She let out a soft sigh. She had only attended a few days of needlework classes, and she already felt like she was becoming anemic.

The servant waiting at the door greeted her immediately, bowing respectfully and saying, "Greetings, Miss." He then reached out to take the soup bowl from her hands.

Tianyun spun around to avoid him, glancing at him lightly: "I'll do it myself. Is Father in the study?"

The servant sheepishly withdrew his hand and walked ahead of Tianyun, helping her open the study door: "Master is here."

The wooden door creaked open.

The first thing you see is a painting of a lake and mountains hanging high on the wall. An incense burner is burning on one side of the desk, and a wisp of white smoke rises up, its fragrance calming the mind.

Tianyun walked in quietly.

She lifted the lid of the soup bowl and gently stirred the contents with a silver spoon.

"Dad, take a rest and have a bowl of ginseng soup to warm yourself up."

Master Shangguan shifted his gaze from the official documents and glanced at them briefly. Seeing that it was her, he raised an eyebrow in surprise and said, "A rare guest indeed. Are you short of money? Go to the accounting office and get some yourself."

"What are you saying? Can't you come over and show some respect to your father if there's nothing wrong?" Tianyun pouted unhappily, her eyes feigning sadness, and made a move to take the ginseng soup away.

Master Shangguan hurriedly pressed down on the bowl: "Alright, alright, I misspoke. Put the soup down quickly, I'll drink it, I'll drink it."

Tianyun then smiled again.

Her features were delicate and beautiful, and her smile was like the first melting of snow, which warmed the heart of Master Shangguan. Indeed, daughters are always a comforting and thoughtful companion.
