Unexpected clues

Unexpected clues

My impression of Sanyi as an adult is actually extremely unfamiliar and vague.

For so many years, we were thousands of miles apart, and the only contact between us was the anonymous birthday gifts and letters that were sent to me on time every year. Now it seems that they were probably sent by Zhang Tianyi on his behalf.

After these days, all the warm memories and sense of security brought by childhood have mistakenly overlapped with Zhang Tianyi in front of him, and there is no way to separate them.

I even have to admit that even now I still habitually call the person in front of me Zhang Tianyi, and my blood brother Sanyi.

Why did the relationship of the past years, one of estrangement and dislocation, the other of indifference and resentment, turn out like this?

I was so confused that I subconsciously said wait a minute, let me think about it.

It was quiet all around, and no one spoke. The broker obviously hadn't heard about the subsequent inside stories, and he looked at me silently with a frown.

It was over. I was stunned for a moment before realizing that everyone present who knew the situation had said everything they wanted to say.

The last second, I was still feeling breathless from the constant information I was given, and I was dizzy in the face of the shocking facts.

Now it came to an abrupt end. I couldn't help but look around and ask:

"…Anyone else have anything else to say?"

I felt like I was being split in two.

Half of me kept thinking about whether Pingping had already noticed something when she asked to be hospitalized, whether she deliberately wanted to die, and what made her give up hope of survival and remain silent.

Where did her understanding and hints about ghost stories come from? Is there a third person in the dark that I can't see who explained the endless darkness of the ghost stories to her and extinguished her will to live?

The other half was saying to himself, what should I do if Sanyi is really dead? There must be some hidden reason for his hatred towards me, some unexpected event that I don't know about.

And, Zhang Tianyi. I owe this man many lives, how can I pay him back? If he kills my brother, how can I collect the debt for Sanyi?

They are all my closest relatives. My sister passed away and my brothers killed each other. I cannot escape from these problems, and I can't pretend I am not aware of them.

The more I thought about it, the more anxious I became, as if someone was counting down in my ears and urging me to die. I couldn't help sweating profusely.

There was a movement behind him, and Xu You had already stood up.

I subconsciously turned around to look at him, not knowing what he was going to do, but he looked at me deeply, grinned, and said:

"Disciple, if a person is too soft-hearted and wants to have both friendship and loyalty, he will have no choice but to learn from the hero Qiao Feng and commit suicide. Good people don't live long."

"Why don't I do it?"

This sentence was full of harsh bloody flavor. I was stunned for a moment, my hair stood on end, and I immediately understood what he was going to do. I immediately turned my head and yelled to get out of the way. Almost at the same time, the red dots that had disappeared reappeared and all exploded on Zhang Tianyi's body.

The sniper explosion lasted only a moment. My soul was scared out of my wits and I screamed in the sharp buzzing sounds that suddenly merged into one, my heart filled with despair.

But at the same time, there were sudden cracking sounds under my feet. My feet went soft and the floor suddenly collapsed rapidly. There was another cracking sound and a bang, and smoke rose up. All of us were caught off guard and rolled down like dumplings as the floor collapsed.

The fall was not a big deal. I couldn't see anything in the smoke and dust. I was so dizzy that I landed on a guy who rushed over to grab me. Although I was cushioned a little, my mind went blank and I almost fainted.

In a panic, I just tried to hold Dongzai tightly to prevent him from falling out, and then I heard coughing all around me. My mouth was full of sand and dust, and I spat a few times before I staggered to my feet.

Looking closely, we found that we had fallen from the third-floor ward to the second floor. There was a huge hole in the ceiling above our heads, with only a few remnants hanging on the wall.

A few guys who were quick to react and were standing close to the wall were still up there, clinging to the corners like geckos, looking down and shouting:

"Captain, instructor, are you okay?"

He asked me if I could still move.

Looking again, Zhang Tianyi had disappeared in the chaos.

I don't know when he tampered with the floor, but I think he has been in this ward for so long after all. Given his habit of being radical in everything but always leaving a way out, he would not just sit there and wait for death, so this doesn't seem surprising.

I was stunned for a moment, and I couldn't tell whether I was happy or sad when I felt relieved.

Just at this moment, to my surprise, there was another scream from the corner.

It was the guy who had rushed back with the broker. He was just getting up from the ground, and it turned out that he had empty hands. The thick record files from the Foghorn Town Hospital that he had just held in his hands were all gone.

We were still covered in dust and looked at each other for a while. After a while, the guy murmured "Mom" and said that he had suffered a huge loss this time. He not only lost the person but also the information. He had never seen such a coward.

I could tell from his tone that he actually wanted to scold me, but after looking at me, he probably thought it was easy to hurt someone by mistake, so he shrank his neck and laughed dryly to make amends:

"At least Captain Yan's shot hit the target, and there's even a pool of blood. So it's not a disastrous defeat."

This guy looked unfamiliar and not very old. He was probably just brought out. After he finished speaking, he looked at me repeatedly. When he saw that I had no expression, he seemed to realize that he had said something wrong again, and suddenly became a little hesitant.

I didn't mean to blame him, but I felt numb all over after the sudden fall, and my eyes were full of sand and dust. When I blinked hard, my eyes felt sore and I almost cried.

