Chapter 565 Randall and Barbara (Part 2)

Standing cross-legged atop the snow-capped peak in the Soul Space, Todd looked down at the Crusader army below, quietly awaiting their explanation.

The old elven shaman knelt on the ground, his forehead pressed against the cold earth, his body trembling slightly: "Supreme Dragon God, your servants need revelation."

Behind him, the werewolf shaman shrank back and said to the minotaur shaman beside him, "For the same trivial matter, you have to bother our god twice. What should we do if the dragon god is angered?"

The minotaur shaman lowered his head and sighed, saying, "I don't know."

The old elven shaman pointed to a couple not far away and said loudly, "The tragedy of the Crusaders and humans is repeating itself. This man has deceived our people with words..."

Before he could finish speaking, Barbara loudly retorted, "He's lying! Randall never seduced me! It was all my own choice!"

Todd lowered his dragon head, looked at Barbara and Randall, the ill-fated "lovers," and twitched his lips, his dark golden dragon eyes narrowing into a straight line.

"Shut up! You shameless bastard!"

The old elven shaman turned around, muttered a reprimand under his breath, then quickly turned back to the dragon and said, "Supreme Dragon God, Jacqueline's actions have already brought shame upon our elven race and the Crusaders. If this incident is not properly resolved, it may have a significant impact..."

“I am not Jacqueline! And Randall is not that damned bard!” Barbara broke free from the other elves’ restraints and slowly walked forward. “You don’t know anything about the situation and are just slandering us based on your own imagination!”

The old elven shaman, who had been interrupted twice, rose in fury and pointed at Barbara, shouting, "Your actions have pushed me to my limit! You! And that Jacqueline, your affair with a human man has completely destroyed the elegance and nobility unique to the elven race! Do you now know how the other races of the Crusader view the elves?"

Barbara was about to retort when Randall suddenly stepped forward and said, "My lord, please do not blame women for the elves' bad reputation."

The elven shaman opened his eyes wide: "Human, you have no right to speak here!"

Minnie clenched her fist and coughed loudly.

The old elven shaman paused: "What I mean is, human, watch your words..."

Randall patted Barbara's hand and said loudly, "The Crusaders are servants of the Dragon God, but are they truly united internally?"

"Orcs revere strength, while elves favor strategy. The two often disagree on war and diplomatic decisions. Initially, the two races may have only minor verbal frictions, but over time, these can escalate into sharp conflicts. Tauren and lizardmen value religious rituals and spiritual meditation, while werewolves and dwarves consider these to be superficial matters. These races often attack each other over the details of religious ceremonies."

Seeing the awkward expressions on the faces of the Crusaders around him, Randall continued, "In addition, minority races within the Crusader, such as harpies, bear-men, centaurs, etc., have always been dissatisfied with the fact that their races do not have seats in the Crusader Shaman Assembly and hope to gain a voice in the higher ranks."

Randall looked at the elven shaman: "These have always been problems within the Crusader, but because they involve conflicts and contradictions between races, everyone is reluctant to talk about them. So please don't blame the two women for the problems within the Crusader."

Upon hearing Randall's words, Todd shifted his gaze to the Crusader commander, Ackerman, who immediately broke out in a cold sweat and didn't dare to lift his head.

The orc shaman slammed his staff into the ground and said to Randall in a deep voice, "Human, don't get this wrong. We are judging you now, judging whether you are guilty. As for the internal affairs of the Crusade, that's none of your business."

Todd made his move at that moment.

He raised his dragon claw and drew several symbols in the air, instantly creating a huge mirror-like surface in the sky composed of water ripples.

A moment later, a lifelike scene suddenly appeared in the mirror, just like in a movie.

The first scene shows Randall joining Twilight City, using his regeneration ability and hunter skills to clear out the surrounding bandits, ensuring the roads remain clear and safe.

In the second scene, Randall participates in the Battle of Twilight, fighting bravely against the pirates of the North Island and the barbarians, and defending the last camp of Twilight.

In the third scene, Randall takes advantage of his tour to undertake missionary work, spreading Protestant doctrines to the royal families and nobles of neighboring countries.

In the fourth scene, Randall participated in the Battle of Lone Rock. Isolated and out of supplies, he faced nearly 10,000 enemy soldiers and single-handedly covered the retreat of civilians to escape the battlefield.

When Barbara saw the final scene, with Randall covered in wounds, holding two gunpowder bullets, and intending to die with the enemy, she unconsciously covered her mouth, and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

The surrounding Crusaders looked up at the sky, reflecting on the past deeds of this usually unassuming human. Those who had initially held hostility and contempt for humans gradually changed their minds.

“In this world, there has never been any distinction between high and low, noble and lowly, for different races.” Todd moved the dragon’s body and slowly walked from the foot of the mountain to the ground. He walked around the crowd and said, “Whether it is the old species of humans or the new species of you, the only difference is the physical functions and internal structure, but the most important thing—the soul—is a very similar existence.”

"Among humans, not all are evil; there are also kind and excellent individuals among them, and we cannot generalize. Similarly, not all members of the Holy Order are wise and sensible; ignorance and stubbornness also exist."

Upon hearing Todd's words, many Crusader members showed expressions of guilt and reflection.

Todd also understands that his words today can only make people start to think about the relationship between races and the nature of good and evil. If he wants to completely reverse racial discrimination, he will need to work hard for a long time.

"Today's trial is over." Todd stood in the soul space and announced to the crowd, "I declare that the charges against Barbara and Randall are unfounded."

Todd then turned to the shamans and said, “From now on, trials of members of the Holy Order should begin with witness testimony and physical evidence. Only after thorough investigation and analysis should a decision be made on whether a trial should be initiated.”

Seeing the shamans' submissive demeanor, Todd added, "Remember my words: race and appearance are not the source of evil; pride and prejudice are."

“Minnie, Randall, and Barbara, you will come to the city of Muxi later. The rest of you, please leave.”

After saying this, Todd waved his dragon claw and closed the soul space.
