After leaving the law firm, Qin Suisui did not rush home, but instead went to a nearby supermarket to buy some vegetables and fruits.
Since she was in a good mood today, she decided to treat herself to dinner.
Qin Suisui bought a threadfin from the fresh food section. She didn't know how to cook fish, and steaming threadfin was one of the few dishes she knew how to make.
Then she bought some vegetables and fruit, one meat dish and one vegetable dish, which was just enough for her dinner.
She picked up the bag and decisively went to the cashier to queue up and wait to pay.
Steamed fish and fruit salad were her dinner that evening.
Stepping out of the elevator, Qin Suisui pressed the fingerprint lock.
She pushed open the door and was greeted by a room full of lights.
"Sui Sui, you're back!"
Huo Zhongyuan sat on the living room sofa, looking at her with a smile, his eyes as bright as stars.
A laptop sat in front of him, and his sleeves were rolled up to his forearms from working.
His eyes were warm as he took his glasses off his nose and stood up to greet him.
"Senior brother! When did you get back?"
Qin Suisui finally realized what was happening. Overjoyed, she dropped the bag in her hand and pounced on Huo Zhongyuan.
Huo Zhongyuan leaned forward slightly to catch her, his strong arms encircling her waist, his hands supporting her hips, and he bounced her up and down.
"It seems you haven't been eating properly while I was away!"
The ears of grain were as light and graceful as ever.
“I’m so busy every day, sometimes I do forget. It’s your fault for not making sure I eat.”
Qin Suisui pouted and acted coquettishly, which was rare for her.
"You're not in the country, and there's no one to eat with me!"
"It seems it's still my fault! I didn't take good care of my little Sui Sui!"
Huo Zhongyuan's voice was languid and deep, and his eyes were bright.
He lowered his head slightly, his deep gaze sweeping over Qin Suisui. Seeing his beloved girl standing gracefully in front of him, his love surged.
He cupped her face in his hands, his lips lightly touching her forehead, eyes, and the tip of her nose.
Finally, my gaze fell on her red lips.
It was as if a wild beast was roaring inside Huo Zhongyuan, wanting to break free of its cage. In the end, he could not control his emotions and kissed her forcefully.
Qin Suisui's breath hitched, then she tiptoed forward to meet him. She clung to his shoulders with both hands, feeling breathless from his kisses, and her eyes reddened slightly.
In the living room, only the two of them could be heard breathing, their ambiguous atmosphere drying out the thin air between their lips and tongues.
After an unknown amount of time, Qin Suisui opened her eyes to find herself lying naked on the bed. She felt weak all over and realized that her body had been cleaned.
Her eyelids were half-closed with sleepiness, and in her half-asleep state, she saw her senior brother come out of the bathroom. He was bending over and speaking softly.
"Sui Sui, you sleep for a while. I'll go to the kitchen to make dinner and then come back to wake you up."
"Um!"
Qin Suisui lifted her eyelids and saw her senior brother standing by the bed with his hair still wet. The dim floor lamp cast a hazy warmth on his face.
She felt a sense of peace and tranquility, and a faint smile graced her face.
She buried her face in the pillow, her nostrils filled with the man's scent.
Her eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and she gradually drifted off to sleep.
"Sui Sui, get up and eat something before you go back to sleep!"
Qin Suisui was sleeping soundly when her senior brother's voice kept ringing in her ears.
She buried her face even deeper.
Muttering, "I'm so sleepy, I don't want to eat at all!"
"Honey, I cooked the fish you bought. Get up and eat a few bites before going back to sleep."
Huo Zhongyuan reached out and gently patted her buttocks.
This made her slightly open her eyes and glance at him sideways.
"Looks like it's time for me to show off my boyfriend skills!"
Seeing that Sui Sui was unwilling to get up, Huo Zhongyuan bent down, picked her up, and carried her towards the restaurant.
"Hate!"
Qin Suisui hummed and groaned all the way until she sat down at the dining table. Looking at the dishes on the table, although they looked and smelled delicious, she was too sleepy to have any appetite.
"I'm not hungry, I want to sleep!"
"Have a sip of soup first!"
Huo Zhongyuan placed the white porcelain soup bowl in front of Sui Sui.
His voice carried a hint of laughter.
Do you need me to feed you?
"unnecessary!"
Qin Suisui glanced at him sideways, then reached out and picked up a soup spoon to sip the soup.
After drinking the soup for a while, she finally regained her energy and was able to think normally again.
She looked up at Huo Zhongyuan, who was serving her food.
"Senior brother, why didn't you tell me you were coming back?"
“I was only a few minutes earlier than you. On the way, I called the law firm. Assistant Yue said you had just left and wanted to give you a surprise, so I got back here as fast as I could.”
"surprise!"
Qin Suisui almost rolled her eyes: "More like 'shocked'!"
When she saw the lights on inside, she was startled for half a second, but the moment she realized it was her senior brother, her fear was immediately overwhelmed by joy.
"I've startled my Sui Sui!"
Huo Zhongyuan reached out and pinched her nose.
"Your senior brother will prepare a big gift for you in a few days!"
"What wonderful gift?"
Qin Suisui looked on with curiosity. The fact that her senior brother had categorized the gift as a grand present meant that it must have won her heart.
"Sweetie, you'll find out in a few days. Knowing beforehand will ruin the fun!"

Qin Suisui raised her eyebrows slightly. Since the other party was unwilling to talk about it, she would not ask any further.
She was curious to see what kind of grand gift her senior brother would give her in the end.
