Chapter 73 Childhood Friend

Yue Qi was about to ask a question when Huo Zhongyuan, who had taken a few steps, turned back.

"Brother Yuan, what's wrong?"

Huo Zhongyuan glanced at him sideways: "I'm worried you'll cause trouble here, and then I'll have to waste my time getting you out of trouble. I might as well stay here and keep an eye on you."

Yue Qi: "Your idea... is unacceptable, it's really strange."

"Brother Yuan, since we're not going back, let's keep drinking."

Xie San filled his wine glass, raised it, and drank it all in one gulp.

He gestured with his eyes to Jia Zhi, who was sitting next to him.

Upon receiving the message, Jia Zhi quickly picked up the wine bottle, filled his wine glass, and stood up to walk towards Huo Zhongyuan.

Actually, he wasn't familiar with President Huo, and he had to beg Brother Xie to bring him over this time.

I hadn't had a chance to speak with Mr. Huo until now, and I was feeling disappointed as he was about to leave, when he unexpectedly came back.

He held the wine glass with both hands and spoke in a courteous manner: "I am Jia Zhi from Taiheng Real Estate. I came here with Brother Xie. It is an honor to meet you."

"Um!"

Under the lights, Huo Zhongyuan sat casually with a languid expression. His fingers, holding the wine glass, were long and slender with distinct knuckles. He raised the glass slightly, but his gaze never left the same spot.

"Mr. Huo, I..."

"If you need anything, have Xie San take you to me."

Huo Zhongyuan frowned slightly and leaned his body to the right.

You're blocking my view.

"Oh, I'll move aside right away."

Jia Zhi quickly stepped aside, bowed slightly to Huo Zhongyuan, and turned to walk towards Xie San.

When he was stared at by President Huo just now, his heart almost stopped for a moment. Only after he got away did his heart rate return to normal.

He was self-aware enough to know that President Huo was giving Xie San face by giving him a chance to meet.

You should know that there are countless people queuing up at Huating hoping to meet with President Huo.

He had put in a lot of effort to get in touch with Brother Xie, which gave him the opportunity to meet President Huo.

Thinking about Mr. Huo's fleeting emotions just now, he wondered what Mr. Huo was looking at.

Jia Zhi secretly followed the direction of President Huo's gaze and saw a dazzling array of colors in the distance. Under the lights, people were sitting in twos and threes in the booths, and it was impossible to see where President Huo's gaze was actually fixed.

Qin Suisui sat down with Yueyue and looked around curiously.

"Sui Sui, what would you like to drink? Order whatever you like. Someone lost a bet today, so they're buying the whole drink menu."

After Sui Sui arrived, her emotions were stirred up, and she became extremely excited.

She glanced around and saw that everyone's eyes were on them, even Cheng Ting's grandson kept glancing in their direction.

Su Yue raised her eyebrows, glared at Sui Sui defiantly, wrapped her arms around Sui Sui's waist, and whispered in her ear.

"These friends of mine have all known each other since childhood. They're the kind of people who just eat, drink, and have fun together. According to my dad, they're the typical 'bad friends'."

"Pfft~"

Qin Suisui was amused by Yueyue's remarks and almost spat out the wine she had just taken a sip of.

She lowered her head and coughed lightly, giving her a reproachful look.

"That's not how you describe friends."

Su Yue waved her hand: "So what? We all call each other fair-weather friends."

She clasped her hands together and called out towards Cheng Ting, "Hey, you bastards!"

Cheng Ting heard it clearly, rolled her eyes, and muttered under her breath, "Childish!"

"Did you see that!"

Su Yue raised her chin defiantly at Cheng Ting.

"You two have such a good relationship!"

Qin Suisui could tell that the two had a very close relationship, and she could also see that the boy opposite her looked at Yueyue with a gentle gaze.

She glanced at Yueyue and saw Yueyue baring her teeth and claws at the other person.

"Hehehe, you idiot."

Su Yue pouted in disgust, reached out and hugged Sui Sui's arm, her body swaying naturally to the music.

"Sui Sui, drink as much as you like here. This is Cheng Ting's territory. You definitely won't run into that unlucky guy again."

"Um!"

Qin Suisui casually glanced around. The bar had two floors, and under the bright lights, it was crowded with people, and young bodies swayed enthusiastically in the noise.

On stage, the electric guitarist plucked the strings rapidly, her emotions stirred by the powerful sound of the guitar, while a hoarse yet passionate female voice filled the entire space from the center of the stage.

"Phew~"

Qin Suisui now understood why Yueyue and the others always liked to go to noisy places like bars to vent their frustrations. Under the influence of music and atmosphere, they could indeed shake off their gloom and become enthusiastic.

She held up her wine glass, sipping it gently, her curious eyes scanning the surroundings, when suddenly her gaze met that of the person opposite her.

Huo Zhongyuan raised his wine glass towards Qin Suisui and drank it all in one gulp.

"Senior Brother Huo~"

Qin Suisui opened her eyes slightly, not expecting to see her senior brother Huo at the bar. She smiled gently and raised her glass towards Huo Zhongyuan, taking a small sip.

She dared not drink any more. She didn't know who had poured her wine. She thought she hadn't drunk much. By the time she realized it, this was the third time she had seen the same wine in the same spot.

She frowned as she looked at the wine glasses on the table, meaning she had drunk at least three glasses.

My head was spinning, and the effects of the alcohol were creeping in. My subconscious was telling me that I might have drunk too much.

She reached out and tugged at Su Yue.

"Yueyue, I've had a bit too much to drink, I need to go home now."

At this moment, Su Yue was being provoked by Cheng Ting into throwing dice, and she was already red-eyed with anger, drinking one cup of wine after another.

Hearing that Sui Sui wanted to go back, he stood up and said unsteadily.

"Sui Sui, I'll take you home."

"No need, I'll hire a designated driver. How can you take me home in this state?"
