Soul Space, Meeting Room.
Rachel put a piece of tiramisu in her mouth and asked Todd, "What did you answer her?"
Todd took a swig of beer: "I didn't refuse her, I just said I needed time to prepare the materials."
Rachel shook her head: "You know she won't give up."
Todd looked at the ceiling and sighed: "If Eleanor were to be told all about the Crusader conversion ritual and the principles of the Tyrant, the harm it would cause would be no less than the threat of the undead."
Rachel nodded, holding her fork: "That's right. Once we've dealt with the necromancers, Eleanor will come to deal with our problem."
Rachel refocused her attention on the body in the holographic projection: "Is this really Theodore's work? Can it control the undead? Is that even possible?"
Todd said, "This body does indeed use a variety of biotechnologies, and the culture tank does contain necromancy parasites, which makes it look very much like Theodore's work."
Rachel asked, puzzled, "But how does it control the undead? I mean, how does it control more corpses with one corpse? Is that even possible?"
Todd carefully examined the images in his memory: "I think I can guess a bit. Theodore probably wants to use the Hive Parasite to control the Necromancer Parasite... In principle, the Dragonbone Parasite is a superparasite that can fuse with any parasite, bacteria, and virus, while the Hive Parasite can use the mother worm to control the offspring worms. So if the Necromancer Successor can use the Dragonbone Parasite to leverage the control capabilities of the Hive Parasite..."
After thinking it over carefully, Todd finally sighed: "We can't achieve Theodore's experimental results because we don't know the original structure of the necromancy parasite, so we can't control it with the hive at all."
Rachel suddenly said, "Todd, what if I told you I had a way to steal that body from the Elders' Council..."
Todd immediately rejected the plan: "It's too dangerous. The Holy Decree Stele is the most mysterious place in the entire Council of Elders. It must be heavily guarded, and only Eleanor can open the big door at the entrance."
Rachel put down her fork: "Actually, when I was little, I used to sneak in there."
Todd exclaimed in surprise, "You? You've been inside before? Eleanor said that she was the only one in the entire council of elders who had the key."
Rachel replied, "Did she put her hand through a hole when she opened the door, and the mechanism inside the door drilled a small hole in her hand?"
Todd nodded: "Yes, I remember that."
Rachel continued, “You should know that my original body, I mean the body before the transmigration ritual, was a copy of Eleanor. When I used that body, I used it to sneak into the Elder Council’s sanctuary.”
“However, after Mia died, Eleanor transferred my soul into Mia’s body, and since then, I have never been able to enter that holy place again.”
Todd fell into deep thought: "In other words, when your body was a copy of Eleanor's, you could freely enter the Holy Decree Stone, but when you use Mia's body, you can no longer enter that place."
Rachel said, "So, I think the key to that door is actually Eleanor's body. Or perhaps, to use your previous words, it's her genes... that..."
"Genetic genes".
"That's right, this is it."
Todd said while thinking, "Your analysis makes sense... It seems that entering that door is not a difficult thing, but first we need to find Eleanor's genetic material."
"There's someone who can help us," Rachel said.
Todd guessed what the other person meant: "You mean Illid? I doubt he would help. He's not even willing to join forces with us to fight the undead."
Todd continued, "I repeatedly emphasized the dangers of the undead to him, but he wouldn't give me a straight answer. I don't understand, if Eleanor has Theodore's body as her weapon against the undead, then what kind of trump card does Eliard have?"
At that moment, Rachel remembered something: "The notes about Eliade..."
Todd asked, "What happened to Elijah's notes?"
As Rachel recalled, she said, "It seems that a part is missing from Eliade's notes."
"A part is missing?"
“Iliad’s notes seem to have deliberately omitted a part of the description and analysis of the beacon tower.”
Todd asked, puzzled, "About the beacon tower of Crystal Palace?"
Rachel said, "Elijard's goal is to awaken the sage Sutherland, and then have Sutherland lead all the alien races in the fight for freedom and independence. But why is he deliberately concealing the Beacon Tower, and what is the connection between the Beacon Tower and Sutherland?"
Todd rubbed his forehead with his palm: "Eleanor's goal is to use the tyrant and the Crusader's conversion ritual to create a powerful army and control the entire continent. But I have no idea what Eliard is planning... So, what exactly do we have about the Beacon Tower now?"
Rachel said, "According to the North Island Documents, the Conlino Ancient Texts, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Eliard Notebooks, there are currently three Beacon Towers in total: one located underground in the Valkyrie Village of the North Island, one located underwater in the Shadow Kingdom, and one located at... the bottom of Mount Supuha."
Todd frowned and asked, "The beacon tower at the bottom of Mount Supuha, the one below the Elder Council? Is that where the sage Sutherland rests?"