My eyelids felt sore for a long time as if they were cramping. I wiped the coldness off my face expressionlessly, called the boy over and asked him if he had a backup of the file.

The guy shook his head and said, "I rushed back and it's still hot. How can I make it in time?"

At this time, team leader Zhang Jia had also recovered. He directed the men to clean up the fallen beds and other debris. He came over, sighed, and patted my shoulder.

I then realized that Xu You had opened the door silently and walked out to the corridor without looking back, as if he was not too surprised by what had just happened.

To be honest, even I didn't expect that Xu You would suddenly cut the Gordian knot for me and break the stalemate.

When did I become so weak that I asked people who care about me to be the bad guy for me?

I shook my head in self-mockery, took a step after him, and shouted at him, "What if we kill the wrong person by mistake?"

"I'll pay you with my life!" Xu You cursed in a rough voice, very unhappy, "I owe you half of my life!"

"I mean, I still have to take care of you in your old age! Why are you showing off when you are middle-aged? You've become a stubborn old man before you even reach your age! And you can't beat my brother!"

Xu You paused and turned to look at me.

"I have the temper of a robber, and I like to have both friendship and righteousness." I have figured it out, and smiled at him, "Everyone spoils me, can't I be a little greedy? No matter what happens, as long as I can still breathe, I will keep going."

I sincerely thanked him, apologized, and asked him to come back. I am a layman, I don't need any bloody gloves to bear the dirty things for me, or to pretend to be a saint with clean hands, I just need a second uncle who likes to scold me.

Xu You stood there for a while, then suddenly muttered something pretentious, turned around twice on the spot, came over and gave me a chestnut.

I cried out in pain and held my head, then saw him about to leave again, wondering what he was doing.

"Since you are so determined to find out what that guy is up to, you should do it as soon as possible." Xu You said, "Don't blame me for not warning you. I think the thing he wants to hide from you must be very big, which is why he doesn't hesitate to throw out two such heavy old stories to knock you out."

I stopped smiling and said seriously, "I know."

Xu You still shook his head: "He has already let you see with your own eyes the fate of the false people and the prophets. You should understand that there are some truths that you can never touch. If you touch them, you will be broken and bloody."

"Disciple, are you not frightened yet?"

Are you afraid? Yes.

I touched my chest and thought to myself that not only was I terrified, I was almost certain that if Zhang Tianyi was willing to hide something from me at all costs, it was most likely that in that matter, I would be like a false man or a prophet, and become the careless Bi Gan, who would die in despair if I was exposed.

Looking back at Nian Ziqing, Taizi, and the missing Sanyi, people who are obsessed with fate to the point of madness are courting death. I have seen these bloody warnings time and time again.

But I won't give in.

People say that if you hear the truth in the morning, you can die in the evening. No matter how sad the answer to the mystery is, as long as it is true, I can bear it.

Seeing that I would not turn back until I hit the wall, Xu You seemed to be used to it. He kicked me angrily and said, "Well, you are the young master and you have the final say. I said I owed you my life, and at worst, I will pay you back."

The two of them were talking, and I thought about it for a moment and discussed the business with him:

"What do you think Zhang Tianyi will do with those records? Where will he go?"

Xu You suddenly laughed, pointed behind me and said that the answer might be here.

I turned around hurriedly and saw the young man coming towards me with a sad face. He made a very strange gesture, with his two hands hanging in the air, as if he was not sure whether to let go. He was so nervous that he could not open his eyes.

"What's wrong?" I was surprised. I saw that he didn't have any missing limbs or any changes on his body. "Did he get stung by a wasp?"

The young man stammered and couldn't say anything. Gao Liu, who was standing next to him, came over, looked him up and down, and said calmly: "It's okay, there seems to be something in his clothes."

Gao Liu said it lightly, but when the young man and I looked at each other, my scalp went numb.

Damn, what do you mean there is something in the clothes? Could it be that that bastard Zhang Tianyi has really turned evil and took the opportunity to do something vicious? No way.

Gao Liu was protected by the remaining comb jellyfish and recovered from his injuries very quickly. He was not too afraid. He said, "Back off," and when he saw us retreating cautiously, he reached out and grabbed the young man's coat and shook it.

With a beep, an old walkie-talkie fell from his body, rolled twice on the ground, and landed at my feet.

I was stunned and picked up the walkie-talkie. The more I looked at it, the more familiar it looked.

This, this thing seems to be something I saved at the risk of my life from the wall of the platform building. It is placed in that mysterious rattan box, but at first glance you can't tell what it is.

Later it was said that Zhang Tianyi took it away during the chaos. I thought it made no difference if he took it and I took it, so I just forgot about it and didn't ask any questions.

Now holding the walkie-talkie, I put it close to my eyes and looked left and right, and found that it was very similar to the one that Taizi stuffed into the human skin at the beginning. Not only was the style the same, but the rigid beeping sound also sounded the same.

The boy lying on my shoulder yelled and slapped my hand.

I didn't expect the little fat cat to have this reaction. My hand shook and the walkie-talkie fell. This time the walkie-talkie rolled twice on the ground, and then it couldn't bear the humiliation and broke into two pieces.
