Tit (II)

Tit (II)

From the look on the other side, I saw an extraordinary frustration, horror and anger.

Interesting, I thought to myself, if a normal person hears a patient who is suspected to be insane talking nonsense and almost had his eyes gouged out by this patient, shouldn’t the first reaction be to find me sick and get treatment?

"Those...those, where are they?"

The man asked somewhat hastily, avoiding the term "black spot" that I used casually.

It is said that when people face major setbacks, they will go through five stages: denial, anger, bargaining, frustration and final acceptance.

If he wasn't just bored and wanted to play a prank on me, then he must have experienced some terrible incident not long ago.

"Let's rule out the possibility that you are deliberately making me crazy, or that this is a fantasy caused by my schizophrenia..." I paused and asked him, "When did it happen?"

That windowsill, let's call him Taizai, showed an unbearable look on his face when he heard it.

"What do you mean by driving you crazy or your fantasy?" He looked like he wanted to yell, and he had goose bumps all over his body. "You are mentally ill!"

I looked at him calmly.

After a moment, Taizi brother calmed down a little and said reluctantly, "I'm sorry." Seeing me nod, he was also flexible and immediately confirmed, "Consultant, what do the round black spots you saw look like? How many are there? What are the dynamics?" His tone was very respectful.

I asked back: "When did you become like this?"

The atmosphere in the ward was very weird at this time. The fake Xu You and Taizi looked at each other unexpectedly, and no longer mentioned the urgency of time. They both fell into some kind of movement.

"Advisor, are you... willing to cooperate with us?" The fake Xu You asked strangely, as if he didn't expect that I would jump right into the discussion.

I was surprised: "I can guide you."

The fake Xu You's eyelids twitched, and he was still hesitating, but Taizi couldn't help but reply:

"It was on the day when the snow mountain collapsed. While the search and rescue was going on, I went to get the surveillance and recordings from the bus. When I came back, something went wrong."

After blurting out the words, he seemed to realize that he had said something wrong. His expression changed for a long time and he looked at me straight.

His words contain a lot of information.

First, he was present when the Zhang family searched and rescued, which meant that he was most likely one of Zhang's men. This was a very well-hidden traitor.

Second, I only knew that the bus belonged to the travel company, and it turned out that it had been secretly equipped with surveillance and recording equipment.

That's a bit tricky. When did they install the surveillance and recording system? Did Nian Ziqing and the driver, Lao Zhao, know about it? Who was they monitoring?

Also, if that's the case, they should have heard my two conversations with Nian Ziqing, including the part where Nian Ziqing was tricked by me at the last moment.

I seem to understand a little bit why they are so tolerant and cautious in their attitude towards me.

Since they dared to impersonate Xu You, they must be very familiar with many of Xu You's words and deeds, including his nonsense.

Add to that the nonsense that Nian Ziqing and I talked about, which involved superpowers, blood oaths, and poisonous flesh and blood, as well as Nian family secrets and inferences from the cave school, and the relationship between Xu You, the cheap second uncle, and the master's wife, an orthodox member of the Nian family.

In their eyes, I am now the only heir of the Zhang and Nian families, the second of the second generation, and the last high priest of the mysterious art of moving rats in the world.

Damn it, even though I’m a little crazy now, my face twitches slightly unconsciously. I thought to myself that I have fooled two more people. It’s so embarrassing and so unethical.

The two of them were unaware of my inner complaints. They looked at me expressionlessly for a long time and then glanced at each other.

Taizi gave a stiff smile and told him everything. He had witnessed me taking the rattan box, and also saw Zhang Tianyi taking the box away during the chaos.

While others were searching everywhere, he went to the broken wall where the box had fallen out and groped in the gaps in the wall. But he found nothing, only some debris left from the broken corners of the box.

Afterwards, he returned to the team with the surveillance footage from the bus and secretly sent out communications.

But for some reason, after the influence of the mouse migration subsided, the signal was still blocked for a long time in the town, and it was not until Zhang Tianyi left that it was gradually restored. This gave his companions the opportunity to find my whereabouts first and take me to the arranged venue in advance.

As I listened, I felt a little amused and confused, thinking that I had been unintentionally tricked by my own people.

The signal issue was my brother's fault, so let's not talk about it. The main places that Taizai came into contact with were the walls of a small building and a bus. If there was any chance of being infected, these two places were the most likely.

The pollution caused by murals of human faces, insect eggs or banyan trees in buses seems to have nothing to do with any "black spots".

Now there is only one question left: "Taizi, what does the black spot you see look like?"

He accepted the new nickname with a grim face, and took a deep breath with a hint of uncontrollable anxiety and confusion.

"——I don't know. They were just some black spots. There weren't many at first, and they were very small. They disappeared in a blink of an eye, just like floaters."

However, during the time when he and the fake Xu You were waiting for me to wake up from the hospital bed, those small black dots that only he could see were silently getting bigger and clearer as time passed, and even the time they could stay in the field of vision was getting longer and longer.

At first, Taizi didn't take it too seriously, thinking it was just a mild case of snow blindness caused by the melting snow and the collapse of the sky. But after casually asking the fake Xu You and other guys, he felt an indescribable creepiness.

