Chapter 483 Information Exchange

Meredith held up her index finger and waved it in front of Todd, saying with a hint of sarcasm, "Instead of thinking about how to become a god, have you never thought about some more important questions?"

Todd looked at the woman: "The more important question?"

"For example, who exactly is the absolute will that initiated the War of the Chosen Ones? What exactly is the black tower we saw in the Trial of Fate? Besides the tower at the bottom of the Shadow Kingdom, are there similar structures elsewhere? What are their principles and functions?"

Meredith's series of questions aroused Todd's suspicions.

"Have you been investigating these things all along?"

Meredith smiled and nodded: "When I have endless life and no longer yearn for the hustle and bustle of the world, I will naturally turn my attention to more interesting places."

Todd began to wonder how much Crystal knew about his identity and secrets.

Meredith looked directly into Todd's dragon eyes and said in a low voice, "Your eyes tell me that you know something, but you choose to hide it."

Meredith straightened up and slowly said, "To show my sincerity, I'd like to share some of my discoveries with you first."

"Since the invention of writing, the term 'absolute will' has appeared in numerous hidden records. Its shadow can be found in many prehistoric murals or folk songs. The absolute will also constantly changes its form and name depending on the beliefs, gender, and experiences of the person recording it. Sometimes it is a sun, and sometimes it is a humanoid deity. Moreover, it has many other names, such as chaos, the creator, the primordial, etc., but one thing is certain: it created this world and watches over it."

“Similar to the black obelisk at the bottom of the Shadow Kingdom, there are two other obelisks, one located in the ruins of the North Island and the other underground in the Supuha Mountains. The three obelisks are shown as an inverted triangle on the map…” Meredith said, drawing a triangle shape on the ground with a twig.

"According to my investigation, just like the term 'absolute will,' the Black Tower appears repeatedly in rumors and ancient texts from various places. Legend has it that the chosen one can enter the Black Tower, enter the Temple of Creation, and become the God of the World."

Todd said softly, "It's not much different from what I know."

Meredith held a black raven feather in her hand, fiddling with it between her fingers: "There's another little-known fact: someone once traveled to other worlds through the Black Tower."

Todd was taken aback: "Go to other worlds? Could you elaborate?"

“During the time of the ancient Taro, in the northeast of the holy city, a group of shepherds discovered a large number of scattered parchment scrolls deep in a cave. These illiterate shepherds took some of the scrolls back to their village and handed them over to the temple at that time. When they tried to find the cave a second time, they could no longer find the way they had come.”

"After careful examination, the priestess of the temple discovered that the script used in these scrolls was so ancient that it was almost lost. Left with no other choice, she wrote to the capital for help. A month later, a team of scholars from the university arrived in the village and began to study the parchment scrolls."

"After six months of reconstruction and interpretation, Taylor scholars have pieced together a bizarre manuscript."

Todd frowned and pressed on, "A strange manuscript?"

“About 5,500 years ago, there was a chieftain named Mu'aiyed. His tribe members accidentally discovered a giant black tower deep in a cave. Guided by his people, the chieftain walked down the tower for seven days and seven nights, experiencing a series of near-death experiences, and finally arrived at a room-like place deep underground.”

Meredith whispered, "In that room, he saw many glowing crystal barriers, and within those barriers, he saw constantly flashing symbols and images. Muayed tried to touch those crystal barriers, and in his random clicking, his soul suddenly entered a strange world."

"In that world, giant steel birds fly in the sky, steel houses float on the sea, and all buildings are made of stone. When you look up, you can't see the roof."

Upon hearing this, Todd shuddered and quickly asked Meredith, "A giant steel bird? A stone house?"

The latter nodded and said, "Muayed also said that he saw many people dressed in strange clothes speaking to him in a language he couldn't understand at all. One of them even smiled and gave him a coin that was neither gold nor silver."

Todd asked urgently, "And then?"

Meredith glanced at the black dragon: "Muaiyed recorded in the scroll that he suddenly felt a darkness before his eyes, as if he had been pulled out of that world by a huge force and returned to that crystal room. A huge inverted pyramid slowly rose from the ground and floated in front of him, saying that he had made a mistake, awakened something that should not have been awakened, and gone to a place that should not have been gone."

"Then, an earthquake occurred underground, and the black tower slowly sank. Mu'aiyed and his people desperately fled, and in the end, only he survived to reach the surface."

Todd abruptly stood up, staring at Meredith and shouting, "Where are those scrolls now?! Are there any more detailed records about the other world inside?! Did that man named Mu'aiyed say how he entered the Crystal Room?! And! What did those symbols he saw look like?!"
