The battle lasted only twenty-one minutes from start to finish.
A group of gladiators and barbarians, fueled by their fanatical faith, shouted slogans such as "Gods above!" and "The gates of Valhalla have been opened!" With their superior morale, equipment, and manpower, they achieved a complete victory with almost no effort.
After the war, guided by the prisoners, the Froststone warriors quickly found the granary inside the castle.
Looking at the mountain of grain in front of him, Todd ordered the prisoners of war and civilians in the town to be driven together, and confiscated all the means of transport in the town, and began to organize transport teams to transport the grain to Froststone Camp.
Sitting on horseback, Todd looked at the residents of Marozie who were wailing in agony under the soldiers' whips, his face grim and silent.
Rachel, who had been watching his expression closely, rode up to Todd's side and whispered, "That's how war is. The victor has the right to decide the fate of the vanquished. These Ulsters before you, in their past victories, also used barbarians as slaves..."
“I know what you’re thinking, Rachel.” Todd slowly closed his eyes. “Sometimes, to accomplish the right thing, you have to resort to some ruthless means, and I have no objection to that. All I can do is keep that ruthlessness within a tolerable range and prevent it from developing into evil.”
Looking at Todd's face, Rachel's thousand words finally turned into a silent sigh.
"Chief!" A man named Ackerman approached Todd with an excited expression and said happily, "We found a lot of valuables in the castle and town."
Todd glanced at the faintly white sky in the east and said, "It's almost dawn. The enemy will soon find out about the attack here. We must get back as soon as possible before the enemy pursuers catch up with us... Load the easily portable valuables onto the vehicles and take them back. Burn the rest on the spot."
After a flurry of activity and preparations, Froststone's army embarked on their journey home, arriving at 11:00 AM.
Todd had already instructed Alfonso to send a team of knights to protect the convoy from the soul space.
As he expected, on the evening of the day of departure, a cavalry regiment from Ulster was the first to catch up with the slow-moving convoy.
Transformed into his tyrant form, Todd unleashed a crushing massacre before everyone's eyes, completely silencing the Ulster captives who dared to resist.
On the second morning, Ulster's infantry regiment caught up with the Froststone army, but the timely arrival of the knights and the high-spirited warriors completely eliminated the pursuing threat with an ambush.
After the two battles that annihilated the pursuing forces, everything became peaceful for the next three miles. The large caravan, carrying the plundered food, wealth, and people, returned safely to the Froststone camp.
As hundreds of large vehicles drove into the camp gate, the excitement and anticipation of all the remaining personnel were completely ignited.
Riding on his horse, Todd basked in the cheers and praise of everyone. For a moment, he suddenly felt that being a king who worked hard for his people wasn't such a bad job after all.
"Pass the word down: we're having a banquet at the camp tonight!" Todd turned to Ackerman and said, "Arrange the necessary guards and sentries. I hope as many soldiers as possible can attend."
The latter nodded and left the group.
Rachel rode up to Todd and gently touched his arm with her finger, gesturing for him to look ahead.
Todd shifted his gaze forward, while Deirdre leaned against the doorway, quietly observing the bustling scene before her.
When Deirdre and Todd's eyes met, the former quickly looked away and turned back into the house.
Rachel winked at Todd, gave her horse a light kick, and rode off toward the building, leaving behind only a beautiful silhouette that made the latter sigh softly.
That night, almost all the soldiers in the camp, except for those responsible for guarding the prisoners and patrolling the surrounding area, attended the grand banquet.
The sizzling steaks on the grill, the frothy bitter ale, the soldiers gathered together, loudly boasting about their victories, occasionally groping the buttocks of female slaves, laughing loudly amidst screams.
Todd, dressed in a bearskin coat, slowly walked onto the banquet stage. His appearance caused all the sounds in the hall to gradually subside.
Looking at the silent crowd below the stage, Todd said, "Before the banquet officially begins, there is one thing that needs to be done."
The soldiers looked at each other, none of them knowing what their leader was referring to.
Todd clapped his hands, and several guard knights carrying several terracotta pots walked to the center of the hall.
Stepping down from the platform, Todd gestured for the knights to put down what they were carrying, then pointed to the jars on the ground and said, "These are the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in this battle..."
The soldiers at the banquet looked at the earthenware jars on the ground, and each of them had a sorrowful expression on their face.
"They proved their worth to the gods with their courage!" Todd raised his hands, his tone impassioned. "They are fully qualified to enter the sanctuary of the gods!"
After saying this, under the shocked gazes of everyone, Todd transformed into his Tyrant form. His massive body blocked out the light in the sky, and his two iron claws acted like magnets, absorbing light from the surrounding torches, braziers, and even the moonlight, growing brighter and brighter.
Using the 'Focusing Light' ability that had just been injected into his body, Todd suddenly clasped his hands together, and a blinding white light exploded in the middle of the camp.
As the light slowly faded, everyone slowly opened their eyes. The earthenware jar containing the ashes had been opened, and specks of phosphorescence, like bubbles leaping in the ocean, slowly rose into the air and disappeared into the distance.
