Chapter 90: So corny

Chapter 90: So corny

It was already early morning when the two left the hospital.

Lu Zhi had sharp eyes and had spotted the familiar figure long ago. He was just opening the back door of the car, waiting for the two to arrive.

"Thank you for your hard work. How about we stay overnight?"

With his hand on the car door frame, Teng Su shook his head, "It's too late. I have to be there for the group meeting tomorrow."

"Then why did you come here? I can go back by myself tomorrow."

Qin Qinsen frowned slightly. He wasn't complaining, but rather felt there was no need to come pick him up. Teng Su was always busy, and rest time was scarce. A round trip from Hai City to Xiyuan Ancient Town took at least five hours, leaving Teng Su no time to rest.

"I miss you."

Lu Zhi, who was driving, tactfully raised the tailgate and turned on the car stereo, and melodious music slowly flowed.

Qin Qinsen pinched Teng Su's cheek, and when their eyes met, they both laughed.

"It's so corny."

"Do you miss me?" He stretched out his long arms and brought the person into his arms. Teng Su contentedly embraced his new boyfriend and rubbed his chin gently between his furry black hair.

"I'm so busy, how can I have time to think about you?"

Although he said he disliked her, his body was honest. Qin Qinsen put away the harshness and vigilance he had when facing hungry ghosts, and his body softened as he nestled in Teng Su's arms.

Feeling the movements of the person in his arms, Teng Su relaxed his body, allowing him to lean more comfortably. "Master Qin, thank you for your hard work, catching ghosts and running around. What reward do you want?"

"Reward..." Qin Qinsen savored the unfamiliar word on his tongue for a long time. He simply turned over in Teng Su's arms, lying on his back on his muscular legs.

Reaching out and touching Teng Su's handsome thick eyebrows, he described the man's appearance bit by bit. Qin Qinsen's expression was serious, and the smile that always lingered on the corner of his mouth disappeared without a trace.

The two people who had just confirmed their relationship were separated by an unexpected event and now finally had the opportunity to look at each other quietly.

Qin Qinsen concentrated on depicting the person he liked with his eyes and hands.

This was the person he liked, calm and composed, yet surprisingly caring and gentle. The longer they spent together, the easier it was to overlook their physical attributes. Deep eyes, a high nose, even their lips were perfectly shaped.

Holding the fingers that were constantly rubbing against his lips, Teng Su chuckled softly, "Looks good—hmm."

Of course she looks good, Qin Qinsen thought as he kissed her. This is the person he had carefully selected, and she is definitely the most beautiful one in the world!

"Well, I'm tired."

Qin Qinsen ran away after teasing her. His body, which had been tired after a day of running around, could not bear the difficult posture of lifting his upper body without any support.

Lying on Teng Su's legs, Qin Qinsen rubbed his sore waist and abdomen, and secretly decided to start exercising when he got home.

"Don't be afraid, leave it to me."

What should I give you?

Before Qin Qinsen could think about it, a dark shadow cast its shadow on his face. Teng Su leaned over and invaded his lips and tongue with a domineering attitude, making every inch of him stained with Teng Su's scent.

Compared to Qin Qinsen's movements, Teng Su's were wilder and more aggressive. Qin Qinsen relaxed at the slightest bit of his rudeness, and with his left hand, he passed through Teng Su's slightly coarse hair roots, applying a little force to bring the two closer together.

The light outside the window flickered past, casting shadows of people in alternating light and dark. A soothing cello played beside my ears, the scent of my lover lingered on my nose, and someone let out a sigh through the cracks.

The weak hands began to push away, "Mmm, I'm so tired."

Teng Su pressed down the restless hand on his abdomen, "Tired?"

Blinking his innocent eyes, Qin Qinsen felt the burning sensation in his palms. He could not think of any other way except to play dumb.

God knows, he really can't kiss for half an hour without taking a breath. As an office worker, is Teng Su's energy so high scientific?!

"I won't bother you, just take a nap."

After stroking the watermark on the corner of Qin Qinsen's lips, Teng Su closed his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief.

Unfortunately, it didn't work very well. Qin Qinsen could still feel the heat through the fabric of his suit, which made his face flush, and he couldn't help but want to get closer.

The road conditions were bad, and the car was shaking. Qin Qinsen's reason finally connected with his brain, and he struggled to sit up.

"Rest well, you have a meeting tomorrow."

After saying that, he turned his gaze toward the window. A low laugh reached his ears, and then the pressure on his legs suddenly increased. The person lying on the bed had changed to Teng Su.

"Then I'll have to trouble Master Qin." Although his tone was joking, he still couldn't hide the fatigue on his face.

Qin Qinsen stopped talking after seeing the other person's clasped hands. The music in the car had stopped at some point, leaving only the sound of shallow breathing.

It was already late at night when they returned to Teng Su's apartment in the city center. After washing up casually, they fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes again, Qin Qinsen only remembered Teng Su's good morning kiss and the vague "see you later". Other than that, his mind was blank.

Exercise must be put on the agenda.

Qin Qinsen brushed his teeth while secretly planning. They had the same schedule, and the same level of activity. Teng Su could wake up early for meetings, while he would sleep until noon and still feel dizzy.

Qin Qinsen picked up the white-glazed plum vase that he had thrown on the sofa last night and walked towards Tianquan Temple.

Yang Chong was still the one guarding the gate. Seeing Qin Qinsen, his face lit up with joy. "No wonder the master said that when the magpie calls today, there will be distinguished guests coming to visit. It turned out to be true."

"Master Qin, please come in."

With his steps still brisk, Yang Chong served tea and cakes in a formal manner, "Master Qin, enjoy your meal, the chef will be here soon."

"No rush."

As he was speaking, Su Yuande walked in quickly and said, "Master Qin's matter must take priority. Yang Chong, ask your brothers and sisters to come over."

It wasn't until Yang Chong ran out to call for help that Su Yuande asked, "Master Qin came to visit today. Did he catch the ghost chef again?"

Qin Qinsen was amused. How could there be so many ghost-killing chefs to capture? Su Yuande was not disappointed by the negative answer. He said frankly that Master Qin's visit was an honor to his humble home. Whether he brought ghosts or not was irrelevant.

Qin Qinsen didn't seem annoyed when he saw Su Yuande trying to take advantage of him. Back then, when he was with his father, he looked just like Yang Chong and the others.

Only after Yang Chong and other disciples gathered together did Qin Qinsen take out the white-glazed plum vase sealed with a talisman.

"Today is the day of the hungry ghosts."

"ah?"

Yang Chong was a little disappointed.

He had heard from his master that last time Qin Qinsen caught a ghost-killing chef, so why was it just a small hungry ghost today? Wouldn't that mean he wouldn't be able to see the true form of the ancestor today?

Glancing at the young Taoist priests' expressions, Qin Qinsen naturally understood what they were thinking. He immediately peeled off a corner of the talisman, and a strong, fishy odor quickly spread. Within a few breaths, it had turned Yang Chong, who was closest to him, into a liver-colored mess.

The moment before he spit it out, the talisman was covered again. Qin Qinsen's expression was relaxed, but his words were very serious, "Don't be contemptuous. Don't be blinded by the so-called merits."

Yang Chong was a little unconvinced. Isn't the purpose of practicing ghost catching to accumulate merit and seek blessings? Otherwise, why would they work so hard in the Taoist temple?
