Chapter 24 High-Level Magical Artifacts

Lu Qi was really made naive and easily fooled by Chen Hua, and most importantly, he only listened to her.

If he had such an obedient and well-behaved son, he would be laughing to death in his dreams.

"Uncle Liu, I hope I didn't keep you waiting? I really had something to do, that's why I'm a little late."

Shen Hua was worried that Officer Liu would misunderstand and launch into a long lecture, so after calming down the fox, she quickly explained to him.

"Hmm! I have something to take care of. Please come to my office with me!"

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival. If it weren't for this girl, he wouldn't want to come. He just wants to finish things quickly and go home to row dragon boats with his wife and kids.

He was anxious, and Shen Hua was anxious too. She pulled the fox along and followed him to the office.

He placed the lotus-shaped ritual implement in front of Officer Liu, having just put it back in because he was eating. Now, he put his hand in his pocket and made a gesture as if taking something out.

Officer Liu didn't notice her little action of taking the lotus-shaped ritual implement in her hand.

"This...this is a high-grade magic artifact?"

The entire lotus was emerald green, and each petal seemed to come alive. This was before it was activated. Looking at the lotus, he could already imagine its romantic appearance after it was activated.

Officer Liu had previously thought it was at most a mid-level magic artifact, but he didn't expect it to be a high-level magic artifact, and even a top-tier one at that. He usually couldn't come across something like this.

From his current perspective, this thing is worth at least between 30 million and 80 million.

I was worried that I might accidentally break it while holding it in my hand.

"Can you handle it?"

Shen Hua doesn't have many magical artifacts, but she likes every single one of them. This one is the worst among them. She collected it because it was somewhat pretty and could barely be used as a decoration.

She usually takes the easy way out, using either the Evil Man's Cage or, at worst, a talisman.

Wait a minute, if that's the case, she should have gone to the talisman class so she could slack off, so why did she go to the fighting class? Does that mean she'll have to fight all the time in the future?

I'm so disgusted. Was I out of my mind when I made that choice?

"Yes, of course! I'll contact the government right away. We can't let someone else take such a good thing."

Officer Liu was so excited that his voice was quite loud, and its penetrating power immediately brought Shen Hua back to her senses.

“My dear niece, has Uncle Liu gone mad? It’s just a high-level magic artifact that can only serve as a protective shield, and he’s so happy about it.”

The fox tugged at Chen Hua's hand and asked with some regret.

Shen Hua quickly gestured for it to be quiet and whispered in its ear, "Shh! Don't say that. You've forgotten we need to keep a low profile. I've heard that high-level magical artifacts are becoming very rare from now on."

Most importantly, she can exchange it for a lot of money, so she can continue to eat. The food she's eating now is exactly what she wants.

"Oh right! I almost forgot. Luckily you're quick-witted. But shouldn't we be out making money instead of keeping a low profile? What we're doing doesn't seem like keeping a low profile at all."

Chen Hua: ...

She's already been very low-key; she can't possibly go out and work to earn money, can she?

Even if we really have to do that, we need to solve the current problems first before we can proceed.

"You can't go wrong by listening to me. Once we have money, we'll buy a house and have a place to live here. Doesn't that make sense?"

The fox nodded, indicating that it understood. Although it didn't quite understand, it was happy to have a house to live in, so that it wouldn't be stared at by so many people.
