Fireflies slowly fly up in the watery night, like stars scattered in the night sky, like a dream.
Chu Chenyin had only seen such scenes as special effects on TV, and seeing it with his own eyes was truly shocking.
Perhaps because she had just drunk some wine, under the influence of such anger, Chu Chenyin's heart beat very fast. She turned her head to look at Fu Yanting.
Fu Yanting was seen with his hands folded, looking at the fireflies with a smile, as if he had known about this for a long time.
Chu Chenyin suddenly understood. Why was Fu Yanting so frightened when he saw those wolves just now? It turned out that he had been to this place before and just found an excuse to bring her here to see the fireflies.
A smile unconsciously appeared on her face. Although she felt that he had gone to a lot of trouble, she was still very happy and even a little touched.
There were more and more fireflies around, more and more, as if the whole mountain was about to be enveloped by dazzling stars.
Chu Chenyin suddenly swept away all the fatigue from so many days of running around, and couldn't help but reach out his hand and catch a firefly.
The firefly stayed on her fingertips for a moment, then flew away again.
"Three years ago, my second brother and I came here to pick Ganoderma lucidum. The fireflies at that time were the same as they are now." Fu Yanting's gaze slowly moved from the fireflies to Chu Chenyin's face. His deep and bright eyes looked at the starry sky and her profile, revealing a lot of tenderness.
When Chu Chenyin heard him say this, he felt that his guess had been confirmed, and he couldn't help but sigh that Fu Yanting was quite interesting.
A warm breeze blew.
The two of them sat together against the back wall, watching the fireflies flying in front of them, and before they knew it, they both felt a little sleepy.
Chu Chenyin just thought that the fruit wine with little concentration had taken effect, and he felt more and more that his body was useless.
When she lowered her eyes, she happened to see Fu Yanting's right hand hanging by his side.
His hands were big and thick, and they had grown thick tendons from years of wielding swords and guns.
Upon closer inspection, I discovered a bloodstain between his fingers.
Chu Chenyin felt a little distressed, and quickly grabbed his hand and asked, "When were you injured?"
Fu Yanting didn't care. "Maybe he got caught accidentally when catching rabbits. It's just a minor scratch, nothing serious."
"That won't do. If the wound is not treated properly, it will get infected and that will be bad." Chu Chenyin took out a few sterile cotton swabs and band-aids that she always kept at hand from her arms, and skillfully disinfected them for him and put on the band-aid.
The wound doesn't look big, but it's quite deep, and you can see the skin and flesh during disinfection.
However, Fu Yanting didn't even blink during the whole process, and just watched Chu Chenyin carefully treating the wound.
He had been killing enemies on the battlefield for many years and had suffered countless injuries, both major and minor. He no longer cared about such injuries, but Chu Chenyin was the first person in history to be so worried about him.
Especially the white fingertips that were touching the back of his hand bit by bit, making his heart beat along with them. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
