Chapter 211 The Abyss (Part Six)

The shell traced a graceful arc through the air, landing precisely between the giant's eyes and causing a violent explosion.

Blood and flesh splattered, bones shattered.

Clarence dropped Todd, clutched his forehead, and screamed, "What the hell is this?!"

A self-propelled artillery piece made of cast steel, with the Stars and Stripes emblem painted on its side, slowly drove into this world through the black hole, accompanied by the roar of its diesel engine.

Blood gushed out like a fountain, soaking the giant's upper body. Clarence stared at the strange 'steel behemoth' for a full five seconds, then, as if waking from a dream, roared at Todd, "Only things that actually exist in the world can appear in this space! How... how could this steel monster possibly exist?!"

"The T92 self-propelled howitzer... Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist." Todd landed on the roof of the self-propelled howitzer from mid-air, tapped the steel plate under his feet, and said with a smile, "Regarding the soul world you mentioned, I've come to understand its operating principles to some extent. In that case, I still have a lot I'd like you to see."

The T92 deflected its gun barrel and roared again, firing another high-explosive shell that struck the giant's right arm, blasting it in two.

"Ah!!!" Clarence clutched his wounded arm and collapsed to the ground. After the initial shock, he began to fight back.

The giant grabbed the ground with his left hand and threw a huge round stone, about two meters in diameter, at the self-propelled artillery.

Seeing that he couldn't dodge in time, Todd jumped off the hood of the T92, did a forward roll to avoid the heavy impact of the boulder, but the self-propelled gun was smashed into scrap metal by the rock.

"Hahaha! It's just a tin box toy!" The giant got up from the ground, and his damaged head and right arm began to slowly regenerate. He then grabbed another boulder in his hand.

Todd looked at the size of the black hole behind him, tilted his head and thought for a moment, then his eyes suddenly lit up: "I remember now, there's something good that you'll definitely like!"

A few seconds later.

A bright 'star' emerged from the black hole and rose to the top of the giant's head.

Clarence slowly put down the boulder in his hand, looked up at the twinkling star in the sky, and a bad premonition suddenly arose in his heart.

When the "star" reached its highest point, it paused briefly before suddenly exploding, its debris turning into countless bright and dazzling fragments that fell to the ground.

These fragments, like shooting stars with trails of smoke, fell onto the giant's skin and wounds.

Yellow flames, accompanied by thick smoke, rose up from Clarence's entire body.

This strange flame burned relentlessly, first penetrating the skin, then the nerves, and finally the bones. No matter how much the victim rolled and thrashed, the fire could not be reduced in the slightest.

The giant let out an unprecedented, miserable howl, sounding like a wild beast tied to a tree being skinned and gutted alive by a hunter.

"Gods above! Purgatory! I am in Purgatory!" Clarence knelt on the ground, the giant's figure slowly fading away, revealing his true form. He waved his arm, and countless figures appeared at the edge of the thick fog.

Seventeen legion formations marched in perfect unison from afar. The sheer number of tens of thousands of soldiers on the march caused the wind and clouds to change color and the earth to tremble slightly. Standard bearers held aloft the golden scepter of the Taro eagle, while the phalanx soldiers wielded tower shields and iron spears. Archers drew arrows from their quivers. The most powerful Taro Empire of a thousand years ago displayed its magnificent military might to all.

Like a ghoul just crawled out of its grave, Clarence's body was covered in broken skin; his nose had been burned away, his mouth was reduced to teeth, and one eyeball was hanging out of its socket.

His voice sounded angry, confused, and resentful: "Behind me lies the military might of the Taro Empire at its peak! In this world, no force can rival it!"

Todd shrugged: "That might be true, but your world is as insignificant to me as a grain of sand on a beach."

The black hole has changed again, like ripples appearing on a calm pond.

Clarence heard a voice.

The sound originated from a black hole, gradually amplifying as it approached. It sounded like a group of people holding wind-breaking whistles, puffing out their cheeks and blowing hard.

After a while, the low, shrill whistling sound grew louder and louder, like a roar from hell, threatening to drag the whole world into an endless abyss.

Finally, a massive "steel bird" burst out of the black hole and soared into the sky. Upon closer inspection, it was a Junkers Ju 87 dive bomber, with its seagull-like double-curved wings, fixed landing gear, and distinctive head-mounted sound-emitting device clearly visible.

As they drew nearer, the second, the third... 42 dive bombers, also known as Stukas, entered the battlefield in formation.

Clarence looked at the enormous figures in the sky, his arms hanging limply at his sides, muttering to himself, "This is impossible... What am I seeing? These things can't possibly exist!"

The bomber squadron deployed and swooped down on the ground troops. Once they reached bombing altitude, they opened the bomb bay doors.

Countless "Devil's Eggs" (SD-2 spherical bombs) rained down on the earth. These special bombs, each weighing 2 kilograms, detonated automatically a few meters above the ground, with a kill radius of 12 meters. They scattered 50 large fragments and 250 small fragments, causing extremely strong damage to human bodies and lightly armored units.

The earth was covered in fire and shrapnel, small mushroom clouds of explosions rose from the ground, and massive storms of steel swept through the legion. Human bodies shattered, splashed, and vanished like waves in the ocean; the eagle on the scepter turned to ashes and disappeared into the smoke without a trace.
