Chapter 14 We Must Divorce

Chapter 14 We Must Divorce

Su Hexi was half-forced by Zhou Lin to walk towards the Zhou family's old house outside the city. She struggled all the way and her wrist was pinched by Zhou Lin so hard that it hurt.

"Zhou Lin, let me go! Do you hear me? We must get a divorce! Now! Immediately!" Su Hexi was so angry that her face turned pale. She tried hard to shake off his hand, but Zhou Lin's hand was like an iron clamp and did not move at all.

Su Hexi only felt a deep sense of powerlessness and anger surging in his heart.

A good marketing plan was ruined.

The Zhou family is such a mess!

Divorce! She must divorce as soon as possible! Otherwise, she will never live in peace!

Zhou Lin's face was tense, his jawline taut. For the first time, he growled at her in such a stern and unquestionable tone: "Su Hexi, I won't leave! I said I won't leave and that's it! I'll make it clear to my family today! You are my wife, the woman of my life! No one can make me let go!"

"You bastard! Who wants to follow you forever!"

Su Hexi was almost mad with rage. What was going on in this man's brain?

As they pulled, the familiar low adobe wall of the Zhou family's courtyard appeared before their eyes. Before they even got close, a strong, pungent mixture of odors hit them in the face.

The smell of chicken manure, the sour smell of compost in the pigpen, the smell of firewood ashes, and the smell of some rotten food...all kinds of smells intertwined together to form an extremely impactful "stinky egg".

Su Hexi's stomach suddenly contracted violently, "Ugh!"

She bent over and retched violently, choking on tears.

"It stinks! I won't go to your house! I'd rather die than go to your house! Let me go!"

She vomited until her face turned blue, and pointed at the yard, the disgust and resentment in her eyes almost tangible. No wonder the original owner refused to live here, even at death. This environment is enough to make people faint just by approaching!

Zhou Lin looked at her vomiting heartbreakingly, feeling distressed and helpless. He could only clumsily pat her back: "Bear with it, it will only take a while. Let's talk to our families and then go back to the city. It will be fine soon."

Seeing that her vomiting had eased a little, Zhou Lin grabbed her arm again, this time with less force, but still with an unyielding persistence, half supporting and half dragging her towards the gate of the courtyard.

As soon as he entered the yard, the big yellow dog tied to the corner of the wall to guard the house immediately pricked up its ears vigilantly and barked twice, especially at the unfamiliar Su Hexi who exuded a sense of resistance.

Su Hexi sneered at the dog.

Zhou Lin frowned, stepped forward and kicked the yellow dog twice, cursing, "What are you barking about! You can't even tell who's the master! If you bark again, I'll stew you!"

The yellow dog whimpered in grievance, then hid back in its kennel with its tail between its legs.

Wang Huixian and Zhou Lanyin in the room heard the noise, pushed the door open and rushed out.

Wang Huixian saw Su Hexi's disgusted look as she was dragged in by her son, and all her old and new hatreds surged up in her heart. She pointed at her and cursed, "You evil person! You jinx! How dare you come to our Zhou family! Get out of here right now! Don't dirty our Zhou family's land! Stop pestering my son!"

Zhou Lin immediately protected Su Hexi behind him and, for the first time, scolded his mother in such a harsh tone: "Mom! Stop talking! She's my wife! If you don't acknowledge her, you're not acknowledging me as your son! Don't ever mention divorce again! I won't divorce!"

Wang Huixian was stunned by her son's yelling, and then tears came to her eyes, "Mom, this is for your own good..."

"Since this is for my own good, then you shouldn't meddle in my affairs anymore!" Zhou Lin didn't want to argue in the yard and make people laugh, so he pulled Su Hexi into the house and said, "Come in first. If you have anything to say, sit down and talk it over."

Su Hexi looked at the low, dimly lit main room that exuded an even stronger odor, as if it were some kind of treacherous den. She suddenly shook off his hand and said sharply, "Let me into this stinking garbage dump? Only animals would be willing to stay in there! I'm not going in! Let's talk here!"

Zhou Lanyin was already holding back her anger, and upon hearing this, she exploded: "You think it stinks? You think we're animals? Then when your Su family fell, and you and your grandfather came to my house like stray dogs, begging for shelter, why didn't you think it stinks? We weren't animals back then!"

These words were like a sharp knife, piercing the most unbearable part of the original owner's memory.

Su Hexi's expression instantly turned extremely ugly, and she turned around to leave: "Alright! You guys are so noble! I'm leaving now, okay?"

Zhou Lin quickly grabbed her tightly, a splitting headache coming on. He yelled at his sister, "Stop talking!" Then he turned to Su Hexi and said humbly, "Let's talk in the yard, right here, okay?"

He took a deep breath, suppressing his anger and helplessness, and went to the wall to move a small stool that looked relatively clean and placed it next to Su Hexi. He even wiped the stool with his sleeve and said, "Sit here and take a rest."

Su Hexi was already furious, and seeing his attentiveness made her even angrier. She felt it was extremely hypocritical, so she kicked the stool away with a clang, her face full of disgust: "Take it away! Don't dirty my new clothes!"

Su Hexi's action and look made even Zhou Zhisheng, who had been silent and trying to ease the atmosphere, frown tightly.

Didn't Big Brother say that Sister-in-law has become a better person now? She even makes clothes for him? This seems... even more mean and mean than her previous unreasonable behavior!

Zhou Lin looked at the small stool that was kicked away, his eyes darkened, but he didn't say anything in the end. He just walked over silently to pick up the stool, and didn't sit on it himself.

Several people were stuck in the yard.

Zhou Lin took a deep breath and began to explain to his family. He said Su Hexi wasn't pregnant, that it was all a misunderstanding, and that she had taken over the shop because she wanted to do something serious, not what they thought...

His tone was heavy as he tried his best to defend Su Hexi and express his determination not to divorce.

Wang Huixian and Zhou Lanyin were skeptical, but they were more dissatisfied and felt sorry for their son.

Zhou Zhisheng remained silent, his eyes moving back and forth between his elder brother and sister-in-law.

Su Hexi covered her nose with her hands the whole time and had a cold face, as if everything Zhou Lin said had nothing to do with her and she was just an audience member forced to listen to the show.

Wang Huixian advised earnestly: "Rinzi, even if there is no child, her personality is..."

"Brother, she doesn't like our family at all. Why do you have to do this? Just get a divorce!" Zhou Lanyin also advised.

"I just like her personality. I won't divorce her!" Zhou Lin looked at Su Hexi, his voice carrying a subtle pleading tone: "Xiaoxi, explain to everyone why you went out on the street today?"

Everyone's eyes were focused on Su Hexi.

Su Hexi put down her hand that was covering her nose, raised her eyes, and a very sarcastic sneer appeared on the corner of her mouth. She said word by word clearly: "I went to the streets to flirt, trying to seduce men to have an affair."

"You!" Wang Huixian was so angry that she almost fainted. "I told you you'd never do anything good! Rinzi, don't you think she's embarrassing enough?"
