Chapter 99: A Joint Lie

Seeing that her mother-in-law was not convinced, Meng Ruoxi turned to look at the dog man, her face full of anger and murderous eyes, "You want to lock me up too!"

Shi Yanjin turned his eyes away and said calmly, "I just want you to stay at home like before."

I felt relieved when my mother made the decision that I had been struggling to make.

A wife should stay at home with her husband instead of going out and showing off to others and attracting their attention.

Li Taohua took her daughter-in-law's hand and said in a softer voice, "The food is ready. It will get cold if you don't eat it now. Come with me and call the children to eat."

I felt relieved that my son finally made no mistake and stood on the same side with me.

A disobedient daughter-in-law should be suppressed with tough measures so that she will be obedient.

What's more, I just let her stay at home and didn't abuse her. I would still provide her with good food and drink and serve her as before.

Meng Ruoxi shook off her hand with an angry look on her face, "You have no right to lock me up, I'm going to get out of this door today no matter what!"

"You are sick, so I will stay with you this afternoon and evening, and I won't go home until 7pm, remember?"

Seeing her daughter who had disappeared for the whole afternoon come back, Li Aihua breathed a sigh of relief, but then anger flashed in her eyes, "What have you been doing for the whole afternoon! Do you know that your family is very worried about you!"

Meng Ruoxi looked guilty, "Mom, I'm really sorry. Qingchen was sick, and I was so busy taking care of him that I forgot to call you to tell you."

He lied without changing his expression, trying to get away with it all.
