Qin Suisui was relieved to learn about Wang Shu's situation.
She looked at Zhang Lan with a smile.
"Director Wang's behavior was indeed a bit off. She ran into Miss Gu, a tough nut to crack. If her lover was just an ordinary person, he might have had to swallow his anger."
Ordinary people don't have the energy or connections to investigate such a detailed report.
She had witnessed Wang Shu's arrogance and domineering nature; only someone stronger than her could suppress her arrogance.
"That's for sure."
Seeing that the atmosphere was just right, Zhang Lan finally brought up the main purpose of her visit today.
“Qin Lu, you should be able to guess why I’m here at the law firm.”
Qin Suisui nodded: "I heard a few words about it at the banquet, but I don't know the specifics."
"In the end, it's all about power struggles. They all want to find an opportunity to devour me alive, thinking I will be defeated. How ridiculous! I don't believe I can't outmaneuver a bunch of idiots who only know how to scheme."
Zhang Lan's expression gradually turned solemn. Thinking of the mess her deceased husband had left her, she let out another bitter laugh.
“Qin Lu, you haven’t been back in Huating for long, so you may not know much about my deceased husband. He was a scoundrel who indulged in drinking, gambling, and whoring.”
Zhang Lan gritted her teeth with hatred whenever He Jiang was mentioned.
Qin Suisui had investigated part of Zhang Lan and He Jiang's private life, and she was not surprised by their marital relationship.
In the few years since graduation, she has handled too many divorce cases involving couples like this: both partners actually run family businesses, maintain a facade of harmony in the family for the sake of profit, and do not interfere with each other's feelings, each going their own way.
When she got to the point of her worries, Zhang Lan took out a pack of cigarettes from her bag. Just as she was about to light one, she suddenly realized that the environment was different and looked up.
"Qin Lu, do you mind?"
"No problem, smoking can relieve stress, feel free to smoke."
Upon hearing this, Zhang Lan smiled apologetically and lit a cigarette.
She took a deep breath, paused for a moment, and then continued speaking.
“Lawyer Qin, I had someone investigate your lawsuits in the US over the past few years, and according to my friend, they’re perfect!”
There was undisguised admiration in her eyes.
"I want you to help me with a lawsuit, the equity dispute case I just mentioned."
"Chairman Zhang, please speak first!"
Qin Suisui quietly poured her some coffee and listened attentively.
"When He Jiang was still alive, several shareholders signed a framework agreement for the company to increase investment and adjust equity."
Zhang Lan glanced at Huang Ming sitting opposite her.
"Assistant Huang, please take that framework agreement to Attorney Qin for a look."
Qin Suisui took the framework agreement handed to her by Assistant Huang, and listened to Zhang Lan's introduction while looking at the agreement.
The agreement was clearly stated, with the three parties agreeing to jointly acquire shares of Huating Feifan Industrial Co., Ltd., resulting in Chun Shen Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. and Wenhui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. holding 38% and 62% of the shares respectively.
In August of the same year, Chun Shen Cultural Tourism signed a supplementary agreement with Wenhui Pharmaceutical, stipulating that Wenhui Pharmaceutical would first purchase the shares of Huating Feifan Industrial Co., Ltd., and temporarily transfer 27% of the shares of Wenhui Pharmaceutical to Chun Shen Cultural Tourism.
Unexpectedly, after all the formalities were completed, Chun Shen Cultural Tourism reneged on its promise, refused to fulfill the agreement, and privately transferred 27% of Wenhui Pharmaceutical's shares to another shareholder of Wenhui Pharmaceutical—Mu Lanchao.
“Lawyer Qin, you have seen this agreement document, which is fully legally binding. However, those two bastards have already completed all the formalities privately. If it weren’t for my cousin’s intervention, Wenhui Pharmaceutical would have already changed its name and identity.”
Qin Suisui nodded. Judging from this agreement, the former chairman of Wenhui Pharmaceutical was indeed a visionary businessman. It was a pity that he left at the wrong time.
"Chairman Zhang, according to the agreement, no matter how the litigation goes, the law is on your side. Unfortunately, the other party has taken advantage of the time difference and has claimed that Chairman He, the person who signed the agreement, has passed away, and the current operators are contrary to the investment philosophy that was signed at the time, so the agreement is considered invalid."
“Yes, now Zhang Bin and Mu Lanchao from Chunshen are using this as an excuse to refuse to comply with the agreement. Mu Lanchao has already effectively controlled 49% of Wenhui Pharmaceutical’s shares, while I only hold 36%. Fortunately, my cousin holds 15%. If we hadn’t applied to the court in time to freeze 27% of the shares, Wenhui Pharmaceutical would probably have been sold off by them.”
After reading the entire agreement, Qin Suisui had already formulated a draft in her mind, but she still maintained a calm demeanor on the surface.
She smiled and said, "Chairman Zhang, I just received this information and can't give you a definite answer right now. How about this, give me a week, and the law firm will reassess the feasibility of this lawsuit. If it's feasible, I'll give you a call. What do you think?"
"no problem!"
Zhang Lan readily agreed. This lawsuit had been dragging on for almost two years, and she could afford to wait a few more days.
The matter was resolved, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw that the sky outside the glass window was gradually darkening.
"Is it already this late?"
She glanced down at the time and realized it was almost six o'clock. Time really flies.
She got up to say goodbye.
"Lawyer Qin, I have a dinner engagement tonight, so let's call it a day and not bother you any longer. Please let me know as soon as you have any news."
"no problem."
Qin Suisui smiled and stood up to see him off.
"I was originally planning to invite Chairman Zhang to dinner tonight, but I didn't expect your schedule to be so tight. I'll have to wait for another opportunity."
"Haha, Qin Lu, as long as you're in Huating, we'll have plenty of time to get together in the future. When I have the chance, I'll introduce you to a few friends; they all have this kind of desire."
