Chapter 214 Humanoid 4

When Mo Qi came out of the house, he saw the little phoenix perched on the Old Man of the Moon's shoulder, huddled together with him, seemingly looking at something.

"Yuanyuan." Mo Qi frowned and called out to the little phoenix.

Upon hearing Mo Qi's voice, the little phoenix turned around, its eyes lighting up as it flapped its wings and flew towards Mo Qi.

Just as it was about to land in Mo Qi's arms, the little bird suddenly transformed into human form and pounced on him: "Qi Zhi, are you done talking?"

Mo Qi reached out and caught the impetuous little phoenix, habitually ruffling her head, a slight smile playing on his lips: "Mmm."

The Old Man of the Moon put away his little notebook, walked over, and bowed, saying, "Your Majesty."

As soon as he finished speaking, the prince and his attendants came out as well.

"Your Highness, the Emperor." The Old Man of the Moon also gave a simple bow.

The prince smiled faintly: "Old Man of the Moon, it's been a long time."

The Old Man of the Moon smiled and said, "It's kind of you that the Imperial Prince still remembers me."

The little phoenix was still clinging to Mo Qi. Sensing that the atmosphere around them was off, she tugged at Mo Qi's clothes and said, "Qi Zhi, the Old Man of the Moon's smile is so scary."

Mo Qi glanced indifferently at the two people who had never gotten along: "Matchmaker, send the prince back."

Matchmaker: "..."

I suspect that Your Majesty is deliberately retaliating against me, but I have no proof.

"Then I'll have to trouble the Matchmaker." The Emperor smiled at him without changing his expression.

The Old Man of the Moon sneered, "Your Highness, please come in."

After the Emperor and the Matchmaker left, the little phoenix transformed back into a little bird and nestled in Mo Qi's arms, climbed onto his shoulder, and whispered in his ear, "Qi Zhi, what did the Emperor say to you?"

The little phoenix's voice when it turned back into a bird was a soft, childlike voice. Mo Qi coughed lightly, felt uncomfortable, picked up the bird, rubbed it, and then made a hand seal to turn the bird back into human form.

"I told them about our marriage."

Yuan Dan looked up at him and said, "But didn't you say that the Emperor wanted to talk to you today about how to handle the gnomon in the future?"

Mo Qi raised an eyebrow: "But in my eyes, marrying my little Yuanyuan is the most important thing."

On New Year's Day, she finally realized she was embarrassed and blushed, burying her head in his chest and nuzzling him: "We've already consummated our marriage."

Mo Qi: "??"

When was the burial chamber opened?

last night?

Has this little phoenix forgotten that she turned back into a bird before the events of last night had even officially begun?

Mo Qi's gaze towards the little phoenix suddenly turned melancholic: "The bridal chamber is not the same as the consummation of marriage."

Little Phoenix: "??"

True to her good habit of asking questions when she didn't understand, the little phoenix tilted her head and looked at him, asking, "What is consummating the marriage?"

Mo Qi carried the little phoenix into the house: "You'll find out in a moment."

So, once inside the house, the little phoenix didn't come out until the next morning.

Jin Jin came to play with Little Phoenix, but couldn't get into the Floating Life Palace. She could only go to the Marriage Office to find the Old Man of the Moon.

"You mean the little phoenix and the emperor haven't come out of the house all day?" The matchmaker, who was flipping through the marriage book, paused slightly.

Jin Jin nodded and sat down to peel sunflower seeds, saying, "I didn't see Little Phoenix and the Emperor last night either."

The matchmaker, who had been tying the knot for centuries, soon understood.

He gripped the calligraphy brush and gritted his teeth, saying, "You big pig's trotter."

Jin Jin: "Who?"

"Your Majesty."

Jin Jin didn't respond to him, but flew over and looked down to see what he was writing.

"Jin Jin, go do me a favor," the Old Man of the Moon suddenly said mysteriously.

"What's up?"

“Go to the Five Kings of Hell and borrow the Book of Life and Death.” The Old Man of the Moon pondered for a moment. “Just say that the Emperor asked you to borrow it.”

Jinjin: "I'm not going, you're lying."

The Matchmaker God held up a finger: "Five years' worth of breakfast."

Jin Jin remained unmoved.

"ten years."

Jin Jin slightly lifted her small, beady eyes.

The Matchmaker: "One hundred years!"

Jin Jin: "It's a deal."
