After moving the front house, they went to the back house.
In the small courtyard at the back of the house, in addition to food, there are also cakes and pastries that the young ladies of the Bai family eat on a daily basis.
Chu Chenyin took a piece of osmanthus cake, took a bite, thought it tasted good, and moved them all into the space.
Fortunately, she has a storage space, so she can put these cakes in it and satisfy her cravings later.
After leaving the Bai Mansion, the two of them went to the Bai family's store.
The Bai family had more than ten shops, some selling rice, some selling rouge, and some selling cloth.
Chu Chenyin put all of the rice mixed with white sand into the space, except for the rice mixed with white sand. She also kept a box of rouge in her hand for use.
The rouge is orange-red and much better looking than the lipstick she bought before.
With the crow of a rooster, a purple glow appeared in the sky and the sun slowly rose.
Chu Chenyin and Fu Yanting returned home with great success.
After a busy night, the two of them fell on the bed, without caring about etiquette, and fell asleep under the same quilt.
As the sky grew brighter, a sharp cry gradually came from the Bai Mansion.
"Ah! My snuff bottle! My calligraphy and paintings! My pearwood imperial concubine armchair! My clothes!" Shopkeeper Zhang, wearing a white undershirt, stood at the door and shouted loudly.
His face was pale and his whole body was trembling, as if he was still in a dream.
"Master! Something bad has happened! Our house has been robbed!" The servants ran over together.
At this time, the wife of Shopkeeper Zhang also woke up. When she woke up, not only the jewelry on the dressing table, but even the fine silk quilt covering her body was gone.
"Master! There's a thief in the house! Master!"
The noisy shouts echoed in the mansion.
Shopkeeper Zhang returned to his room and searched through all the boxes and cabinets but couldn't find his clothes. He was ready to ask the servant to buy them with the silver, but he found that all the copper coins in his pocket and all the valuables in the room were gone.
With no other options, Zhang the shopkeeper could only bring his family along wearing servants' clothes.
Mrs. Zhang wiped her tears and said, "Master, what should we do? Everything in the house is gone, even the rice in the backyard is gone."
Manager Zhang was so angry that he lay on the couch and couldn't sit up. He pressed his aching head and said, "Don't worry, we've already gone to the warehouse to get the silver."
Mrs. Zhang sighed, "There are so many things in the house, worth a lot of money, sir, can you catch the thief?" This chapter has been read (please click the next chapter to continue reading!)
