Chapter 125 Killing the Shopkeeper Zhou (2/2)

When the old man saw them coming out, he asked quickly, "Did you save your sister?"

Chu Chenyin smiled and replied, "We saved her. We've already sent her away."

The old man's face was full of joy, as if his own daughter had also been rescued. His hands were trembling as he turned to look at the bracelet left by his daughter on the table.

Chu Chenyin took out a small bundle and placed it on the table, saying, "I heard from my sister that this thing was left for you by your daughter."

The old man was stunned. "Are you talking about my daughter?"

Chu Chenyin nodded. "My sister told me that your daughter had a good meal at Zhou's house for a few days before she died, and she even secretly hid some things for you."

The old man's eyes were startled and red, and tears were about to burst out.

Chu Chenyin patted his bag gently and said, "Old man, live well and don't let your daughter down."

The old man lowered his head and wiped his tears, "Thank you, young lady."

Chu Chenyin waved his hands and said, "You're welcome. We are just passing it on for your daughter."

After saying this, Chu Chenyin and Fu Yanting said goodbye to the old man together and turned around to leave.

Before leaving, Chu Chenyin stood at the door and turned back and said, "Master, the Zhou family is finished. I heard that Manager Zhou is alone at home now. If you want to go in, you can go in anytime."

The old man was startled, then thanked her again, "Thank you, young lady."

Chu Chenyin continued to walk outside, and this time he really left.

After they left, the old man was silent for a long time, then carefully opened the bundle on the table. Inside was a dagger, three large water bags, some dry food made of cornmeal, and a few ingots of gold from the Zhou mansion.

When the old man saw these things, he was shocked. These things were not given to him by his daughter. These were all given by the girl.

His hands were shaking with gratitude.

Outside the house, the wind and sand were blowing everywhere, and the cursing voice of the shopkeeper Zhou could be heard from inside the Zhou Mansion.

The old man in the house also heard it. This time he became unusually calm, and the tears no longer shed from his red eyes. Only murderous intent remained.

He took the dagger that Chu Chenyin gave him and walked slowly into the Zhou Mansion.

Not long after, the cursing of the shopkeeper Zhou in Zhou's mansion came to an abrupt end.

The old man carefully put the bloodstained dagger back into his pocket, then picked up his bag and set off for Mobei without looking back. This chapter has been read (please click the next chapter to continue reading!)
