When we arrived at Old Di's house, I didn't ask Sister Wang to come in; I just waited outside.
When I followed the butler into the house, Old Master Di was still entertaining guests. Seeing this, I didn't even sit down and just stood up to reply.
I stood there for almost ten minutes before Old Master Di seemed to just notice me.
He immediately greeted her warmly, saying, "Oh, my dear nephew, please sit down. Don't be shy. Your master and I are close friends."
"Make yourself at home here, don't be shy!"
I replied with a smile, "No need, no need. In front of Elder Di, there's no place for me to sit. I'll just stand."
I clearly saw the coldness in Old Master Di's eyes, but he didn't show it.
He was still smiling, praising me to his guest for being sensible. His guest didn't even introduce himself to me.
They chatted for a while longer before getting up and going back.
I also went out to see the guests off. When we reached the door, after Mr. Di had finished saying goodbye to the guests…
Just as he turned around, about to speak to me, I preemptively said, "Mr. Di, I see you're very busy with official duties, and I also have other things to attend to, so I won't bother you any longer. Mr. Di, please don't see me off."
My preemptive strike caught Old Master Di off guard; he'd never seen anyone like me before.
He came over to build a relationship, but left without saying a single serious word. I could clearly see the coldness in his eyes lessen.
In his view, I was just getting angry out of spite, unable to tolerate even the slightest grievance.
So he didn't say anything, just smiled and said perfunctorily, "Nephew, you've only just arrived, why are you leaving already? Why not stay a little longer? If your master finds out, he'll think I haven't been hospitable enough."
I kept saying, "I dare not, I dare not," but I kept walking out.
As soon as I arrived at the door, I saw several people surrounding my car. Sister Wang was humiliated again.
Xiao Tao was pinned to the ground by several bodyguards, who were hurling threats at him. I didn't say anything; I just walked towards the car.
From a distance, a bodyguard raised his hand, trying to stop me.
Without saying a word, I struck with hatred, breaking one of his arms.
I grabbed his hair to keep him from falling, glanced at him, and then broke one of his legs.
His screams attracted the attention of the other bodyguards, who all attacked without hesitation.
I was deliberately trying to vent my anger, so I didn't say anything and just broke one of the arms and one leg of each of these bodyguards.
Watching them writhe and groan on the ground made me feel much better. I didn't even glance at the woman standing next to me.
They immediately helped Xiao Tao up and asked, "Are you alright?"
Xiao Tao, looking ashamed, said to me, "Fourth Young Master, I've embarrassed you."
I laughed and patted his arm, saying, "What's embarrassing? You did a great job."
Turning back to Sister Wang, he said, "Sister, I'm so sorry to have you suffer these past few days, you've been beaten so much."
Sister Wang's eyes were just red-rimmed. She wiped away the tears from her cheeks and gave me a big smile.
Just then, the woman next to me realized what was happening, pointed at me, and was about to say something.
I suddenly turned around, my face expressionless and my eyes filled with murderous intent, and said to her, "Don't tell me you don't know who I am."
"You dare cause trouble for me here? You must have some status. But don't mess with me now, or I'll just beat you up and apologize."
Seeing my cold gaze, the woman swallowed back the words she was about to say.
I ignored her and turned to Xiao Tao, asking, "How are you? Can you still drive?"
Xiao Tao said, "It's alright, it won't delay the drive." I got in the car and said, "Let's go back to the Hot Spring Palace."
We walked in silence, and I simply put my arm around Sister Wang as we returned to the hot spring palace.
Until we find a place to stay, we'll use the Onsen Palace as our base for now.
