As Qiu Yang spoke, he reached out and pried his sister's hands apart from his waist.
But Qiuyue wouldn't let her, crossing her arms and tightening the rope as she said:
"Hey, you're my brother, what are you afraid of? I'm not hugging another man."
Qiu Yang thought of his younger sister's relationship with Liang Guoping and smiled:
"If you want to hug someone, go hug Liang Guoping, don't hug your brother."
Qiuyue felt as if she had been stung by a bee and immediately let go.
"Brother, what are you saying, Liang Guoping? I won't hug him. I have nothing to do with him."
As she spoke, she turned and stared into Qiu Yang's eyes with a mysterious smile:
"Hey, brother, let me ask you, have you ever hugged Su Xiaowei? Or kissed Su Xiaowei?"
Upon hearing this, Qiu Yang asked the question knowing the answer already.
"Qiuyue, who is Su Xiaowei?"
Qiuyue chuckled.
"Haha, bro, just keep pretending. You don't know who Su Xiaowei is? You two were walking hand in hand by the Huai River, enjoying the scenery, and you actually asked me who Su Xiaowei is? Believe me or not, I'll go to your workshop tomorrow and tell Su Xiaowei that you don't care about her at all, and you don't even know who she is!"
After saying that, fearing that her brother would beat her, she turned and slipped away.
Jiang Yuping knew about her daughter Qiuyue's relationship with Liang Guoping, but she hadn't heard that her son also had a girlfriend, so she looked up at Qiuyang.
"Son, when did you start dating?"
Qiu Yang didn't hide anything; he told his mother that they had been talking for almost half a year.
"Mom, I was planning to bring Su Xiaowei home today for a free meal so the whole family could meet her, but Dad refused. He said he had something to ask me to come home for today, which made me lose face in front of Su Xiaowei."
After hearing this, Jiang Yuping simply hummed in agreement and did not offer any further comment.
Qiu Yang then asked his mother:

"Why did your dad want to talk to you? You'll find out if you ask your dad. I have no idea what it's about."
Jiang Yuping didn't even glance at her son, Qiuyang.
Her tone wasn't as gentle as before, and she used a spatula to flip each of the four crucian carp over.
The crucian carp were fried in rapeseed oil until they were shiny and glistening, emitting a rich aroma.
Qiu Yang is already twenty-two years old.
Ever since his father called and told him to come home for dinner in a very forceful tone, he felt something was wrong, because his father, Qiu Jingwen, was not usually like that.
