Todd glanced at Cumberland: "Defense doesn't seem to be your style?"

Faced with the king's teasing, the old knight laughed: "When facing an unknown enemy, remaining steadfast and responding to each move is actually the best strategy."

"Unknown?" Todd thought for a moment. "You mean war beasts and wizards?"

Cumberland nodded and said, "May God bless that those things have been lost to the annals of barbarian history and never reappear."

Brunhilde suddenly asked, "And what about us?"

Cumberland picked up a branch and drew a winding line north of the fortress, saying loudly, "North of the North Stone Mine, in the Starry Mountains, there is a path used by monks to gather herbs. I hope the Knights of the North Island can use this path to infiltrate the rear of the allied forces."

Todd turned his gaze to the 'line' and asked, "Weaving in from the rear? Where does this path ultimately lead?"

With the end of a branch, Cumberland drew an 'X' shape in the distance and slowly said, "Silver Ring City."

After concluding his meeting with the commanders of the two legions at the training ground, Todd returned to the Grand Commander's office and began a busy day of work.

A knock sounded at the door, and a servant from the regiment placed a stack of newly compiled documents on the table in front of the king.

An invitation with a gold-embossed cover caught the latter's attention in the document.

"The Twilight Pilgrimage Banquet? What's that?" Todd asked the servant with a puzzled look at the cover of the invitation.

"Your Majesty, recently many nobles have fled the Silver Ring Kingdom, taking their wealth and families with them to the Twilight Kingdom. In three days, these surrendered nobles plan to hold a grand banquet at their manor outside the city. They have named this banquet the 'Twilight Pilgrimage Banquet,' saying that they hope to see the legendary Holy Son and fulfill their pilgrimage wish."

Intrigued, Todd smiled and opened the invitation, ignoring the sycophantic words inside and focusing his attention on the signature at the bottom of the letter.

"There are quite a few nobles who have issued this joint invitation. Let me see... Marquis Howells, Viscount Hornby, Count Karami, Baron Zakarajas, Viscount Zangner..."
