As the four missiles drew ever closer to the flagship, Barbarossa's instinct for danger compelled him to take off running at full speed toward the stern.
Just as he had run a dozen meters, an unprecedentedly huge explosion occurred at the bow of the ship behind him.
The force of the explosion lifted the entire giant ship off the sea surface before slamming it back into the water.
Two huge holes appeared at the bow of the ship, and a large amount of seawater rushed into the hull through the holes. Due to changes in water pressure and structural damage, the pirate flagship made a creaking sound, and the huge hull began to tilt and slowly sink into the sea.
Clutching a broken mast, watching the hellish explosion unfold before him, Barbarossa opened his mouth to scream, but found that fear and shock rendered him speechless.
A sharp, piercing scraping sound came from the flames produced by the explosion.
Barbarossa forced his eyes open, which were obscured by thick smoke, and saw a woman covered in sharp spikes crawling up the damaged deck like a spider and walking towards him.
Barbarossa stared at the woman's figure, and a strange courage suddenly spurred him to shout, "Who are you?!"
The sharp spikes all over the woman's body swayed gently with her steps, as if they were living creatures.
She walked up to Barbarossa, slowly crouched down, looked at the pirate captain who was barely suppressing his fear with her heterochromatic eyes, and said with a smile, "We meet again, Father."
By the flickering firelight, Barbarossa finally saw the woman's face clearly and exclaimed in utter shock, "Aisha? How could it be you?!"
At that very moment, not far to the north, countless ships sailed down the turbulent strait toward the chaotic port of Muxi.
