After discussing some details, Todd watched the two disappear through the front door, pulled out a few sheets of white paper from the table, and began to write furiously. Before he had even filled a page, there was a knock at the front door.

As Ulysses finished speaking, he felt a sudden pang of regret: "I must be crazy to be talking about these things with the Grand Master of the Knights of the Church."
Todd remained silent for a while, then suddenly blurted out a sentence that left everyone speechless.
