Chapter 21: Arrogance

The moment their lips touched, Lan You's pupils suddenly widened, his eyes filled with shock, and his hands, which were controlled by him, kept struggling.

The moment Mo Junyao kissed her impulsively, his mouth felt so sweet. He couldn't help but bite her lips, and the smell of blood spread in their mouths.

The smell of blood slowly brought him back to his senses, and he stopped kissing her. She pushed him away with all her strength, then quickly slapped him in the face, unable to help but curse, "Asshole."

She ran away from him. Mo Junyao stood there, stroking his lips with his slender fingers, as if savoring the moment. The confused and infatuated look in his eyes gradually regained its depth.

He realized what he had just done and slammed the door shut, making the entire floor tremble with the noise.

Lan You ran into his house, leaned against the door, and slowly calmed his anxious breathing.

Feeling his residual warmth in her mouth, she gritted her teeth and cursed, "Asshole, asshole, little asshole."

The first kiss she had been waiting for for 26 years was taken away by a little brat.

No matter how she thought about it, she felt unhappy. The anger in her body was like a balloon that was being inflated, growing bigger and bigger until it could no longer bear the pressure and exploded.

Slowly, she calmed down. This was not her body, and it was not her first kiss. And now it seemed that Mo Junyao could kiss her, so it seemed that conquering him was just around the corner. She was one step closer to returning home.

Thinking of this, she felt a little relieved.

She turned on the light, stood in front of the mirror, looked at the wound on her mouth that he had bitten, and cursed angrily, "He kissed her, but he bit her. Is this guy a pervert?"

Looking at his wet and messy hair, he picked up the hair dryer and started to blow it dry.

She had originally intended to lie and say that she had forgotten to pay the electricity bill and there was a sudden power outage so she couldn't blow dry her hair and wanted to borrow his hair dryer to hang around in front of him, but she didn't expect things to turn out like this.

She quickly blew her hair dry and went to bed.

The next day, the two of them were in perfect harmony and bumped into each other when they went out. They looked at each other and the air was filled with invisible smoke of gunpowder.

Lan You still resented his behavior last night and didn't want to pay attention to him. He turned his head back indifferently and jogged to the elevator as if he didn't see him.

She trotted and got to the elevator first. The elevator arrived just in time, and she hurried in. Looking at Mo Junyao standing at the elevator door, she said to him arrogantly, "You... take the next one."

After she finished speaking, her fingers frantically pressed the door closing button. The elevator door closed, and her smug expression could be vaguely seen.

Mo Junyao's eyes darkened for a moment, and he had to wait for the next trip.

Lan You arrived at school in a very good mood.

Not long after, the class bell rang suddenly, and her eyes subconsciously fell on the empty seat next to her.

He hasn't come yet?

Her slightly furrowed brows relaxed. It would be best if he didn't come, otherwise when she saw him she would be reminded of last night's scene and the wound on her mouth.

She attended two classes, and during the break, An Yuexi came to talk to her, which surprised Lan You a little.

"You come to me so blatantly, aren't you afraid that those people will think we are good friends and bully you?" Lan You asked.

An Yuexi's expression immediately became serious, "Lan You, what do you mean? Didn't we have a good time?"

"Yuexi, that's not what I meant. It's just that many people don't like me and I'm afraid of getting you into trouble." Lan You told the truth.

"I was bullied by them before you transferred here. Besides, they must know what happened between us in the cafeteria. Why should I pretend to be unfamiliar with you? We are allies and... friends, okay?" An Yuexi mustered up the courage to say the word "friend". Although they had only been together for a few days, she knew that Lan You was different from those who bullied her.

Lan You raised the corner of his mouth, "Okay."

An Yuexi was slightly touched, and the feeling of loneliness and coldness was gradually dispelled by this ray of warmth.

"Lan You, why is your mouth injured?" An Yuexi suddenly saw.

Lan You touched it with a guilty conscience and said perfunctorily, "Uh, I was accidentally bitten by a pug when I got home yesterday."

He looked smiling, but was actually feeling irritated.

But when she called Mo Junyao that ugly lapdog, she felt much better instantly.

An Yuexi's eyes showed fear, and she said worriedly, "Why are you so careless? Have you gotten a rabies shot? Did you... kiss a dog...?"

An Yuexi really couldn't imagine the scene of Lan You being bitten on the mouth by a dog.

Kissing…a…dog?

Lan You suddenly frowned, looking disgusted. Was she hurting herself by eight hundred while hurting the enemy by a thousand?

She could only smile and say, "Yuexi, I was just kidding you. I accidentally fell yesterday and hit my mouth."

An Yuexi gradually calmed down and said, "I'm glad it wasn't a dog bite."

Lan You attended classes all day but didn't see Mo Junyao.

When she walked out of the elevator and stood outside her door, she subconsciously glanced at the house where Mo Junyao lived, then she took out her key, opened the door and walked in.

She hadn't been sitting on the sofa for long when she suddenly thought of something. She stood up abruptly and went to the balcony, her eyes falling on the dark room next door.

Is he asleep or... Mo Junyao hasn't come back yet?

Could it be that he has moved away?

Lan You frowned and thought deeply for a moment, then suddenly picked up the key on the table and went out again. He came to the house rented by Mo Junyao, put his ear close to the door, trying to hear something.

But she didn't hear any movement for a long time. She hesitated for a moment and was about to ring the doorbell when a sharp voice suddenly came from behind her, "What are you doing sneaking around in front of my door?"

Lan You heaved a sigh of relief when he heard the familiar voice. He turned around and said leisurely, "The teacher said you were my deskmate. I saw that you hadn't been to school all day, so I asked if something happened to you."

Mo Junyao's eyes were deep, and he smiled sarcastically, "I asked my homeroom teacher for a day off."

Lan You's lies were instantly exposed. A trace of panic flashed across her eyes, but she was thinking to herself, isn't Mo Junyao always late for class? Why is he suddenly so well-behaved and even asking for leave?

Her face gradually regained its composure, and her calm expression didn't look like the expression of someone who had just had their lie exposed.

Lan You walked towards him, revealing a hint of shyness. "Mo Junyao, you really don't understand romance. You see through it but don't say it. I just want to... want to care about you."

She didn't even believe what she said, and she didn't dare look him in the eye.

Mo Junyao narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at her thoughtfully with a frown on his face. "Are you really a freshman in high school?"