Only he can see it.

In his description, the black spots had expanded to the size of tits, were less regular, and had no other harmful changes.

But he just couldn't identify and point out where these black spots were. They seemed to be suspended in the air around his body in an unmatched manner.

Taizi also observed and summarized the distribution of these black spots, but still did not gain any useful results.

Hearing this, I was a little confused.

If this is some kind of eye disease or neurological disorder, then I should have the same symptoms as him. But in my field of vision, I can see black spots around him. Why are those black spots that are getting bigger and bigger only circling around him? Why do they only appear around him?

Moreover, it seemed to me that those round black spots were one with him and were distributed almost in a flat surface, rather than being scattered around him.

From my perspective and understanding, it's like...

It's like a photo that was not fully exposed and has some pixels that have not been erased.

A strange chill suddenly rose in my heart.

"Have you ever thought about drawing all the black spots in your eyes and taking a look at them?" I don't know why, but I almost shuddered, feeling that something terrible had happened and it was irreversible.

I have seen similar situations in my dreams, but I just didn't connect the two together at all.

Taizi suddenly stopped talking.

In the stagnant silence, he seemed to vaguely remember something, and slowly looked at me. The moment his eyes leveled with mine, his expression became extremely weird and sinister.

I froze in place without moving, and almost instinctively picked up the fruit knife that I had squeezed until it was sweaty, and pulled it out and held it across my body.

The fake Xu You was startled, took two steps towards me, and tried to grab the knife: "What are you doing!"

Before he could finish his words, he froze when he inadvertently saw the reflection of the knife. He mechanically turned his head to look at Taizi and was completely terrified.

"He... this... the knife..."

The fake Xu You was stuck for a long time and couldn't say anything. Suddenly he cursed and almost uncontrollably picked up the empty fruit basket at the bedside and smashed it over.

The fruit basket hit the wall, rolled down and slid away, leaving a small black hole on the surface of the table.

I broke out in a cold sweat.

The reflection on the knife and the wall was indeed Taizi, but only a thin layer of him was left, which was now stuck to the wall. Therefore, during the conversation with me, he remained motionless and did not come close to me at all.

The windowsill was indeed sealed, but the platform was stuck to the windowsill.

My slow and confused cognition finally realized through his outline, color, and muscle direction:

He, he was a man who was completely crushed by something heavy.

Two of those round, expanding black spots were indeed his eyes fixed in his facial bones.

On the other hand, if he could draw it on paper as he was told, he would find corpse spots and blood holes oozing out from the body surface.

There was nothing wrong with my vision. The ones who couldn't see clearly and didn't realize anything was wrong were the fake Xu You and Taizi himself.

That's a bunch of circles.

Moreover, those blood holes were very deep, as if giving the thin body of the table an incomprehensible thickness.

There were many tiny pieces of glass inside, reflecting very small human faces.

I couldn't tell the difference, so I could only ask the fake Xu You beside me with a hoarse voice:

"You... brought back a corpse that has been following you?"

"What do those faces look like? Are they the same as Tai Tsai himself?"

The fake Xu You suddenly turned his head to look at me, his forehead covered in cold sweat, and his expression looked a little hideous because of excessive fear.

He did not answer my question, but murmured:

"I remember... he... he was in a hurry to dig the wall where the box was in the ruins of the small building. But, the nearby magma spread, the groundwater erupted again, and the small building collapsed again. He was under the wall at that time..."

As he spoke, his expression changed faster and faster. Suddenly he stopped talking and slowly looked at me.

I swallowed my sore throat and took a step back.

The fake Xu You reached out and peeled off the table, as if trying to roll it up.

But his movements were very strange. He was staring at me the whole time, but his body and arms kept moving. Then I heard the sound of "Tai Zai" coming out of his mouth, and it was exactly the same as mine.

He said: "——Draw these black spots, then what? Consultant?"

His tone was very confused, as if he had no idea how much had happened in that moment.

"..." My calves felt weak for the first time in a long time, and for a moment I didn't know what to say.

Damn, my perception was correct all along. There was really only one outsider in the room from the beginning. It was this fake Xu You who played two roles, sometimes pinching his throat to switch the way he addressed me, speaking as two people!

Taizai, Taizai was just kept on the windowsill by him, and he would interact with him from time to time.

But as I stared at the windowsill for a long time, because he was no longer human, I couldn't identify what this layer was. I could only observe the decay changes on his body.

As the decay spread to the size of a titmouse, the expanding gases inside the corpse began to make a hissing sound that I mistook for the scraping call of some kind of cuckoo.

I stared at it for too long, which caused the fake Xu You to react, so he strode back to my bedside, checked with me, and asked me with some concern: "What's outside the window? You keep looking at it."

And I pointed at the layer of corpses and told him unconsciously that I saw the black spots on it, and even walked over and almost touched an eyeball on the corpse.

Then the man grabbed my arm and shouted at me.

In the face of my true helplessness, he softened his expression and asked again with concern: "What did you see?" Then he held his breath and waited for my answer gloomily.

My symptoms were not that severe at all and he was trying to mislead me.

I'm just face-blind, I'm not crazy.

In this ward, the person who is crazy is the one in front of me.
