Chapter 333 Northern Hegemony (Part 7)

A helpless Todd gestured to Rachel.

The latter used his "telekinesis" to bring these leaders to Todd and help them complete their soul link.

After completing these preparations, Todd closed his eyes and led everyone in the hall into the Golden Palace.

When the tribal chiefs regained consciousness, they were so terrified by the magnificent scene before them that they forgot to breathe.

A magnificent golden palace, countless luxurious decorations, and intricate and beautiful epic murals.

"Am I dreaming?" Someone pinched his thigh hard, and the pain gave him the best answer.

Someone walked to the window, pointed at the scenery outside, and shouted, "Look outside!"

A river shrouded in mist, a magnificent palace—a few already had the answer in their hearts, but the answer was too shocking to be spoken aloud.

"This is the Golden Palace of Asgard." Todd, in his Tyrant form, walked into the palace, and the earth shook with every step he took.

"How is this possible?! Both Asgard and the Golden Palace should have been destroyed in Ragnarok!"

Todd sat cross-legged before the golden throne, his voice booming like thunder: "As Ragnarok approached, the gods of Asgard safely sent a group of their descendants away from the battlefield before the final battle. After the end of the war, these descendants used every means at their disposal to build a new Asgard on the ruins..."

A tribal chief stared at the pitch-black monster before him, stammering, "You mean...you are..."

“That’s right, I am one of the descendants of the gods, and I am in charge of managing this newly born divine realm.” Todd pointed to the hall and said calmly, “As you can see, the newly born Asgard has not yet regained all its divine power…”

"Wait a minute!" a tribal chief shouted, "How can you prove you come from the age of the gods?!"

As if he had anticipated such a question, Todd waved his hand and activated a 3D holographic projection in mid-air in the hall, showing the Ragnarok War that Crystal had previously shown him to these leaders.

However, Todd had a trick up his sleeve. He added some extra "Easter eggs" to the footage, including his own image in the final battle and a special segment showing him leading his descendants to escape the realm of the gods.

This edited video, containing both real and fabricated elements, completely won over most of the devout believers on a spiritual level.

Many leaders knelt on their knees, watching Asgard slowly crumble in the flames, beating their feet and weeping loudly.

But a few leaders still stood there, looking at each other helplessly, caught in a dilemma.

After the video ended, Todd turned his gaze to the few people who were still standing: "Why are you unwilling to kneel? Are you questioning the gods?"

A standing leader, trembling, pulled a wooden cross from his chest, moved his swaying body, and took two steps forward: "We are all baptized Christians, and we only acknowledge the almighty and one Lord!"

Another kneeling leader, his eyes bloodshot, rose to his feet, raised his fist, and charged at the other man, shouting, "You blasphemous heretic! How dare you defile the sacred realm of the gods with your mouth!"

Todd gently raised his finger and separated the two who were locked in combat.

He looked at the Christian holding up the cross and suddenly felt that the man looked familiar. Upon closer inspection, he realized that this guy was the tall, thin tribal chief who had fought over grazing land earlier.

"May I have your name?"

Upon hearing Todd's question, the Christian leader touched his swollen cheek and replied, "McGill."

After a moment, McGill added, "My tribe joined Froststone Camp because the Ulsters took our land, increased our taxes, and abducted our sisters. My people and I hate them and are willing to give our lives in the fight against them, but that does not mean we will change our faith!"

Todd swayed the iron thorn tail behind him and looked at the Christian in front of him: "If I remember correctly, you once led your people to participate in the defense of Froststone?"

"That's right!"

"Two warriors from your tribe gloriously sacrificed their lives to protect the camp?"

"Yes, may the Lord protect their souls!"

Todd, in his tyrant form, let out a muffled laugh: "Don't rush to thank the Lord. How can you be sure their souls have returned to the Father's embrace?"

McGill looked up in surprise, seemingly not understanding why the other person would ask such a question.

"Choose one of the two fallen clansmen at random and tell me his name, age, and appearance!"

McGill hesitated for a moment, then finally whispered, "Masikorn, my nephew, 21 years old, has a crescent-shaped scar on his right cheek."

Todd stretched his two iron claws into the air above the hall and began chanting runic incantations. Suddenly, numerous ancient characters, shining with light, appeared on the once smooth and clean floor.

Several seconds later, a pale blue spirit slowly descended from the sky onto Lin's face.

Todd withdrew his arms and looked at McGill slowly, saying, "Take a closer look."

McGill rubbed his eyes, his mouth agape wide enough to fit an egg: "Maxiken!"

The spirit whose name was called looked up at McGill and hesitated before asking, "Chief?"

McGill excitedly tried to hug the spirit, only to find that he had missed.

Todd, reclining on the golden throne, addressed the astonished leaders in the hall: "Masikorn has been taken to the Sanctuary's Hall of Heroes for his valiant deeds on the battlefield."

After exchanging a few words with the spirit of Maxiken and having no further doubts, McGill removed the cross from his neck and slowly knelt at Todd's feet.

"Supreme Descendants of the Gods, I offer you my loyalty!"
