Chapter 101: Met an Old Friend (2/2)

Chu Chenyin was frank and said with a smile: "Of course, we are husband and wife, so of course our relationship is getting better and better."

Fu Yanting didn't say anything, but silently took out a dagger he had just acquired some time ago and handed it to Fu Kanghong.

Fu Kanghong took it in his hand and said with a smile: "Brother, sister-in-law, you two take a rest first. I will think about this dagger first."

After saying this, he turned his body away.

Chu Chenyin looked at this, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, and turned sideways to look at Fu Yanting.

Fu Yanting placed the handkerchief in her palm, and when no one in the carriage was paying attention, he secretly held her hand, and then immediately took it back.

The carriage continued to move forward, and the locusts increased in number at a speed visible to the naked eye.

By the evening of the next day, they arrived at the first station.

In the past, they had never dared to stay at the inn because they were still labeled as traitors and fugitives.

Today is the first time.

When the carriage stopped at the gate, several disaster victims followed behind it.

Among them was an old man with a little girl.

As soon as Chu Chenyin got off the carriage, the little girl called out to her, "Sister! Sister!"

When she heard the voice, she turned around and saw that the grandfather and grandson looked familiar.

The little girl ran up to her, pulled her skirt and said with a smile, "Sister, it's me. You bought our cattle and sheep last time."

As Chu Chenyin listened, he suddenly remembered that it was the grandson who sold cattle and sheep whom he met in Youzhou City.

The old man walked over, bending over, and said with a smile, "Girl, I didn't expect to see you again. Thank you so much for meeting you last time."

"Thank me?" Chu Chenyin asked doubtfully.

The little girl tilted her head, squinted her big watery eyes and said, "Sister, you forgot that last time you bought our cattle and sheep, gave us a large sum of money, and asked us to buy more food."

"My grandpa listened to you and bought some food."

The old man continued, "We sold all the cattle and sheep, and there were more and more refugees in Youzhou City. I saw that the world was in chaos, so I took the child and the food and fled north. We happened to escape the earthquake."

The little girl laughed and said, "My grandpa said that if you hadn't bought our cattle and sheep, we would probably still be selling them on the street. Not only would we have no money to escape the famine, but we would also have been crushed by the house in an earthquake."
