Chapter 21 Brother, say something
"No." Qin Qinsen refused firmly.
Even if he resigns now and feels good for a while, he will never agree to go back to work.
I will never work again in this life!
"No, think about it again!" Teng An said with a bitter face, "Without you here, I don't even dare to go to the company, for fear that I'll see something I shouldn't see as soon as I walk in."
Without even looking at Teng An, Qin Qinsen refused to communicate with the sticky guy and went straight to the vehicle that had been waiting for a long time on the roadside.
"Brother, please say a few words for me." Chasing Qin Qinsen all the way, Teng An shamelessly squeezed into the back seat.
Originally, Teng Su was sitting in the car waiting for someone, but his silly younger brother immediately ran over to wait after hearing that Qin Qinsen had resigned, and intercepted the person before him.
Teng An was afraid that the car would drive away and leave him behind, so he squeezed in with all his strength. Qin Qinsen was pushed back by him and was directly stuffed into Teng Su's arms.
The scent of wood arrived before the touch, so faint that it could only be detected up close. Before Qin Qinsen could ponder the brand of perfume, the scent so perfectly suited his taste, he felt his chest, cushioned beneath his head, suddenly stiffen. Teng Su raised a hand and pressed it against his vest, trying to create a tiny space between them. It seemed that President Teng was very resistant to contact with outsiders.
"It's useless no matter what anyone says." Qin Qinsen hurriedly stood up and apologized, rolling his eyes in annoyance, "If you keep on talking, I'll let the little devil pester you."
Teng An fell silent immediately. He was quiet for less than three minutes before he began to squirm restlessly as if he had been stung by a bug. He pressed his shoulder against Qin Qinsen and asked, "Where are you going with my brother?"
Not only did no one answer, but they also received strange looks from the two men. Even the driver gave Teng An a bewildered look in the rearview mirror.
Teng Su took out his phone and pressed a few buttons. The next second, a "quack" notification sound came from Teng An's arms. He opened the phone and saw -
Group chat "A loving family":
Da Teng (Tengsu) [1]
Before Teng An could ask again, news about Teng's grandfather popped up.
Old Teng [He's leaving? We just entered the kitchen. Big Teng, quickly ask if anyone has any dietary restrictions, like whether they can eat spicy food or not. Where's Second Teng? He hasn't replied to messages all day, so he's been out fooling around again!? @Second Teng (Teng An)]
The old man was very good at using his cell phone and typed very quickly. He sent more than a dozen messages @Teng An, accompanied by angry emoticons, which made Teng An's scalp tingle.
"Your grandfather, please invite your savior, me, to your house for dinner."
Qin Qinsen smiled, he clearly remembered that when they were in the hospital, the brother on his left said that no one would tell anyone, but he turned around and the big-mouthed brother on his right shook it off completely.
Not wanting to bring up the matter of Qin Qinsen changing jobs, Teng An was worriedly thinking about how to explain to his grandfather that he didn't read the group chat and didn't reply to the message because he was afraid of being chased and beaten by ghosts again, so he came to harass his savior.
Teng An spent the whole journey scratching his head.
After getting off the car, Qin Qinsen discovered that unlike the large villas and manors he had imagined, the Teng family's villa was not too big, but it had a very lively atmosphere. Especially in the yard, there was a vegetable plot enclosed by Grandpa Teng and a small flower garden by Mother Teng, and even the fruit trees planted on the side.
"Does your family also grow papayas?"
Hearing this, Teng Su was stunned for a moment. This papaya...
"Grandpa dug it from the old house and insisted on moving it here. He said that as long as the papaya tree was there, he was still alive and the papaya tree was his lifeblood. He rolled on the ground and insisted on bringing the tree here." Teng An laughed heartily. It was indeed a funny story.
"You idiot boy, I planted this myself when I was in school. You have to treat it like your grandfather, okay?"
