This so-called "external stimulus" is actually the neural instructions of the parasite's host—the human.
When a host puts on the keel parasite, the instructions in the brain are transmitted to the parasite through the spine hooks of the keel. The parasite will then switch the part of its evolutionary form according to the host's neuronal signals.
At this point in the experiment, Todd discovered a completely new and creative way to use the Tyrant Virus: turning the parasite into "Tyrant equipment".
This discovery could allow the strength of the Kingdom's successor army to increase exponentially.
For example, the Dragonbone Parasite can not only be paired with the "Enhanced Regeneration Ability," but it can also be paired with the "Enhanced Metal Skin Ability" to create the "Heavy Metal Dragonbone." The metallized parasite limbs can effectively enhance the parasite's defensive capabilities and also make the combination options for the "Tyrant Equipment" more diverse.
For example, the Dragon Bone Parasite can be combined with the "Enhanced Flame Breath Ability" to create the "Flame Breath Dragon Bone." Tyrant Successors using this combination will switch from melee attacks to ranged fire-breathing attacks. Scorching flames can be "shot" outwards through the parasite's secretory glands in the palm, with a "range" of up to ten meters.
Besides these, the Dragon Bone Parasite can be combined with the "Enhanced Weakness Ability" to form the "Venomous Dragon Bone"; with the "Enhanced Speed Ability" to form the "Flash Dragon Bone"; with the "Enhanced Acidity Ability" to form the "Strong Acid Dragon Bone"; and with the "Enhanced Freezing Ability" to form the "Frost Dragon Bone"...
With so many options, Todd began to consider whether he could inject all the supernatural bacteria into a set of "Dragonbone Parasites" to create a "Tyrant Dragonbone" capable of using all enhanced supernatural abilities. However, this attempt ultimately failed.
The fundamental reason for the failure lies in the fact that the total number of functional mutant bacteria within the parasite is fixed; mutant bacteria exceeding the capacity limit will be expelled from the parasite. Moreover, the types of mutant bacteria within the parasite and the mutant power of the 'Tyrant Dragon Bone' are inversely proportional; that is, the more types of mutant bacteria, the lower the mutant power released by the 'Tyrant Dragon Bone'; and the fewer types of mutant bacteria, the higher the mutant power released by the 'Tyrant Dragon Bone'.
Is it a bit complicated to understand?
Using real-world examples will make it more intuitive.
If only "Enhanced Regeneration Bacteria" is added to the Dragon Bone Parasite, the deformation and growth rate of the parasite's limbs will reach their fastest. However, if "Enhanced Flame Breath Bacteria" and "Enhanced Weakness Bacteria" are added, although the Dragon Bone Parasite can use all three abilities simultaneously—Enhanced Regeneration, Enhanced Flame Breath, and Enhanced Weakness—the deformation and growth rate of the parasite's limbs will be greatly reduced, and the use of the other two abilities will be far less effective than injecting only a single type of bacteria.
Therefore, after Todd's repeated testing, the optimal number of types of supernatural bacteria that the 'Tyrant Dragon Bone' can accommodate is two, and at most no more than three.
After completing the above experiments, Todd began writing down the conclusions of the experiments in his notebook, word by word.
I. Keel bone parasites can undergo mutations caused by archaea, and the morphology of the mutated organisms is directly related to the type of mutant bacteria. (For example, regenerative mutant bacteria can cause rapid growth and deformation of the keel bone.)
Second, the mutated dragon bone parasite can be restored to its normal form using the Tyrant Virus.
Third, the tyrant-like dragon bone parasite can switch to an evolved form and use enhanced bacterial abilities.
Fourth, the host of the dragon bone can send neuronal commands to the parasite through the neural link between the two, thereby freely switching the form of the parasite and using the enhanced abilities within the parasite.
5. To maximize the effects of the Tyrant Dragon Bone's powers, the number of types of power-enhancing bacteria injected into the parasite should be limited to two or three. (Todd: As the successor to the Tyrant, I possess over a dozen enhanced powers. If the useless enhanced powers could be removed, and the types of powers within my body streamlined, would it also enhance the strength of my powers, like the Dragon Bone?)
6. Currently, only the Tyrant transformation of the Dragon Bone Parasite has been tested; other parasites have not yet been explored. (Todd: Parasites with relatively high experimental potential include the Hive Parasite, the Tesla Parasite, and the Berserk Parasite. After these parasites are transformed into Tyrants, will they, when combined with different types of enhanced abilities, create a creative effect?)
