Chapter 94 Saved by the Little Villain (9)
Ruan Lin sat by the bed and watched, unwilling to take her eyes off Ruan Jiaojiao until she heard footsteps outside. Du Qing stood at the door and coughed softly, then she tiptoed out.
"Mom, Jiaojiao is fine here, we plan to go back to town now. If you have anything to say, just let someone pass on the message."
"Yes, we will be back anytime." Wu Le followed.
"Okay, you are tired too, go back and have a good rest."
"What are you talking about, mom? We are a family, there is no such thing as being tired. Okay, we won't say much, we will go back first, and you should take care of yourself." Du Qing said.
Ruan Lin nodded and sent them to the door. She watched them leave before turning back. When she reached the entrance of the yard, she saw several older grandchildren standing at the door where Ruan Jiaojiao was sleeping, peeking inside. She immediately walked up quickly.
"All of you get out of my way. You woke up Jiaojiao. I'll make you pay!"
"Grandma, we're just worried about our sister and wanted to see her." The little fat boy said.
Ruan Lin glared at them unhappily and said, "I've been busy these past two days and I haven't settled accounts with you. What did I tell you last time? Did you forget? I told you not to take your sister to the back mountain, and you took them one by one!"
"Grandma, I won't do that again. Never again." Ruan Chi looked at Ruan Lin seriously and raised his hand to swear. This time he was really scared.
Seeing his eyes red and the other grandsons also looking guilty, Ruan Lin pursed her lips and said nothing more. She pretended to be impatient and yelled at them: "Go away, go and play by yourselves!"
Her eyes fell on Ruan Hao and Ruan Bo, and her face was full of relief: "My eldest and third sons have grown up. I'm thankful for you this time. What do you want to eat in the evening? Grandma will cook it for you and reward you well."
Ruan Lin had been in a daze for the past two days, but she also knew that they had helped a lot. It was they who invited the police to the house. Even if Ruan Jiaojiao was not found in the end, in her eyes, the two grandsons had grown up and become much more stable.
Ruan Hao and Ruan Bo smiled at each other without saying anything. Originally, Du Qing wanted them to go back to the town school in the afternoon, but Ruan Hao was reluctant to let him go, so Ruan Bo stayed behind, planning to go back to school together tomorrow morning.
In the eyes of the Ruan family, this turmoil was finally over.
But in the eyes of Liu Zhaodi, it was not.
In the afternoon, when Du Qing returned to work, he came to the hospital to report to Ruan Jun and Ruan Jiandang, telling them that Ruan Jiaojiao had returned safely. Ruan Jiandang was very excited, and Ruan Jun also showed his first smile in two days.
Only Liu Zhaodi was still frowning.
Because she found that the Ruan family now treated her as a transparent person, Du Qing directly ignored her, and her son and husband didn't say a word to her. She felt miserable.
Ruan Jiandang may have been worried about Ruan Jiaojiao, and he was holding a grudge. Now that he knew Ruan Jiaojiao was back, he let out the grudge. Of course, the wound became inflamed at night, causing a high fever.
When the fever subsided the next day, the doctor came to urge them to pay the hospital bill.
Liu Zhaodi didn't have a penny on her, and she was so anxious that a blister appeared at the corner of her mouth.
Ruan Jun waited for Ruan Jiandang's fever to subside in the morning and then went back to school. Before leaving, he reminded her once to go back to the Liu family to ask for money as soon as possible. Liu Zhaodi agreed, but when the time came, she still couldn't move.
