Chapter 58 Invitation

"Attorney Qin, why did you agree to let them examine the evidence we provided?"

"You know this evidence, it must be true."

Fan Jing was confused. After seeing the people from Jingzhou Hospital walk away, she became agitated and started to accuse them, her voice trembling with tears.

"Do you know how long my husband and I have waited for this day?"

"Xiaojing, don't worry, Attorney Qin must have her reasons."

Han Cheng helped Fan Jing up and comforted her, but his eyes were fixed on Qin Suisui's every move.

Qin Suisui glanced at the two of them and explained softly, "Jingzhou Hospital is a top-tier hospital in Huating City and is a public hospital. Apart from getting them to provide compensation financially, it's probably difficult to get them to pay any other price."

"Since the other party has softened their stance, why waste each other's time in the litigation process?"

“Your lawsuit is seeking civil damages. As long as the compensation offered by Jingzhou Hospital meets our expectations, it means we have won this lawsuit.”

"If you want the other party to pay a price beyond financial compensation, it could be a lengthy legal process, and I doubt either of you has the time or energy for that."

Fan Jing and Han Cheng finally understood, and both of them looked apologetic.

"I'm sorry, Attorney Qin, Xiaojing and I don't know anything about these things, we've caused you trouble."

A smile finally appeared on Han Cheng's face, and he and Fan Jing kept bowing and apologizing to Qin Suisui.

"Need not!"

Qin Suisui quickly dodged.

"I'm only guessing the probability right now; the other party hasn't given the final result yet."

Han Cheng's gaze was firm: "No matter what, Attorney Qin, you are a benefactor to me and Xiao Jing."

Qin Suisui's eyes held a hint of a smile, and she nodded slightly towards the two of them.

"I'll head back to the law firm first. If you have any further questions, feel free to come to the law firm and find me."

"Definitely, definitely."

As Fan Jing watched Qin Lu and his assistant Yue get into the car and drive away, she couldn't help but sigh to her husband.

"Dacheng, we've met some good people, otherwise..."

Seeing his wife's eyes reddening, Han Cheng patted her shoulder.

"We'll think about repaying Attorney Qin when we're able to."

…………

Sitting in the back seat, Yue Hongxin turned around and glanced at the couple who were standing there.

"Attorney Qin, do you think Jingzhou Hospital will accept Attorney Wang's opinion?"

Of course.

Qin Suisui looked out the car window and smiled sarcastically: "The Beijiang Law Firm where Wang Jieming works is the best law firm that Jingzhou Hospital can find right now."

“I’ve reviewed Wang Jieming’s lawsuits over the past few years, and his success rate is 85%. If even Attorney Wang can’t convince them, who else can Jingzhou Hospital turn to? Our Law Firm, Luo Dun Law Firm?”

Upon hearing Lu's description, Yue Hongxin couldn't help but imagine the scene in her mind and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Attorney Qin, does that mean our lawsuit is now successfully concluded?"

"If nothing unexpected happens, then yes."

If Jingzhou Hospital doesn't act erratically, it's best to act quickly and provide an economic solution. This could salvage the hospital's reputation; dragging it out will only make things worse and be more detrimental to the hospital.

The opposing hospital has probably already heard about today's lawsuit and is likely preparing a counter-propaganda campaign.

For Fan Jing and her husband, everything was already irreversible.

If you can't change the current situation, getting some compensation can at least improve your life. Living a simple and fulfilling life is the most important thing.

Back at the law firm, Qin Suisui instructed her assistant, Yue, to archive all the litigation documents and materials related to the case.

She believes that the management of Jingzhou Hospital will surely figure out the pros and cons and bring this lawsuit to a close.

Her work has come to a close.

It's almost the end of the year, and due to the year-end performance evaluation mechanism, the courts are scheduling fewer and fewer trials.

Consequently, Qin Suisui's workload decreased.

When she got home in the evening, she was too tired to go out. She cooked a packet of instant noodles and made a poached egg, which she used as her dinner. She ate while scrolling through her phone.

Just then, Su Yue posted a new update on her WeChat Moments.

The silhouettes of the family of three, bathed in the afterglow of the setting sun, evoke a sense of tranquility and peace.

Qin Suisui suddenly lost the desire to eat the noodles.

Thinking of the stack of evidence documents in her office, she put down her chopsticks and rubbed her forehead.

In recent years, she has handled more than a dozen divorce cases, mostly advocating for the interests of the women involved. When dealing with the party at fault in a divorce due to infidelity, she never offers her personal opinion but only provides an objective and reasonable analysis to maximize the interests of her clients.

She was unable to offer professional advice to her friend's parents.

Qin Sui lowered her head and thought for a while before dialing Su Yue's number.

Su Yue's voice, as always, conveyed enthusiasm and energy.

"Busy guy, what made you think of calling me?"

"Well, there's something I'd like to ask you for help with."

Qin Suisui chuckled softly.

"Yueyue, I have a professional question I'd like to ask Uncle Su. Could you give me Uncle Su's business card?"

"Hmph! I knew nothing would happen. You, Attorney Qin, would never call me."

Su Yue complained, "Let's make this clear first. Jinjin and Xiaolu are coming to Huating in a few days. You'd better make time for them, or they definitely won't let you off the hook."

"Okay, Miss Su."

Qin Suisui rolled her eyes helplessly.

"Stop arguing and hurry up and give me Uncle Su's business card."

After hanging up the phone, she sighed softly, opened the business card Yueyue had sent her, and requested to add her as a friend.

The friend request was quickly approved.

Qin Suisui stared at her phone for a while before finally making a voice call.

"Sui Sui!"

"Uncle Su! Are you busy right now? Am I bothering you?"

Su Jingbo said with a smile, "No, it's just my break time. Sui Sui, is there something you need from Uncle Su?"

Qin Suisui's voice carried a faint smile.

"I do have something to discuss with you, Uncle Su. When are you available?"

Su Jingbo glanced at her daily schedule: "I'm free tomorrow at noon. Your uncle will treat you to lunch tomorrow."

"Uncle Su, then I won't be polite."

Qin Suisui hung up the phone, and the smile on her face vanished instantly.

At the same time, Su Jingbo put down her phone and her face fell.

He had a bad feeling; he always felt that Sui Sui's invitation to him was not a good thing.

He leaned back in his chair, a bitter smile on his face. He felt guilty, and as an elder, he had been speculating about the invitation from a junior. It was a truly unpleasant feeling.
