepared this time."
"Dr. Munakata, here."
The assistant pressed a button on the silver lockbox, and the lid slowly opened, revealing ten neatly arranged transparent test tubes. Each contained a strangely shaped ladybug, its shell gleaming with a mysterious light.
Zongfang skillfully put on the white gloves, which instantly fit tightly against his skin, as if fused with his hands. He gently picked up a test tube and opened the lid. A faint energy wave emanated from the test tube.
He concentrated, unleashing a powerful mental force to establish a connection with the ladybug. The ladybug's wings suddenly spread, gleaming with a strange light, as bright as the stars in the universe. It flew towards Qiao Suisui at an astonishing speed, like a shooting star streaking across the night sky.
At this time, below the flying ship.
"The vital signs are unstable, rescue is necessary as soon as possible!"
Evan said anxiously: "There is a medical cabin inside, please follow me!"
The medical team worked together to lift the massive lion onto a stretcher. Sui Sui clutched the hem of her skirt anxiously, her palms sweating. She had never imagined Luka would go to such lengths to save her. She gave up her seat to avoid being in the way, following the stretcher inside. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck.
She opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, her body went limp and she fell into someone's arms.
Zong Fang carefully placed Qiao Sui Sui into the observation cabin and examined her carefully from head to toe. Every strand of her hair, every inch of her skin, the color of her nails, the shape of her facial features, all captivated him.
“Real humans are real humans”
"What a nice view."
The gloved fingertips slid down her forehead, to her brow bone, nose bridge, lingered on her pink lips for a long time, and then moved to her collarbone and heart.
His fingertips trembled slightly and his eyes were full of excitement.
"From now on, monitor her 24 hours a day."
The assistant received the instructions and started working on the operating table.
As Qiao Susu fell asleep, she didn't know that her nightmare had begun.
Inside the room, the lion in the medical cabin was connected to various instruments. Libery stood aside in silence with a stern expression.
Isabel was standing by the medical cabin, and Evan stood behind her, trying to persuade her softly.
"Your Highness, you have been guarding the Master for a whole day and night. Please take care of yourself."
Isabel stared into the cabin, motionless.
"Evan, do you think Luka will..."
As she spoke, her eyes reddened. Evan immediately handed her a handkerchief and whispered, "No, the master has returned from such conditions on the battlefield. He will definitely be fine this time. Please don't worry too much."
She wiped away her tears, turned around and ordered, "Cousin, give some of your healing power to Luka."
Hearing her request, Liberi sneered.
He rushed here as soon as he received the news and has already used up a lot of mental energy to heal Scorsese. His internal injuries are healing, it just takes time. There is no need to input mental energy into him. Although it can indeed make him heal faster, it will also cause damage to Liberi himself and enter a period of mental weakness.
He smiled nonchalantly, raised his eyebrows and asked, "Why?"
Isabel opened her eyes wide and said angrily, "Why? The three of us grew up together. Do we have to watch him remain unconscious?"
"The three of us grew up together, why don't you give him your spiritual power?"
"I'm not a healer!"
Moreover, she was an artificial female, her mental strength was very low, not enough to do anything. Liberi knew all this and still said this, clearly mocking her, how annoying.
Isabel couldn't communicate with him. It had been like this since she was a child. Liberi never gave in to her at all. So when she heard that one of her spouses had Liberi's name, she turned the entire royal court upside down.
"Since you don't have this talent, shut up. I have the final say on my talent."
Libery turned and left, not wanting to stay with her even a moment longer.
He had once cherished this cousin. To ensure the purity of their bloodline, the royal family deliberately allowed them to cultivate a relationship. Although he knew he had no romantic feelings for Isabel, he had considered their future together because of their friendship growing up together. However, this pampered and lawless female often disregarded others and committed a series of foolish actions, which eroded the little affection Libery had for her.
So after he knew that his position was replaced by Luka, it was the first time that he did not secretly compare himself with Luka, but instead felt greatly relieved.
After Libery left, Evan came forward to comfort the princess again. His absolute obedience pleased Isabel and made her feel better.
"I heard that Luka got into trouble because he wanted to save that female?" she asked.
Evan nodded, "But don't worry, I've already sent her away for Her Royal Highness the Princess."
"Well done. I can't sleep all night just thinking about a female of unknown origin living in Luka's palace. So what if she's a viviparous female? Is she worthy of competing with me for her?"
Evan smiled flatteringly and said, "How can she be compared with you? Princess, you promised that after the matter was completed, you would help me get my sister out of that place."
Isabel didn't care.
"Why are you in such a hurry? Even though she's been taken away now, it's inevitable that something will happen again. Evan, you need to help me. Is there any way to make it impossible for her and Luka to be together again?"
Impatience flashed in Evan's eyes, but then quickly disappeared. He thought for a moment, then whispered something into Isabel's ear.
After she finished speaking, Isabel opened the feather fan with a swish, half covering her smiling face.
