Extra: Ruan Hao (end of full text)
Ruan Jiaojiao ate and watched TV at the same time, looking very leisurely.
A few hours passed in a flash. Duan
Xu came from the company at around nine o'clock in the evening. The mother and her two children were watching the TV series with great relish and were reluctant to leave. They did not get up until the last episode was over.
The two younger ones changed their shoes by themselves. Ruan Jiaojiao held Duan Xu's shoulders and only needed to stretch out her feet.
After changing their shoes, the two stood at the door waiting for the two younger ones who were still putting on their shoes. Ruan Jiaojiao's eyes were always on Ruan Hao inside the door.
Ruan Jiaojiao did not retract her eyes until the door was closed.
She looked a little depressed all the way down the elevator.
After getting in the car, Duan Xu came over to fasten her seat belt. Seeing that she looked a little upset, he asked softly, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Ruan Jiaojiao shook her head with a complicated expression.
She just
felt a little uncomfortable. When they went out, she saw Ruan Hao standing at the door to see them off. He was the only one standing in the huge house. It was so empty that she felt very uncomfortable.
Maybe the loneliness she felt was a subjective impression she imposed on her brother, but there was no way. She felt really distressed.
All her brothers were married and had their own families. During the holidays, the whole family would go back to the old villa for a lively party, but Ruan Hao was the only one who was alone every time.
He was so good and outstanding.
Thinking about how he was living alone in that house now, and how lonely he would be in the dead of night, she felt so heartbroken, and the more she thought about it, the more it hurt, and her eyes began to turn red.
Duan Xu looked at her for a while, and after a few seconds, he bent down to unbuckle her seat belt.
Ruan Jiaojiao looked over in confusion.
"Let's go up and take him home," Duan Xu said.
Ruan Jiaojiao's eyes lit up, and she hugged Duan Xu's neck and bit him, then got out of the car excitedly.
Ruan Hao, who was upstairs, was sitting in the living room in a daze. The house, which had been bustling just now, suddenly became quiet, and he felt a little uncomfortable.
But even so, when Huang Mimi stood by his calf and circled around him, he had no intention of bending down to pick her up, but just looked at her with a faint look.
It was as if he was looking at something through it, but also as if he was not looking at anything.
Huang Mimi didn't care that she didn't get the attention of her owner. Maybe she was used to it. She meowed once, then walked away silently, wagging her tail, went to her own nest, lay down, stretched out her hind legs and licked it.
Ruan Hao didn't come back to his senses until he heard a dripping sound at the door. It was the sound of the door lock being opened again.
He turned around and saw the family of four coming back without any surprise. He stood up and asked, "Did you forget something?"
The two little guys didn't even change their shoes. They rushed over like firecrackers. One of them hugged his thighs, raised his little head and invited him in unison, "Uncle, let's go home together."
Ruan Hao was a little puzzled and looked at the two people coming from behind.
Ruan Jiaojiao's eyes were red. She walked over to Ruan Hao who was also walking over and said, "Big brother, come home with us, okay?"
After Ruan Jiaojiao gave birth to her child, she usually called him brother directly. She rarely called him big brother, and only called him when she was being coquettish.
Ruan Hao looked at her.
After a few seconds, he smiled, reached out and rubbed her little head, as doting and gentle as always: "Okay, let's go home."
