The garrison commander, whose body had been taken from him, drew his longsword and walked step by step toward the army of Muxi City.
The soldiers looked at their commander, who seemed like a completely different person, and were momentarily at a loss for what to do.
A panicked Rachel shouted to the crowd, "That girl is a demon! This man's soul has been possessed by her! Pick up your weapons!"
“Ratchet, you never dared to yell at me like this before. It seems your courage has greatly improved.” Sabrina, in the voice of a garrison commander, mocked their past acquaintance.
Rachel took a half step back, then stood still, gritted her teeth, and used her 'telekinesis' to lift a boulder half the height of a person and smash it towards the possessed commander.
Sabrina twisted her neck, flicked her wrist in a sword flourish, and nimbly moved a few steps to dodge the flying boulder.
Holding her longsword horizontally across her chest, she spoke in a deep, masculine voice, yet with a woman's tone: "My dear sister, you've never treated me like this in the legion. Such heartless treatment is truly heartbreaking."
Sabrina suddenly exerted force with her right heel, and her whole body shot straight toward Rachel like an arrow released from a bow.
With a flick of his longsword, the sword flashed and the soldiers and aliens blocking his path were all decapitated.
"Surround her!"
Finally realizing what was happening, the people picked up their weapons and surrounded the possessed person in layers.
Sabrina, in a frenzied state, completely abandoned defense, and every move she made was aimed at killing the enemy. The pain from her wounds was more like a source of pleasure for her.
Taking advantage of an enemy's momentary lapse in sword strike, a melee inheritor plunged a blade into the enemy's back.
Sabrina felt the cold metal pierce her heart, a look of joy on her face. After taking her last breath, blood gushed from the wound, climbing up the attacker's arm along with his weapon.
The melee inheritor tried to shake off the worm-like "blood threads," but could only watch helplessly as the foreign object burrowed into his skin, crawling along his bones and blood vessels into his brain. The next second, the victim found his consciousness drifting further and further away, eventually plunging into endless darkness.
Having regained a much stronger body, Sabrina stretched her limbs, ignoring the astonished and fearful expressions of those around her, and exclaimed with delight, "Is this the legendary successor of the Kingdom of Twilight? 'Regeneration,' 'Strength Enhancement,' 'Perception,' 'Pain Barrier,' and 'Metallic Skin'... This is simply amazing!"
Seeing that Sabrina had taken control of the successor's body, Rachel used her telekinesis to control a spear that had fallen to the ground, and while the other was distracted, she hurled it with all her might toward her heart.
Hearing the sound of wind cutting through her ears, Sabrina smiled and leaned her body slightly, causing the spear's attack to miss its mark and ultimately embed itself in her shoulder.
Sabrina slowly pulled the spear out and tossed it to the ground. Watching the wound on her shoulder heal, she smiled at Rachel and said, "My dear sister, why the rush to die? I haven't had enough fun yet..."
Sabrina propelled her melee inheritor's body toward Rachel, and those who tried to stop her were powerless to slow her down. Blood splattered across the land, and corpses lay strewn across the wilderness.
Seeing the unstoppable Sabrina leaping towards her head, Rachel, pale-faced, used her mental power to raise a shield in front of her, hoping to defend against the enemy's attack.
With a full swing of her greatsword, Sabrina used the power of her successor and the momentum of her fall to cleave through the thick shield and force Rachel to sit on the ground.
Raising her sword once more, Sabrina's eyes were filled with nothing but savagery and cruelty: "Farewell, my sister."
bite.
A crisp sound.
A slender sword came from the side, its tip striking the heir's blade precisely, deflecting the fatal attack.
Sabrina sheathed her sword and turned to look for the troublesome fellow.
With her petite and delicate body, her white robe stained with dirt, and her long, pale gold hair shimmering in the sunlight, Knight Dion walked up to the attacker and shielded the complex-looking Rachel with his body.
Sabrina observed the other person's sword-wielding posture and gait, abandoning her frivolous demeanor, and for the first time, a serious expression appeared on her face: "Interesting."

Todd gradually regained consciousness.
He stood up from the ground and looked around, uneasily observing the strange sights around him.
A thick fog enveloped the earth; there was no sun or moon in the sky. In the distance, a medieval castle slowly "moved" toward him.
The castle was built in a cemetery, and the quiet night added a touch of mystery and eeriness to this peculiar building.
"King of Twilight, welcome to the world of souls."
A familiar voice made Todd frown.
Clarence, dressed in aristocratic attire, pushed open the castle gate, looked at Todd standing at the door, and smiled with open arms.
Todd reached out and touched the tombstone beside him. It was cold to the touch, yet had an unreal, surreal quality to it. He repeated the strange phrase: "The world of souls?"
“To be precise, this is my soul world. Everything here is built upon my perception and personality.” Clarence tapped his temple lightly with his fingers. “Our bodies remain outside, but our minds are connected by the power of ‘soul link’.”
With the gates wide open, revealing the castle hall, Clarence snapped his fingers, and Todd was instantly propelled into the castle by a tremendous force, sitting directly on a chair in the hall.
