Chapter 50: Meeting Mrs. Chu who became a beggar (2/2)

That night, Minister Chu got separated from his wife and daughter and went west to other places.

Mrs. Chu took her daughter and secretly boarded the boat, traveling by water to the outskirts of Youzhou City.

They were penniless and could only beg for a living. Unexpectedly, their little daughter was accidentally lost on the way.

Mrs. Chu had no choice but to beg alone outside Youzhou City. Now because of the fire stone, every household was in a panic and no one dared to give away their food.

She had passed through two villages without getting any food, so she came to Hualong Village hungry. Unexpectedly, the person who opened the door was the concubine whom she had tortured so much.

Chu Chenyin was very happy when she saw the ferocious Madam Chu in front of her. She originally thought that it would be too easy for her to be burned to death, but she didn't expect that she would actually come to her door on her own initiative.

"Isn't this Mrs. Chu? How did you become like this?" She raised her eyebrows slightly and smiled at Zhou.

Zhou's lips trembled slightly, "Great, so you and the Fu family are here!"

Chu Chenyin spread his hands and said, "Yes, Lord Fu and his family and I live here. Why?"

Zhou pointed at her, her eyes bulging with ferocity, and shouted angrily, "I will tell the emperor right now and have him arrest all of you and chop off your heads for public display!"

Chu Chenyin folded her arms and smiled faintly, "Madam Chu, is the emperor still alive? If he is, bring him out for a walk."

Now the entire imperial city is in ruins, the emperor has long been missing and is estimated to have turned into a pile of ashes.

Zhou was speechless for a moment, her hands were shaking violently, and her breathing became rapid, "You...you bastard! The bastard born of a bastard maid! You shall not die a good death!"

Chu Chenyin was most annoyed by women like this, so he would just raise his hand and slap them.

There was a snap.

Zhou was stunned. "You...you dare to hit me?!"

Chu Chenyin clapped his hands and blew into them, "Yeah, I don't dare to hit you. Your face is covered in dust, it's really dirty."

Zhou was so angry that her face turned blue. She turned around and saw a stone. She picked it up and was about to throw it at Chu Chenyin.

Chu Chenyin turned sideways towards her, raised his foot and kicked her hard in the stomach.

Zhou fell backwards suddenly and vomited out the little food left in her stomach.

Chu Chenyin raised his cold eyes and looked at her, "Mrs. Chu, you must be hungry, right? Come, I'll pour you something delicious."

After saying this, he turned and went into the house and brought a basin of water.

Zhou was half lying on the ground, looking at Chu Chenyin with hatred, "You bastard, you must have no good intentions!"

Chu Chenyin walked to her side and poured the water in the basin over her head.

Zhou shook her head and struggled, trying to stand up, but her abdomen hurt so much that she fell down every time she stood up. She drank several gulps of water in a row.

The water was slightly green and had a faint foul smell.

After all, Zhou was a pampered official's wife, and she thought the taste was not right, so she angrily said, "Chu Chenyin, what did you pour?" This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
