The banyan tree, which hadn't reacted much before, quickly opened its eyes and nose, yawned, and almost startled the cat.
Cat Duoduo, carrying several snake cubs, did indeed jump back a step. Amidst the laughter of Little Elite and Grandpa Banyan Tree, her cheeks flushed red. "Hello, Grandpa Banyan Tree."
"Hello, outsider." Grandpa Banyan Tree was quite talkative, showing no sign that he was the master of this place.
CatDodo quickly explained her purpose, "Hello, I came here to find my mate. I never expected to find this place."
She frowned, thinking about what had happened before she arrived here. She had been chased by a group of blue foxes, but unexpectedly followed the light and jumped here. What was going on?
Grandpa Banyan Tree said "Oh," and offered, "I might have some recollection of this."
"When I woke up earlier, I sensed that a snake-beast had accidentally wandered into the Elf Valley, so I chased it away."
It was launched?
Cat Dodo's heart tightened. She looked at the rather thick branches and dense foliage of Grandpa Banyan Tree and quickly asked, "Did you hurt him?"
Seriously? Are the villains really that miserable? They finally arrived at this place that looks perfect for hibernation, only to be kicked out again.
Even as an onlooker, she wanted to drag the other person along to burn incense, hoping to gain some so-called good fortune.
Grandpa Banyan Tree laughed heartily and said very kindly, "Don't worry, child, I didn't hurt him. I just sent him back to the world he belongs to."
Cat Duoduo breathed a sigh of relief. It was indeed very comfortable here, unlike the discomfort and suffocation she felt in the outside world.
However, she glanced at the snake cubs who were still fast asleep and felt worried about their condition.
She said, "I want to leave here to find my companions. Grandpa Banyan Tree, how can I get out?"
Grandpa Banyan Tree didn't speak immediately; he seemed to be thinking about something.
Wait, why is what she encountered different from what the Serpent Rong encountered? The Serpent Rong were clearly driven out quickly—
"Okay, but you have to do me a favor before I'll let you out. Otherwise, I'll keep you trapped for life." Grandpa Banyan Tree suddenly spoke, which really surprised Cat Duoduo and the little elf beside him.
What incredible luck she has!
Grandpa Banyan Tree seemed to be about to explain, and said slowly, "You are very peculiar, unlike any of the beastmen we've encountered before."
So, she unexpectedly gained the favor of a big shot by relying on her unique, fresh, and quirky charm?
CatDodo's lips twitched, and she took a deep breath, wanting to get to the bottom of things.
Unexpectedly, Grandpa Banyan Tree said slowly, with a hint of sincerity, "As for the matter I asked you to help with, you can wait until you come back and look for me again. I will tell you then."
"However, you can choose to go to the top of the North Mountain to find a Heart of Earth Spirit and bring it back to me. And the person you are looking for is over there."
CatDodo's heart tightened. She thanked him and then led the snake cubs forward in the direction that Grandpa Banyan Tree pointed with his branches.
Behind you, the old banyan tree seemed to whisper, "Child, don't look back, just keep walking forward, towards the sound of water, and you will find your way..."
Cat Duoduo patiently tried to hug a few snakes along the way to warm their bodies and wake them up. She also suddenly thought of the blue fox that had attacked her before, and worried about what she would do if she encountered those creatures again.
Even so, she persisted on her way, and surprisingly, the journey was relatively smooth, without encountering any annoying people...
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Maoduoduo soon spotted a point of light.
This light spot was completely different from the one that had previously drawn her to the Valley of the Spirits. As CatDodo approached, she realized that this was the light spot indicating the entrance to the Blue Fox Cave.
She breathed a sigh of relief and ran over quickly, only to find Diqing and Jiaer discussing how to find Maoduoduo.
“I’m here.” CatDodo ran over and said, “There are no clues about the Serpent Rong on that road. Let’s go back to the tribal city first.”
She glanced at the snow-covered landscape outside and sighed, "I'm afraid that staying in this place will lead to my eternal rest."
Upon hearing this, Gal and Diqing laughed and said, "It might be quite difficult. Those who can stay here are usually among the top warriors in the tribe."
CatDodo: "..." So, someone as weak as her is just there to be a denominator, a friendly participation? 囧囧.
Even so, Maoduoduo still asked Diqing about the so-called summit of Beishan on the way.
Diqing is a very knowledgeable person, and because of his past experiences, he has a good understanding of things here.
Upon hearing the name "Peak of North Mountain," he couldn't help but frown, seemingly surprised that Mao Duoduo could directly use the term "Peak of North Mountain."
Even so, he quickly introduced:
"Beishan is a legendary place, and very few people can actually achieve it."
"To reach the summit of Beishan, one must cross these snow-capped mountains, a perilous journey. Many legendary heroes have perished on these roads."
Upon hearing this, Maoduoduo sighed, "If I go, wouldn't it be a waste of my time?"
Gal and Diqing stopped and turned back, their eyes filled with worry and confusion. "Why are you going there?"
"Oh, it's just curiosity." Not wanting to worry them, Mao Duoduo tried to explain, "I just suddenly thought, if I conquered a place that no one else could reach, it would be really amazing."
Her face beamed with an expectant smile, as if she were just saying it casually.
Diqing and Gal did not immediately think much of it, but they still inevitably objected.
Diqing: "Only dreamy orcs would fantasize about going to such a dangerous place."
Gal: "The snow-capped mountains are formidable; not just any orc can cross them. Even three- and four-striped orcs couldn't get through—"
Then why are the Serpent Barbarians over there?
CatDodo felt like she was going to vomit blood, but when she thought about the other party's future identity, she could only try to comfort herself that this was the treatment a boss should receive.
Even so, she was still being dishonest, and for now, she was dealing with Diqinggal while she went back with them.
The stone house area, near the tribal city's underfloor heating, was quite warm and comfortable. Even the few snake cubs who had been shivering and were somewhat sensitive to the cold earlier were now leisurely stretching out, practically wanting to perform a somersault on the spot.
