The dagger fell to the ground, dripping with blood, while the wound on his chest visibly healed.
Terrified, the man in leather armor pulled a crucifix from his clothes, held it up, and shouted, "You are not human! You are a monster! The posthumous child of the devil! Father, save me!"
The wolf-faced man walked up to the man, knocked the crucifix from his hand, grabbed him by the collar, and lifted him into the air. A piercing sound, like steel scraping against steel, echoed above the trees: "You indiscriminate bandits who slaughter innocent people, how dare you brazenly ask for the Father's protection?!"
Grabbing the other person's head, with a twist of the hands, the sound of bones breaking instantly rang out, sending chills down one's spine.
Dropping the corpse in his hand, the wolf-faced man turned around and looked at the bodies lying haphazardly in the woods.
Some bandits fell into spike traps, some were pierced through the heart by arrows, and some were cut in half alive.
As the wolf-faced man approached the convoy of mule carts and handcarts, he glanced at the kneeling crowd. Faced with this scene of carnage, the people dared not look a second longer; their faces were deathly pale, their bodies trembled like leaves, and they dared not utter a sound.
He found a man who seemed to be in charge: "Where are you going?"
"Mu...Muxi Town..."
The wolf-faced man raised his hand and pointed west: "Just follow this road, and you'll see the town in less than a day."
