Chapter 95 The Qin Family

Qin Suisui smiled as she scrolled down the comments under Huo Shixiong's WeChat Moments. Aside from likes, there were all sorts of blessings.

Her heart was surging with more emotion than ever before. She shouldn't be deluding herself, right? Senior Brother Huo was probably implying that she was the one he was referring to.

While she was lost in thought, her senior brother Huo sent her a link, sharing a song in English called "Unrequited Love".

Clicking the link and listening to the woman's soft, wistful sigh as she sang of unrequited love, Qin Suisui knew that this was Senior Brother Huo's confession to her.

She lay back on the bed, her eyes glazed over, her hands covering her phone against her chest, her gaze seemingly able to penetrate the white wall, staring into the distance.

The corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up, as if she had thought of something. Her cheeks burned, and she suddenly buried her face in the blanket.

This joy remained hidden in my heart, with nowhere to be expressed.

Qin Suisui sighed. To avoid overthinking, she got up and left the room, heading to the kitchen to help Aunt Wang prepare the New Year's Eve dinner.

"Finally out!"

When Wang Fang saw Qin Suisui finally arrive at the kitchen, she couldn't help but speak in a sarcastic tone.

“Aunt Wang, you said before I went abroad that I would come home as a guest. In our Nancheng, we don’t have guests doing chores in the kitchen.”

Qin Suisui had originally planned to come over and help with the washing and cleaning, but before she could even start, she was bombarded with criticism, which made her laugh in exasperation. She simply sat down at the dining table and quietly watched Wang Fang do the work.

"You~"

Wang Fang was so angry she almost threw down the vegetables she was holding. If it weren't for her parents coming to visit for the New Year, she would have liked to take Weiwei straight back to her parents' home.

"This is someone who's studied a few more years than others, and yet they talk to their elders like this!"

"mom!"

Qin Weiwei, who had been sitting on a small stool peeling potatoes, couldn't help but speak up to stop them.

"The potatoes are almost peeled. What else do we need to do? Tell me."

Qin Weiwei glanced apologetically at her sister, then turned to her mother, her tone impatient.

I really don't understand why her mother enjoys making a fool of herself in front of her sister.

My sister only comes back once every few years, so why is that bothering her?

This wasn't the first time Wang Fang had been angered by her daughter's blatant disloyalty. She glared at Qin Weiwei and angrily shoved the vegetable basket in her hand into Qin Weiwei's hands.

"Go wash the vegetables!"

After saying that, she turned and left the kitchen, slamming the kitchen door shut. Wang Fang sat on the sofa, her hand touching her chest.

If this continues, she'll be so angry with the three of them that she'll vomit blood.

Qin Weiwei turned around and glanced at the kitchen door, then stuck her tongue out at her sister.

"Sister, that's how my mother talks. She talks to everyone the same way."

"fine!"

Qin Suisui smiled and got up to help Qin Weiwei tidy up the kitchen.

Qin's father and his family did not stay in their hometown for too long. Around 5 p.m., they returned with the rest of the Qin family.

"Sui Sui, come out quickly."

Upon entering the house, Qin Zhen saw Wang Fang sitting on the sofa, eating sunflower seeds and watching the local TV station's Spring Festival Gala.

Seeing them come in, he hurriedly started tidying up the sunflower seed shells on the coffee table.

"Dad, is it very cold outside?"

Wang Fang approached Grandpa Qin solicitously, wanting to help him with his coat, but Grandpa Qin avoided her.

Qin Huaiming glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, then looked around.

"Where are Sui Sui and Wei Wei?"

He looked at Qin Zhen, and if his gaze could pierce through, Qin Zhen would probably have several holes pierced through him by now.

"Wang Fang, Dad is asking you where Sui Sui and Wei Wei are."

Qin Zhen couldn't understand what Wang Fang was up to again. There was a New Year's Eve dinner to be prepared at home, but the housewife was not busy at all. Instead, she was sitting in the living room eating melon seeds and watching TV, which was quite an eye-opener for him.

"Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and Aunt!"

Qin Suisui and Weiwei came out of the kitchen carrying tea trays.

"Sui Sui, it's been years since I last saw you, you've grown even more beautiful!"

The Qin family aunts finally broke the awkward silence, looked in Qin Suisui's direction, and smiled warmly.

Wang Dan looked up at her niece, who was smiling but silent, and then took her wrist as Qin Suisui put down the tea tray.

"Sit down quickly, let your aunt have a good look at you!"

Wang Dan was increasingly pleased with the sight: "It's so true! The more you grow up, the more you look like your mother. No, you're even more beautiful than your mother!"

She looked up and called to her husband, "Qin Yue, come here quickly!"

Qin Yue stepped over several people and came to Wang Dan's side, jokingly.

"Shut your mouth! You've scared Sui Sui!"

"Get lost! If you can't speak properly, then don't speak!"

Wang Dan rolled her eyes at him, then looked at Qin Suisui with a smile and asked her some questions about her daily work.

Upon seeing this, Qin Cheng quickly went over to them.

"Second brother, please move over a bit. I have a few legal questions I'd like to ask Sui Sui."

"Oh, okay."

Qin Yue moved outwards, squeezing next to Qin Yaoyao, which made Qin Yaoyao gesture as if to hit him.

"Sui Sui, your uncle has something to ask you."

Qin Suisui: "Uncle, what do you want to say?"

She hadn't seen the Qin family members for many years. She didn't have much affection for them, and interacting with them felt more like being with strangers.

"Sui Sui, it's like this."

Qin Yue's face flushed slightly; he was still a little embarrassed to ask his niece such a question.

“I want to divorce Bao Ran. We’re now involved in a small company’s equity. Can you help me analyze how to handle this?”

At this moment, everyone, including Grandpa Qin, looked in Qin Suisui's direction.

Qin Suisui was somewhat surprised. In her memory, her uncle and aunt had always had a good relationship. She could think of any couple that were getting divorced, but she never thought that they would get divorced.
