For some reason, Qi Tong felt relieved when he saw An Yudie looking so sick.
Qi Tong hasn't been to a bar in the past year. He's surrounded by either dull-witted cram school students or clear-headed and stupid college students.
They are all full of expectations for their lives, and everyone can express their life ideals with high morale.
But Qi Tong couldn't say it.
It was as if, even though her life had improved, she was still rotting. But now, seeing An Yudie, whose life was even worse than hers, Qi Tong felt relieved.
Well, in this world, besides normal people who strive to improve themselves, there should also be bad people like them allowed to exist.
Qi Tong suddenly felt very happy and asked An Yudie, "How old are you?"
An Yudie coughed until her face was covered with tears and saliva, but she still answered her with difficulty: "Twenty-six..."
Younger than Qi Tong expected.
But fortunately, it is within Qi Tong's acceptable range.
Qi Tong helped her to the sink and washed her face. Then he pinched the back of An Yudie's neck and showed her the red marks on the back of her hand where her teeth had just scratched her: "See? You bit it."
An Yudie's face showed an expression of shame and a desire to escape.
It was exactly the same feeling as Qi Tong when his classmates asked him "Have you ever been to a bar?"
But Qi Tong would not show this feeling obviously on his face.
Qi Tong felt more comfortable immediately, and he gently stroked An Yudie's thin back with his palm, soothing it a few times.
When An Yudie calmed down a bit, she said again: "This is really disgusting. Don't do this next time."
It sounded like a request she had heard countless times before.
"Can you be more motivated?" "Are you living like a human being?" "Do you still have self-respect?"
Qi Tong finally saw An Yudie covering her face and crying bitterly: "I'm sorry, I can't control myself..."
But she would never show such a vulnerable expression or say such weak words.
Tears flowed down An Yudie's skinny and pale fingers.
Seeing her so weak and painful, Qi Tong actually felt a twisted pleasure similar to self-abuse.
"That's fine." Qi Tong hugged An Yudie again and comforted her gently, "You're fine the way you are now."