The old man stood at the door with his hands on his hips, his face unhappy. He was obviously very dissatisfied with Teng An who had disappeared for a day. He grabbed Teng An's ear and dragged him inside with his feet.
"Excuse me." Teng Su had a slight headache, but the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
Qin Qinsen smiled and walked into the house with Teng Su. "It's rare for a family to have such a legacy and blessings for future generations."
The Teng family is headed by Grandpa Teng and Father Teng. They are busy cooking in the spacious kitchen, waving the pots and shovels. Teng An is huddled in a corner of the kitchen like a quail, following the arrangements of the two chefs.
"Have a seat and treat yourself to your own home. Eat some fruit first, and dinner will be served soon." Mother Teng was over forty, with a plump face and a blessed look. At first glance, Qin Qinsen knew he had made the right choice tonight.
Such a blessed face is much better than those slutty ones out there. He would be lucky to take one more look at her.
Thinking of this, Qin Qinsen's smile became more sincere. He took the exaggeratedly large fruit plate and said, "Hello, Auntie. Let me do it."
"The house is a little messy, don't mind it. Da Teng, ask Xiao An when she's coming back. She's not learning to be nice, and she's disappearing like Er Teng. I've never seen her so out of tune before."
"Auntie, please stop being busy and let's eat some fruit together."
Taking the cantaloupe from Qin Qinsen, Mother Teng said hurriedly, "I haven't even thanked you for saving the second Teng... Teng An. That kid has been a worry since he was little, so jumpy and not steady at all. Thanks to you, otherwise he wouldn't be running around like this now."
It was indeed unstable, and the curses were quite dirty, otherwise how could the evil spirit break through the boundaries in anger, "Just kidding, without me, the second young master would not be in trouble."
Seeing that Mother Teng was about to speak, Qin Qinsen said bluntly, "The Teng family has been doing charity for generations. Our ancestors have saved countless lives by practicing medicine. Naturally, their descendants will enjoy the benefits. Even if I don't take action, the Second Young Master will only suffer minor injuries and need to rest for a few days."
No way.
Glancing at Teng An, who was crouched beside the trash can peeling potatoes, Qin Qinsen mustered all his wits to resist rolling his eyes. Given the ghost's demeanor, no one present had any hope of survival. The truth was so cruel, he couldn't tell Teng's mother directly. He could only offer pleasantries, trying to move on from the incident and never bring it up again.
Teng Su happened to receive a reply from Anxi that he would be home in an hour. He looked up from his phone and saw the little emotion in someone's eyes. He felt amused, but he continued with what Qin Qinsen said, "Er Teng has learned his lesson. He waited for Master Qin to get off work this afternoon, saying that he would thank him in person."
Mother Teng smiled coldly, "Just protect him. Er Teng! Did you go and harass Master Qin this afternoon?"
No one knows a child better than his mother. No matter how they try to avoid the important issues and speak well of Teng An, they cannot escape the loving education from their mother.
As exquisite dishes were brought out of the kitchen, everyone sat around.
The liveliness of the Teng family made Qin Qinsen seem even more reserved.
"Master Qin, please don't bother. Just sit down and treat this place as your own home." Father Teng took off his apron and brought out the last dish of stir-fried shredded lettuce.
Qin Qinsen was helping Teng's mother serve soup. Hearing this, he smiled and said, "Since you want to be your own family, uncle, don't call me master. It sounds like I have to go to work in the next second."
The elders of the Teng family smiled knowingly, and Grandpa Teng was even more cheerful. "Since you are about the same age as Er Teng, we will be generous and call you Xiao Qin."
Just as I sat down, I found an empty seat next to me. "Where's Xiao An? Didn't he say he would be back soon?"
For some reason, Teng Su's eyebrows suddenly jumped and he subconsciously turned his gaze to Teng's mother.
But Qin Qinsen was pinching his fingers rapidly, and his brows were getting tighter and tighter.
